Try this configuration, although you'll have to switch ROM's, but that shouldn't be a problem if you do a NANDroid backup of what you have. This way, you have the freedom of reverting back to this point if you don't like the configuration I propose.
ROM: CyanogenMod-7.0.0
Kernel: couttstech-2.6.38_OC1190_HAVS_Ginger_BFS_BFQ2_SLQB
Radio: 5.17.05.08 (<---- This is a new radio)
** Edit: I must give my thanks to k3lcior to introducing me to this kernel.
PM me if you want the link to the kernel since I wasn't allowed to post any links as I'm new to this forum.

Stock kernel for HTC Desire?

Does anyone have a link for a stock kernel which would be compatible with my set up (in sig)?
I want to try a stock rom to see if I can get sky go to work on my desire as it can't be used on a rooted device, others have had success by changing their kernel.
Thanks in advance.
As far as I know you are stuck with thalamus' kernel if you are running Oxygen rom.

So it is. But imho that's not really a disadvantage: _thalamus' kernel is a good one.

I agree. He does come to me as somewhat arrogant but I got to admit the dude haz teh skillz.
Could I try a stock rom and kernel and then go back to my current set up or would I then be unrooted?
Well you can "try" and flash the kernel I am using I suppose... but as far as I know it will break your camera and probably some other stuff I don't know. Do a nandbackup just in case you want to be adventurous. You only wanna find out if Sky would work if you change kernels first right?

Yes that's right, it has to be a stock kernel as sky do a check on the kernel before the stream loads apparently.
Well if it's stock kernel that it requires, then you have to use the official Sense based rom and kernel. All sense roms here uses a custom kernel so you are out of luck. You can't use Sense kernel on AOSP roms anyway.
OK cheers
I will have to wait for techy people to hack the sky go app then.
Depending on how Sky works, you can try and flash one those sense based roms. Who knows, the custom kernel they have might work. I have the impression that they are all based on the original sense kernel anyway. Or just wait for someone to hack the app.

[Q] Plz help me to find the best root image for Nexus Galaxy

Hi
I'm new here and was wondering if someone helpful member could help me to find the best and most stable image. Preference would be given to effective and long battery-use and stability.
Thanks in advance
Factory images?
So, you mean to say you want the image that originally came with your phone? Stock is the most stable from my experience.
Download stock factory images from https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images and flash it to your phone using the instructions there.
Actually I was not asking for the stock image. I was asking for the most stable image for a rooted Galaxy Nexus to improve battery-life.....

Try AOKP, its one of the best ROMs out there: http://forum.aokp.co/page/news
it allows you to tweak CPU settings to improve battery life. If you are lazy and don't want to tweak it, download the Franco kernel, it is extremely stable and improves battery life.
Thanks a lot vx117...could you provide me with a link from where I can get the latest and most updated 'Franco kernel' along with other tools/software to complete the operation?
So when you said unroot in the title you didn't mean stock? Kernels are in the development section..

Should probably follow the basic convention of saying "ROM" when you're talking about custom software...

Franco.kernel can be found here, to flash it and the ROM you'll need a recovery, you can choose TWRP or Clockwork Mod (personal preference). To actually get the recovery on the phone, you'll need to have fastboot (unfortunately I don't have a copy of the windows version with me).
I would highly recommend Franco.kernel + AOKP as they both give great stability, great battery-life and they are very customisable.

I'm also using Asian version and wondering about this as well. I kind of assume that since the custom kernels work across geography, the stock kernel is the same.
thank you man
Iam using an arabic stock rom and I try it and its work great
I don't suppose you have the same for 2.17 stock Kernel please
Just recently rooted my One X, still on stock ROM and now I'm thinking on changing only the kernel.
If anything goes wrong, I'm reverting to stock kernel again.
Thank you for the files!

I was wondering why you had written to the developer section. Here is the kernel of disciplexone (einstein.frat). I use the DSCPLX1 and it is the best kernel in terms what the CPU control and battery power. The Links:
Download DSCPLX1 v1.2
Cake Lycan v1.4
Dust v9.0
This is my upload Acc from Germany! You'd have to test the functionality for Stock Rom!

But as I said I'm on all my Wildfire S no stock Rom.Did you ever try the overclockable stock kernel from this section? But I do not know if this works 100% but he would have to be online.
