Please help with sd card

Hi to everyone at this great website
I rooted my phone and everything has been working fine until yesterday i was trying to take pictures and was not able to take any at all and was getting an error that the evo was not able to access the sd card then I tried connecting it to my computer to see if there was anyway to access it through it and was unsuccessfull.
Please help without the files in the sd card I don't know if I can restore the phone back to factory settings if I need to return the phone
Please any one who can help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
I know this is like not helpful at this point, but I would recommend when u get this taken care of that you make a complete backup of you SD card with the nandroid backups and original restoration on a computer in case.this ever happens again. I did this and was saved when my SD card died on me. Good luck.
I bet there's a stock image out there somewhere.

Thanks for your comments, I hope other people can post other ideas as to how to recover from this problem.
Please help
Any one has any other recommendations? My problem is it doesn't detect the card at all. By the way I did made a copy of all the files the were in the SD card, but the problem is I can't copy to the SD card because it doesn't detect the card. I have even tried formating the card and that still didn't work.
Have you installed the OTA update? It was supposed to take care of this issue. Have you tried another SD card?
I just tried another card and it works then I tried the evo SD card im my blackberry and it doesn't work there either, so my conclusion is that the evo card is corrupted I can't even format it.
By the way once you root your phone I can't update unless it was the SD card problem not sure.
Thanks for your response
If you haven't installed the OTA update then I would just in case it is the problem. There is a rooted version here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=697636.

SD Card fix is described in post here and from another forum here.

Phone keeps booting into fastboot

Hey guys.
I've been trying all night to partition 4GB SD card on my HTC Desire and got a problem. I'm getting stuck in fastboot, every time i want to reboot my phone, as I did normally before, i can not, because it boots directly into fastboot. I partitioned with Rom Manager, but have read all around that it does partition the sd card only to ext2, and you need to update to ext3 manually but I didn't know how, even if I read a lot of different tutorials. I can't even get into my froyo and mount my SD card to the pc
Now, can somebody help me get out of this mess?
Any help would be appreciated. Thx.
EDIT:
After reading many more posts lately, I've found out that partitioning went well and that showing 3.2 GB of free space on the SD card was right... Sounds very noobish though.
But, still can't get my mobile phone working, can't even put a new ROM on the SD card and flash it, because can't even mount the SD card on the pc :/

[Q] sd card not recognized!!help please!

Hi,
my htc wildfire s is not recognizing my sd card..i have tried soft and hard reset..even fashed 2-3 other roms..(clockwork mod is able to recognize my sd card if i specifically mount it, so i can install roms and patches)...i tried the solution gven in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695243 but it didnt work...please help..!!currently my phone is bootloader unlocked and in s-on stage running cm7 rc1 stable version!
Have you formatted the sdcard to fat32?
sent from my android powered beast!
yes i have...also it was already in fat32!!hmmm..i did make a partition of 1gb ext2 for link2sd..but now am not able to view in in the partition manager......now i have only around 6gb for use...but that doesnt matter..i just want my card to be recognized in my phone!!
Some class 4 cards are not recognised. What class is yours?
i dont know...how do i find class f the card..its sandisk card that i bought..i m from india..also initially the card was working fine..after i made the partition this morning it stopped working...also card is mounting in clockwork mod recovery without any errors...so i guess theres no problem with the card..
P.S--if i revert back to non rooted stock HTC, will this be fine??

I also had this problem with my 8gb class4 card. Bought a new one. Or you can run Thing ROM by einstein.frat, search it.

No Luck For Me
I believe it may just be a hardware issue I am having. But maybe someone can point me out to something helpful.
I put the card in, it is not recognized, by either the phone, or by CWM
With the phone on, and in 'Settings' -> 'SD & Phone Storage', the card does not appear. I slowly pull the card out, and 'Mount SD' & 'Erase SD Card' both go from unavailable (greyed out), to full on available and White for a split second. After that nothing...
It does this with 3 different cards. an 8G Class 4, a 2G Class 10, and a 2G Class 4
I've contacted HTC about it, but who knows when they'll get back to me. Anyone here know of a solution?
Try formatting the sdcard or reset phone.

Sorry. Tried that too. Multiple times

It's as if the contacts inside the phone are screwed up. Like I said, when I pull the card out of the phone, while in the settings, it recognizes it on the way out for a split second.
I've been trying for the last half-hour to try to get it right to that point where it flashes the 'mount' to white... but I must just have goofy thumbs, because I can't quite get it...
Following you I have lost all my datas from SD card

Need Help! Stuck at Bootscreen Nothing helps!

Hi,
I've been using CM9 on my Desire GSM SLCD for a few months now and everything worked fine.
Today I restarted my phone and now I always get stuck on the CM9 Bootscreen.
After trying a few times i thought I would just reflash the thing and that would be that. Now the problem is that i get an error saying that my sd card cannot be mounted. Now this is quite an issue because if my sd-card can't be mounted I can't flash anything.
Now I've been googling for about 2 hours, and I've been trying everything I've found but I can't seem to get lucky.
Data:
I'm using Revolutionary as Recovery.

Can anyone plz help me ? It would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately I don't have anything like that. I'll try to get my hands on one.
//edit:
I don't know how but suddenly my phone is booting like I have just reflashed the rom. No settings no nothing is left. It's also using a different boot-screen...I have no idea how that happend.
It's now telling me that the sd-card is damages so I guess that's the problem.

I used fatformat32 found here. http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/guiformat.htm
Worked perfectly for me. I placed the sd card in my laptop card reader for formatting.

Thanks for the info I'll try this when I get home tonight.
Hope this helps
You can also try EASEUS Partition Master, google it.
ALso when it comes to sd cards, always "safely eject" the card from your PC. Just pulling it out from your PC or Phone without ejecting it could cause the SDCARD to get corrupted.
