Need new charger? - EVO 4G Accessories

My evo has stopped charging. It won't charge with the chargers it came with..and i've tried my sisters charger and my own and nothing. Do i need a new charger? or is it the phone itself that needs to be replaced? It's running MIUI 11.5 rom and bcblend BFS. Oh btw i was looking at this charger...has anyone ever used it?

if you have tried two different chargers you need a new phone. That is if they were both wall/ac chargers and not of the usb variety which could be a different problem

Chargers

Has anyone had problems with chargers not working? I have over ten different chargers but only one will work with my phone. When I 1st bout my phone I didn't have this problem. I'd there a special way I can calibrate my phone so it'll work with other chargers again?

I've had this issue with some chargers, but not all. Some HTC chargers no longer charge my phone (or they charge very, very slowy) and none of my kindle chargers charge my phone. I mainly use Palm Pre chargers (those things are beasts!), as well as the one I got from Samsung, and they work fine. I think it has to do with the Amperage and Voltage output of the chargers. Have you compared the ones you're trying?

I've had only one other work for me which I don't know what kind it was but I'm currently using the nokia usb charger. No car charger works nor does the original Sprint charger. Grrrrrr
Update: I cleaned out the usb port with a needle and I got 3 out of the 10 to work besides the 1 so I'm gonna go with that. Still no car charger to work but my 1 charger was on its last leg so I'm not complaining.............yet!
You can try Compressed Air. The type that is used on keyboards. Just be very careful. Also not all Chargers are equal. The Specs vary, sometimes greatly. Also the thread HERE has some info, even though it is not for our exact device.

[Q] nexus 7 wont charge except with official cable?

I tried charging my nexus 7 on 3 different cables, that work, and the it would not charge. My original cable is starting to come apart at the end and I needed to use a different cable but none of them work. Does anyone know why this is?

I've been able to charge my N7 with multiple cable brands. I've used cables from ASUS (stock cable), Motorola, Monoprice, Logitech, and the stock S4 charger cable. Not sure if it would make a difference but are you using the stock wall outlet adapter?
Also are you sure it isn't charging or just that it doesn't show the charging indicator.
I've noticed some units don't indicate they are charging, but if you leave it connected, the battery level does increase.
i have used many cables offician and third brands, without problems. do you use stock firmware or custom? root or unrooted?
The cable that came with N7 was left in the box ever since I bought the tablet. Charging has never been a problem with any other cable that I used. Now I am used to charging wirelessly most of the time though.
mine can be charged fine from various cables and adaptors.
i suppose it's defective and suggest you claim if still possible!

Charging Problem

Hey guys, I've done some searching and I'm still not entirely sure. The problem is that my phone can connect to my computer and is able to transfer files just fine but it will either never charge or charge extremely slowly (1%/2hours). Same thing happens with the wall charger and various other cables/adapters. I've already went back to stock and did a full wipe. The Galaxy Charging Current app does not work for me at all (only displays current_avg: 0). I'm planning to get my micro usb port replaced but I was wondering what are your thoughts on this.

I had the same issue with my S3. I happened to have a playbook charger around that chargerd it perfectly. It required a higher amperage than what the stock charger was providing. No amount of wiping, or flashing anything was fixing it. it was a hardware issue and i'm gonna guess that yours is too. Try another charger before going the replace micro route. An old moto charger that I had also worked. anything at about 2 amp did. The micro port is soldered to the board and the idea of having someone cut it off and re attaching it properly scared me.

Charging from a "Legacy" charger

Previously I was using my iPhone charger with an Anker USB-A to USB-C cable to charge my Nexus 5X. One day it just stopped doing it (this could well be when I upgraded to Nougat).
If I plug my iPhone in to the charger, no problems. If I use the Anker cable to connect to my laptop, again no problems. I have two Anker cables, same deal with the other one. It used to work any idea why it doesn't anymore.
I did try re-flashing the phone with the latest nougat image today, just to check that I didn't have some weird config setting from all of my meddling, but didn't make any different. Has anyone else experienced this. I guess the real proof for myself would be to downgrade to Marshmallow, while I currently don't have anything installed on the phone.

I lost the original charger, what were its specs and what is the best replacement in?

So I lost my charger some days ago and since our phone supports proprietary fast charging I wanted to know if there was a way to get a similar charger to work. I tried going to the service center but they don't have the replacement charger. Thanks.
