Sorry if this has been answered but this time i did a search and went through many threads and still couldnt find the answeres but I just upgraded to WM6 and looking at the features it should have, i can't seem to find them. One particular folder is the "Games&Apps" folder. Could someone send me the cabs or the folders or direct me on how to find this. Also can we just get a lists of cabs that includes some of these programs built into WM6. I did get some from Schaps great Rom already.
FYI: Mobi TV, Bubble Breaker and Solitaire i can see, but the other applications i cannot find. Please help.
Games & Apps Play many pre-installed games, such as Bubble Breaker,
Solitaire, and more. Launch some useful applications, such as Mobi TV,
My Space Mobile, My Cast, and more.
Take a look IN THIS THREAD. Good luck.
Thanks Todd, the description of what i am really looking for is below. I found this on the user guide.

Were these files part of the official ROM from your operator? If so you will not find them in Schaps ROM for sure (because most of operator installed apps are considered a bloat and erased from custom ROMs...) Folder with that name is not a standard folder in any ROM I tried so far (and I tried about 50 of them).
If it was a part of your operator ROM you can take a look in Extracted EXT ROM section of wiki and hopefully you will find apps you seek there.
Hey there
I love balckstone...I have no problems with it...only sometimes some bug or lag or sometimes battery dies sooner than I would like it to due...but it is OK...I bought this device because it has huge display and looks awesome...
This type of question was asked before...but not like this...
I bought this because I wanted it to be something that I will want to use every single minute - but it is not like that - I thought that there are millions of MEGA AWESOME apps but there are not...
And here comes the question...(this is my first WinMo device so I haven;t done any research in the past):
Is blackstone/WM 6.1 too new so no cool apps and games exist for it?
Are they still in development? Or there is nothing going to happen?...
My point is that I don't know how it was and how it will be...I remember when IpodTouch came (I own one) we all waited, first we did jailbreak than played few games that werent that cool but nowadays I can play AWESOME games on my ipod...so is this the same with blackstone? is that all fancy stuff still in dev? or not?
Because to be honest, this really sucks..I know this is not a gaming device, but it would be nice to have some cool game on it...something fullscreen and playable and amusing...
Sorry to post such a long sh*t but I am really sad and confused that I spent so much money on this baby and yet can't have a lot of fun with it.
And also some very useful application to fully customize the look of the today screen (I dont use TF3D) etc...something that is fullscreen on blackstone, is really awesome does cool things looks nice...and everything..I know it is easy to say and difficult to do...but I am not a programmer...I am a user...aaa...enough of ****chat
PS: please post only reasonable answers, if you have to say this has been posted dont do that just close the thread and delete it..I'd like some serious answers...thank you.
First of all, use the search function here on Blackstone forum.
There are whole threads dedicated to games available for Blackstone that work in full-screen and are very nice.
But, if you expect same amount of games for Touch HD like there is for iPhone, then you will be disappointed. Because indeed, Touch HD is not a gaming phone, but rather a business / multimedia / navigation phone.
As for the apps - there's a HUGE amount of applications available for Windows Mobile that work normally on Touch HD. There are many sites that provide freeware WinMo apps, and in fact you can find many cool apps right here on this forum. Again - search function, or simply browse Themes, Applications and Software forum. There are also a few very useful threads that have lists of most popular Touch HD applications, with descriptions.
The question is simply what kind of apps are you looking for?
You are the FingerKeyboard guy..hey there...
Yep, Finger Keeyboard 2 is one of the bestest apps I had and have on my phone...thank you for it...
about the search function - I am not retarded, I searched a lot and found a lots of useful stuff...
But as I have mentioned, as I am a new WinMo user I expected much more...
I dont know what more to say...
Glad you like the FingerKeyboard Seems a lot of people do!
As for the app quantity - there is really a lot of WinMo applications, since this system has been around for a very long time. Not all of them are usable on Touch HD, but many, many are.
I think you should simply say what kind of apps are you looking for (besides games) and I'm sure people will give you advices. If you need some inspiration, try:

thank you very much
I'm addicted to flashing. But I like my apps. Ive collected some good ones, and I hope that this thread is useful. I had always wished that there would be a central place that I could look at for quality apps for the Excalibur. I will try to get the .cab files on this post, but for now all download links are in descriptions:
Web Browsers:
Opera Mini: The most functional internet browser for the Excalibur. the .cab file(s) is attached in the 2nd post on this thread.
Skyfire: Better web browser, plays flash. Slow on the Excalibur no matter which ROM you use Official site here.
Bolt Browser: Currently in open beta, is a Java program and works like Opera Mini, but based on webkit. Worth a try if you are looking for something new. Official site here.
Communication:
Windows Live: An essential, allows push email if you have a Hotmail or lLve account. Offical site here.
Facebook: Is a good application that runs smoothly. My only gripe with it is that the feeds are not pushed to the application. Instead if you want to find something out, you have to refresh it. You can upload pictures, videos, update status, comment on other's, etc. I have the .cab attached or it is here
Tiny Twitter: The best twitter client for our phone. Official site here.
Palringo: My favorite IM application. Does all the typical IM services, but also Facebook! Awesome. Official site here.
Fring: Another decent IM software. I prefer Palringo. But if your taste differs, official site is here.
Skype: Fun, useful and saves minutes if you pay. You can send texts for free through it though. A defeinite plus. Official site here.
Entertainment:
Kinoma FreePlay: An excellent media application. Although it does use quite a bit of memory- its All-In-One aspect justifies its use of RAM. It plays your music, photos, and video... But you can also access YouTube, stream radio stations, Flickr, you name it! Kinoma FreePlay is free but the upgraded version, Kinoma Play is $30. Official site is here, its worth checking out.
SmartGear: The best emulator for windows mobile. Plays Sega Genesis, Gamegear, NES, GBC. It is free to try, $10 to buy. Official site here.
Pocket Nester Plus: Free, but not as good as SmartGear. Only plays NES games. Find to download here.
Kevtris: Best Tetris game for windows mobile in my opinion. Download here.
Pandora: Update New pandora .cab tested and working good on WM 6.5 EVO 2.0 Naturally works best with WiFi since the Dash has no 3G. The .cab is attached to this post.
TCPMP: The most versatile, and free media player. Will play almost anything you throw at it (like a vlc for windows mobile). You can download either here or here with extra codec support.
Navigation/Search:
Google Maps Mobile: Best mapping application for our phone. Official site here.
Bing: If you are familiar with Windows Live Search, this is it- rebranded. It is useful. Official site here.
Backup:
Microsoft MyPhone: Backs up your texts, media, contacts. Overall useful application if you don't go for Dashwire. Official site here.
Dashwire: Free, like Microsoft's MyPhone, it is a backup of contacts, pictures, videos, etc. But then from online you can send texts from your phone. Its cool. Again, .cab is attached but official site is here
Organization:
Microsoft Recite: Stores voice memos and can look them up via your own speech. Surprisingly useful. Worth a try. Official site here.
EDIT: There are lots of members contributing to this thread with lots of other great applications. Please read through the comments below because there is some great stuff to find here!
If you feel like I have missed an application, please post it and share!
If you like this thread, please say it. I (think) I'm doing good by posting this thread and making newcomers, or more experienced users, lives easier.
~Reserved for more .cab files~
awesome and extremely useful!
Good idea! Hopefully, we will not need to search threads and posts to find our apps anymore!
This IS a useful post!
Heres some links to a whole buttload of CABs:
REMOVED LINK DUE TO WAREZ
and here:
REMOVED LINK DUE TO WAREZ
All the CABs your ever need and then some!
And my collection of NES roms:

I'm glad that this thread is appreciated. Thank you for contributing!
thanks guys
Thanks for the "Microsoft MyPhone" I was needing a free app that also backed up my calender since I switch phones often and its a P.I.T.A. to have to manually sync up my calenders from phone to phone. Dashwire wont do that and I dont use outlook.
Thax for this thread
does anyone have the cracked version of foxit reader? i had it but when i switch roms i forgot to back it up. its a freeware, but theres no way for me to register because i think they abandoned the project
Thanks for the thread!
Another useful cabs are
Autokeylock, by maniac.
Clock on Top
CT Scheduler (lite version is free)
Base hue
Freeup ram
**And of course, a registry editor***
edit:cabs uploaded
This would be handy as a sticky topic. That way it would be easy to find it when someone goes looking for something.
Any way here are a couple links that I would like to share. I found them to be useful from time to time.
more apps .......
amAzeGPS: A sweet Free GPS nav with 3D view and voice turn by turn. Usually you have to pay for a program like this. Data connection required.
MyPhone: phone contacts, calender, photos, etc back-up app as mentioned in the first post. IMO better than Dashwire because it dosent make the phone lag or eat up RAM. Data Required.
Bejeweled are just trials but I just uninstall and reinstall them to use them again.

I don´t know if it´s current version, but this one works pretty well.
I know for sure that the wm6.5 from NRGZ and Ookba have it cooked in 2.0 version. but since I couldn´t find a CAB for 2.0, grab this one.

Thank you for posting good applications guys! (especially phatmanxxl)

Great thread!
I know several of us here are in the medical field and I thought I would start a thread, where we can share information of how our phones can be useful to us in our field. My goal is to spread the word as to what tools are available to us, regardless of what branch of the medical field we are all in.
If anyone has used some good programs or if you simply want to confirm that an application works well with the resolution of the HD, then please share with the rest of us.
Just as a reminder to everyone, XDA is not a place to share illegal content, so please don't post links to cracks etc...
I'll start with links to several web pages where you can find a lot of apps.
Medical Wizards. They have a lot of nice solid apps.
Skyscape has a lot of apps both for desktop PC and PPC.
Mobipocket has a section for medical ebooks. You might find some useful. The nice thing here is that you can install the reader on your PC and your PPC so you can view their ebooks on either one.
Handy Patients (from Handylife.com). I think the graphics need major improvement, but it seems to have excellent features for patient management.
PDA-Medicus: Although the website is in German, many of the links are to English apps. You can use Google translation to translate paragraphs in the pda-medicus site that might interest you.
And for any German speakers...
Mobipocket in German has some good ebooks - readable on PC and PPC.
PDA-Medicus (mentioned above) has a well organized list of links both in German and in English - freeware as well as shareware.
Reserved space in case it's needed in the future.
Are there any good ones for dentists?

I just did a quick search and found these for dentists:
PDA Resources for dentists
LexiComp PDA Software for dentists: The first three on that list (as of today) are for iPhone only. But starting with the Lexi-Dental-Suite and below, they are also offered for PPC.
Skyscape ebooks for dentists: you'll have to see which ones are for PPC. That link will show you a lot books, but some are also for general health care knowledge.
Maybe someone else can recommend other ones too.
I have been looking for a nice today screen weather app for some time. I don't use the TF3D interface and did not like the built in app anyway. It had that really pesky problem of limited city selections. Anyway this is not intended to be a full comparison but just some comments I hope you will find useful in selecting a solid today weather app.
Tools I looked at:
-HTC TF3D app
-MSN Weather app
-Elocent Weather: http://www.elecont.com/weather-for-pocket-pc.aspx
-Weather to go: http://tonaya.com/products/wtg/index.php
-PocketWeather: http://www.sbsh.net/products/windows_mobile_pocket_pc/pocketweather
Indirectly looked at:
-Fizz Weather
-SPB Weather
Through this nice "shoot out": http://www.mytodayscreen.com/shootout-weather-applications/ (also included PocketWeather)
MSN Weather: Way too simple only the basics, not a today screen app.
Elocent: Looks like a solid contender, nice time history graphs, full featured, $10.
Weather To Go: Nice basic today screen, FREE, not maintained. Had some issues with memorization of the default city.
PocketWeather: Pricier at $15 but nice free eval period. Is both a nice light today app and provides more details than most will ever need. The winner for me.
PocketWeather provides current conditions, forecast, descriptive icons, customizeable icons, customizeable today details, sunrise/sunset, wind, humidity, direct METAR reports from nearby airfields, radar pictures, world daylight map, earthquake data and auto updates, strong control over data sources and download frequencies. UV index would be a nice feature that is missing.
In short an amazing little app. Do note I have no affiliation, stake nor conflict of interest with any of the products nor companies mentioned here.
I hope you found this useful in selecting a weather app. Feel free to add reviews, links or comparisons, whatever.
Have you tried WeatherPanel. I think its the best one out there and its free.
^ Looks very solid. I think you have the price wrong. Perhaps you can download for free or perhaps payment is optional but the site ( http://www.marsware.net/WeatherPanel/purchase.htm ) says $13. Moon phase info by any chance - it did not look like it. Lastly it does not appear to be maintained (not since 2005). Thanks.
Edit, update. I DL-ed this but no matter how I choose the two uddate options I can not even get a single data update to populate the today page. Bummer.
Ive been trying to find a good weather app as well. I also have TF3D disabled.. Ive been looking for something that will add in to my zune-ish today screen and has nifty animations. I've been checking out this one which allows to find location by GPS. Not free but has a really nice layout and functionality. Might go with this one..
edit: have new user restrictions and cant post a link. Google GWeather Ageye
I use WeatherBug (free):
http://weather.weatherbug.com/mobile/weatherbug-windows-mobile.html
and SPB's weather plugins.

It was discontinued by the writers but was picked up and supported by PPCGeeks and Storyr in particlular.
This is a great thread on it at PPC Geeks although the same info in here on XDA. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=7357&highlight=weatherpanel
Try this cab. Weatherpanel 2010 with moon phase fixed until end of 2012.
