If you have developed and successfully had your app or game published to the Microsoft WP7 Marketplace, tell you fellow xda-ers.
This isn't supposed to be a blatent marketing attempt for your app, but it's a good place to let people know of you program or game and get feedback.

We are very proud to announce the first release of ShoppingTime, GS Code's first application for Windows Phone 7.
Product: ShoppingTime 2010
Version: 1.0.2600.4210
Author: Wayne Gao
ShoppingTime is an application which allows you to track your shopping procedures. It provides a simple way to record your shopping items, a straightforward style to browse your desired goods and a history list back to one year. In essence, it works as a shopping list, reminding you not to forget anything to buy. Furthermore, it provides the ability to create periodical shopping plans. Do you have to re-stock something every month? OK, it's just created for this. With extreme user experience, ShoppingTime has the confidence to be a handy assistant while you're enjoying your shopping time.
Key features for the first release:
Accepts simple input for recording shopping items.
Provides an advanced mode for specifying more details, including tags, descriptions, activation dates and recurrence configurations.
Supports up to 3 custom tags for each shopping item.
Provides a tagged shopping list, with the ability to switch among different categories.
Supports to save the extra information while checking out an shopping item, including costs, payment methods and remarks.
Provides a history list which dates back to 1 year, shown month by month.
Provides the ability to change ShoppingTime settings.
Supports multi-languages, including English(United States) and Chinese(China).
It's already been available in MarketPlace for Windows Phone 7. Try it! Enjoy it!
I've released two things already:
Sketch Defense - Tower Defense, costs a buck. Currently working on some additional levels and additional enemies.
Random Fun - Suggests random activities, free. Currently working on adding different options for location and also group/single activity option. Assing more suggestions as well.
Please give me feedback! I started programming only a few months ago and appreciate all feedback negative or positive.

Developed gMsg a group sms/text messaging solution
This app, gMsg, greatly simplified the task of group messaging from your phone. Using Google's simple online contact managment tools you can maintain your contacts and assign them to groups. Anyone can sign up for a Google account for free and you can simply import your contacts from any other contact management tool.
Feature List:
- Messages are stored so you know what you sent
- Max recipient handling using back button to iterate
- Select multiple groups and further filter contacts within that group
- View ungrouped google contacts and group them on the go

PSA barcode reader
Whe've developed the first barcode reader app for Windows Phone 7. Since version 1.3 we've got a significant better barcode detection and product serach. At the moment there is no way to access the video camera, but I think we've found a good alternative solution.
At the moment the app can only detect EAN13/UPC barcodes, EAN8 will come in one of the next versions.
Games games games
Update - version 1.3 is out. Enjoy!
I've published a Tetris (TM) clone on the marketplace right now, which is getting very good reviews, especially considering there is an official Tetris (TM) game from EA out there.
The name is Tetrada and more info is available here:
http://www.appsfuze.com/games/windowsphone.puzzleandtrivia/tetrada,2947
http://www.karios.gr/?p=109 (this also includes a very nice video of gameplay)
Version 1.3, which is a big improvement, is pending acceptance right now, so v1.2 is the current one.
There is a trial version available that allows you to play a single level at a time, with no time limits.
My second game is almost complete, but I will post more about it when info is available.
My First App: Math Flash Card
http://www.appsfuze.com/games/windowsphone.puzzleandtrivia/math-flash-card,2967
This is an app for your K-5 kids to work on their math skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. You can select the number range to work with, and which operations to use. It keeps your score/grade overall and for each area.
I have an update in the works that gives you finer control over the # ranges.
I don't have too many rating, but have sold about 30 copies in a month.

Beat Drop
Think this thread is a great idea to get feedback on apps from the community directly .
I created Beat Drop a month ago and is meant to fill my want of hypem for the phone.
Beat Drop is a music blog aggregator that allows you to follow popular music blogs and stream their music straight from your phone.
It's free 99 so download it and let me know what you think!
http://social.zune.net/redirect?type=phoneApp&id=8dcb4dac-bbf7-df11-9264-00237de2db9e
and yes, I would love to add the functionality to have users add blogs. But with blogs not having a standard way of hosting music, I've opted for somewhat of the Hypem approach of having set blogs that are validated/tested to work w/ my app.
I wrote a game where you touch a highlighted square 20 times as quickly
as you can & each time you pressed it, more squares would appear,
plus they would move & change size. Then I decided I could do slightly
better & expanded it to have 5 levels & to keep record of your fastest times.
I called it TouchMeQuick, its free & its now had over 25,400 downloads.
Its completely blown my mind how many people have downloaded it.
The last app I made available to the masses was for windows mobile & I
remember being over the moon when I hit 300 downloads, so this really
has been quite epic for me.
You can see screenshots, video, etc on my website here: CLICKY :3
My app is PicoLyrics. It's like a karaoke - shows animated lyrics, scrolling down and highlighting current line.

Hi there,
one of the first things when i received my new HD2 was to look for a PSN-Trophy-Viewer. To my surprise i did not find one, so i decided to build my own.
This is a very early version and will as such have bugs and missing features. Also, even though you can specify when to download infos, there will be traffic that may cause additional costs for you - depending on your network plan.
Still, if you would like to test my first Windows Mobile App, i would appreciate feedback and feature-requests.
The app needs CF3.5 and is created with the help of the excellent SenseSDK by eboelzner
Current Features
- Watch your rank and trophy-details (no PSN-password required!)
- Watch trophy-overview per game
- Watch trophy-detail per game (due to trophy-source hiddens are still missing even after achieving them - only in detail-mode, overview works fine)
- add friends and see and compare trophy-stats
- downloading of thumbs for each trophy (0.8)
- recent trophies (0.7.8)
- credit screen for SDK! (0.7.8)
- an icon and startlist entry (not perfect but in 0.8)
Planned Features
- bookmark trophies you want to tackle
Known Bugs
- some trophy names and/detail descriptions may cause the app to crash (please post)
- some games are truncated after apostrophe-signs
- some gamethumbs are not identified (please post those cases)
- sometimes on switching connection type the app may crash
===========================================
EDIT: June 2nd 2010 - 0.7.4
- fixes several crashes - at least improves stability
- autodownloads avatars if image was not available when adding friend
- several more games are shown (ACII, RDR, FIFA10, +) [NOTE: If you have already downloaded the game info and have broken data, go to settings and enable 'always download game info' under temporary settings. This will force the app to refetch the gamedata - please post games that are still broken]
- thanks to sergio76 the app should now have a shortcut (it appears under 'Applications' for now - will be fixed in the next release)
EDIT: June 26th 2010 - 0.8
- fixes several smaller bugs
- downloading of trophy thumbs is now possible
- again more games fixed
If you feel like donating, here's the button. Of course it is not required. This is a free app!

Thanks Nice Idea Here is a cab that installs With the Icon a made for you if you like it use it and a shortcut on startmenu/Applications.
EDIT: UPDATED THE CAB NOW INSTALLS WITH THE ICON.
Nice! I have been looking for something like this for ages! Good luck with your development
Thanks alot for this app, its a really awesome one, I have also been looking for an app to see my trophies myself, but was never really able to make an app...So thanks, would like to see the bugs get fixed btw (alrdy had a crash trying to see my AC2 trophies)
Great App!!!
PS3 all the way great app and will be posting any bugs.
Psn: Rammstein874
Dude, where is you donation button this is soooo F-ing handy no more slow XMB to view your T-phies.
This seems to be very cool but I can't seem to get it working. I'm on Chucky's GTX (WM 6.5.x ROM). The app quits after a few seconds and it says that I Need NETCFv35.Messages.EN.cab.
Where do I get that? Isn't it the same thing as the NETCF v35?
The program doesn't create a shortcut nor does it have an icon? Any fix for this?
Thanks a lot.
finally an app for PS3 Trophies on Windows Mobile.
got paypal ?
BTW any warhawk / RDD players in here ?
Hey guys, I'm glad you like it. There will be an update tomorrow. Hopefully with Icon/Shortcut for good.
So far you can use Sergios Mod - that is the same like my app but with icon.
As far as this 3.5 Message is concerned, all you would gain from installing it is a better error-message - so don't. The update will fix a couple of crashs and a few games that had issues with information display.
I will also add a donate-button to the first post later. Of course, ypu don't have to donate.
Great app! ..though upon installing this app on my HD2 i get no program shortcut. where am I supposed to launch it from?
As i wrote in the first post, there is no shortcut yet. Download Sergios Mod, which adds a shortcut. I hope to have mine in in tomorrows version.
does ur app work for the TP2? i downloaded ur app but when i go into it whats shown is just a sample.....
SAMPLE is the predefined PSN-User. Just go to settings and set the PSN-ID to your ID and it should download your data.
Hi guys, I know i promised an update for today but currently i am having weird connection problems, so i will delay the update to tomorrow.
Right now, more games show without error. No game should ever crash the app but throw an error in the worst case. Some other crash-issues have been fixed and in the case that avatars could not be loaded on the first try, the app will try again later...
looking good!!
I am assuming the app is not able to download all of your friends because it does not sign into the playstation network?
If you would like I will post a link to this thread on my playstation id app on facebook... currently I have 20,000 users and growing!
Unfortunately I will be getting the htc evo friday so I will not be able to play around with this app after then.
You are right, the app does not sign into the PSN. I really did not want to have anyone use his PSN-password, since most of us have credit card info in there and even though i would of course not misuse your data, putting your password anywhere else but into the PSN always feels risky. So it will not automatically fetch your friends. You can however add them manually.
Feel free to post about the app on facebook.
The new version works well for me and will definately be posted today.
will do! thanks!!
are you going to get on the android side of things?!
it would be cool to see if your friends were online or if they are playing a game!!
I struggle with these scenario's with my app on facebook. I wish playstation would code their site differently!
keep up the good work
Unfortunately i have no Android-device so i can't build an app for it.
I would definately love to show the Online-Status and the Comment of everyone, but since SONY does not have an API it is really difficult to get any data anyway.
New version is out. Please check the first post for the download.
Enjoying new release.
Thanks
I am in the process of designing mockups for an App I would like to see on Windows Phone 7. I am a designer, and so I lack the technical programming knowledge to actually make it into a full App, so I am putting the idea out there, in case anyone is interested.
I posted the idea in the "I need this App" competition, but it is only now I have some UI designs done for it. The App starts in a panorama, but there will also be a need for pivot pages and single pages, which I have sketched on paper, but will be mocking up over time.
When you see the App, you will know why I put the call out to UK and specifically London developers...

If the app is made and is successful, I am sure it could be adapted by others for other cities around the world.

Bloody hell, that's awesome. But is all those traffic APIs really available to 3rd party developers?
The underground API's are pretty sound not sure about the Bus services, but if they were i would deffo pay £5 or so for this app
The mockup does not go into enough detail in showing what the page displays when you tap on the status update, or one of the route tiles.
The Bus APIs seem to provide, the route and the geo-locations of the bus stops. I am not sure if every route and every station is on the feed right now, but these feeds will only increase over time.
I am detailing the makeup and the feed xml node that applies to it, on paper right now. I know what the app should do, in version one, and what other bits of coded is needed, I just have no idea what that code is, or how to do it!!!!
If anyone is interested in helping as coders and UI helpers, tweet, email me, or get in touch via my website. If the app works out, we can charge a small fee for the app and try to submit it. UK will be getting these phones before the USA I believe, in October rather than November, so its a great chance to get noticed!
Someone please help him! this looks awesome, cant wait to see more beautiful WP7 apps, gone are the days of ugly WM6.5 apps
I have now got someone on board who is trying to work on the data side of things. I still need a silverlight programmer, especially those who have experience making custom controls, and has experience with animation and visual states.
I just found a video to such a tube application on youtube (as a new user I'm not able to post links but search for "Windows Phone 7 London Tube application").
But your concept looks much better, so please keep on.

The app currently doing the rounds on youtube is good, but the design of the app posted in this thread is better; matches the design philosophy of WP7 better.
This is just a quick video showing how I may animate the tiles for the app...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIpcOgjN28I
Very nice! Have you found the help you need yet? Will the app be able to give you toast notifications of line closures etc?
I am a Silverlight interaction designer and developer with experience working in Windows Phone 7. I'd be very interested in helping you out with this project. With your designs and somebody surfacing the correct data, I think I could help you pull it all together.
Send me a PM if you're interested in working together
Very nice! I think the animation speed of the route tiles need to be faster. Too much of a pause. As a londoner I can't wait for this. Can you also add have many minutes to tube train arriving at platform as in the other London Tube app?
Fantastic idea for the app, I too will buy this if ever sold.
BTW is their an API from the TFL for buses and their arrival times?
Hows this app going? Im off to london in afew weeks and would love to give this a try.
That application is a great idea for London users.
If it possible to create it for all of the UK?
I also love the design
FYI for people looking immediately, there is a nice lil free app called 'tube companion' released in the marketplace now.
Line Status – Live updates of the status of each of the tube lines.
Station lookup – Lookup every station on the London Underground network.
Live Departure Boards – Display the live departure boards for certain tube station/tube line pairings.
Stations Near Me – Shows the ten nearest stations to the user within a 10 mile radius,
Weekend Closure – Displays the planned disruptions to the tube lines/stations for the forthcoming weekend.
Push Notifications – Push notifications can be enabled to alert users of problems with each of the tube lines.
Here's the only video I could find (pre-RTM), but the app is out V1.0.0.0 in Zune.

Hi,
I'm of the developers of the London Travel app. A free version went live yesterday on the marketplace (London Travel). It displays the line statuses and sends notifications.
We're now working on the paid version.

Have just installed it and all I can say is great work guys!
The design is spot on and executed amazingly well, a lot better than dare I say most of the apps around at the moment. It runs great as well.
Can't wait to see the full version with Journey Planner and Nearby Stations etc, hint hint
Thanks for the nice comments!
Yesterday was the first time i could see the app running on a real device, so hopefully I can make improvements for the full app (and an udpate for the free).
Hello,
The app is composed of 3 main screens:
1 panorama containing
- "my daily" : the incoming episodes. with buttons to mark episodes as acquired / watched. orange is for "aired" blue is for "acquired"
- "manager" : to manage favorite shows / add shows to favorites
- What's new : a random selection of the last updated shows.
Here are a few screen caps :

it shows the number of episodes aired since the last launch of the app

This app has been released in french, english and spanish, german should come soon
Data about episodes and shows are available thanks to tvDb.
V1.3 :
- language bug fixed, you can now look for a show in your native language (if supported by tvdb)
- show posters can now be saved to your picture library (they make excellent lock screens)
- diverse other improvements

Hey man, looks pretty good.
One thing that popped out at me: The refresh/sync button in the first set of screen shots. It looks like it will be a bit hard to hit (I've got fat fingers ). For an end users point of view it would probably be better in the application bar (although it may look a bit lonely there).
just my twocents
hello
Thanks for your answer !
it's a good suggestion, we will take care of this tonight
ps: video is (finally) working
youtube tag doesn't work?
Looks good. I really like the fact you get info on every episode of the show. It would be cool if would add reminders and live tile notifications of upcoming episodes. If that was added I'd pay $1.99 and if not $.99.
It is a nice app either way, but it would be a hard sell for more than 2 bucks.
Sent from my SGH-T849 using XDA App
I had one of these types of apps in progress before I just gave up on it due to not really feeling like finishing it. One idea that I wanted to integrate into mine, but never found out if it was possible was something like a calendar sync. You hit the button and bam, it will add it to your calendar to remind you which night a certain show might be premiering or returning to TV.
thanks yor your answers,
for the calendar, we wanted to do so, but no api is available in WP7, the only possibility was for us to access the users gmail account and send reminders in.
But it implied storing personal connection data, and we don't like that.
If new apis are available in new wp7 updates we will probably check it out
for the live tile, I think it will be in a V2
Looking good. Was actually looking for an app like this. I assume it will only show the original airdates in the country of origin? Would it somehow be possible to let the user add a custom day of week, so they can check what shows are on that day?
Hello
We originally wanted to convert airtime to the users timezone, but we don't have the "original timezone' information on tvdb.
For your other question : I didn't really understand what you mean.
(or maybe?) : you would like to see what airs on tuesdays for example?
or for a specific date?
Let's say I've added Big Bang Theory to my watch list. In the UK this show is on a Wednesday, so I'd assign that day to this show. Someone else might be watching the repeat on Fridays, so they pick that day instead.
Then somewhere in the app, I could check what's on each day of the week and if I looked on Wednesday it would list Big Bang Theory and any other shows I've flagged for that day.
It wouldn't have to have to say what episode or anything (no dates or times either), just that the show is on. Like a reminder and personalized TV guide.
I think it would be a great feature considering the fact that most shows air on different days around the world.
Appologies if this is already covered in the app, I didn't see it in the screenshots or video though.
Protip: Please add a notice in the app saying something along the lines of "All data provided by TheTVDB.com" and "if you enjoy our services and can afford it, please show us by donating" linking to our Donate page.
Also be advised there will be an official TheTVDB client in the future, with interactive functionality - i.e. ratings, personalized recommendations and so on. You've done some good work here though. If there are any API calls you feel could be optimized for mobile, do let me know (some have already been re-written specifically for WP7, although they are still in private testing).
Hello,
there is already the "about" section containing informations and links to tvdb. (I contacted Scott about this app)
News :
we added the live tile functionality!
If a new episode airs, the live tile will be updated.

As for price, most might disagree with me.. But I do value the effort developers put towards their apps, and I am not afraid to go as far as $4-5 depending how fast updates and the application works. It's a service to us and an income to you ;-) Hopefully lol.
Hello,
We are currently tweaking the app to make it as fast as it gets and once it's done, it will be sent for validation to microsoft.
thanks for your replies.

Hello fellow windows developer.
I guess I'm not a frequent poster but I need your help!
I need your feedback on my latest Windows 8 app: Kickstarter Browser. The thing is, I just got it release just to have a initial release but I need feedback on it. It's easy to feel satisfied with your app because you are familiar with it. I do have a general idea where I want to go with the app (adding twitter share, add favorites) but as far as GUI I'm not really sure. So any critic is welcome to just post here, perhaps even screenshots if there is anything specific you want to point out. If you have good things to say you can also review it windows 8 store. (Please do not post reviews/low stars saying it's bad, remember this is just my first release and I will improve it over the coming months using your feedback and then you can give a proper review ) If you give me feedback which I'll use to improve the app I will, if you want, add you to a thank you list in the App description.
As far as adding, login/pledging from the apps etc. there are no official Kickstarter API and the API I'm using is Very restricted.
Anyway, please give me feedback and I will be very thankful.

hmm, well I tried to install your app but the MS store is insisting that I am not connected to the internet, it worked fine 2 days ago on the same connection and I am clearly on the internet right now. I'll have to takes its suggestion of trying again later.
Picture looks alright but I cant see myself using the app if I'm honest, I just dont browse kickstarter. If I can get it to download I will pop back with something more useful to you

Thank you for trying and thank you for giving me you 2 cents on the screenshot, hopefully you will be able to download it soon. I am at hard work to bring another release of this app within two-three weeks, but I do hope some more people would give me their opinions.
Update
I've made an update for this app. Though I have not received a single piece of feedback.
This time I bring the ability to see videos in the app and to search through descriptions of projects to find specific words (This is something the normal kickstarter.com website cannot do). I also updated to GUI to look much better and fixed bugs, you can find the app update here:
Please download, try it and give me some feedback.
Thanks.
Nice! Just gonna give some friendly feedback here: first, it would be nice to have the spotlight words in the top-left clickable, so I could select technology or whatever. Second, the tiles for each result could use a little more modern. By this I mean separate each tile a little, get rid of the rounded effect, and maybe make the background for each tile the project picture. Other than that, maybe some more background colors on the app would help. But really, nice work!
Thanks

Wow, thank you. It was very observant of you to notice the kind of "Rounded effect". I have taken your advises into consideration for my next release. I will be releasing a Halloween update within the next few days and will post here when it is certified and live. Thank you SO MUCH. You are the first to give me some suggestions, and I've asked for help on quite a few forums.
The next update will have many new features I hope you all will enjoy.
Update!
Well, you could say I really buckled up last night and started my code, because here is the halloween update!
I focused on customization and user experience this time. The change log follows:
-Changes in version 1.2.0-
Big GUI update
Multitask support added (view video while using other apps)
Added tool tips
Added FAQ to project description
Significantly improved search times when searching through descriptions (by 20 percent)
Search now list projects as they are found (not when search is done)
Added settings for spotlight
- It's now possible to add/remove and enable/disable individual spotlight categories (found under settings)
Added the possibility to to favorite projects
Added favorite page (accessed by swiping down from top or right click the top of the screen)
Removed crash bug when no internet connection
Anyway I hope you all will download it and try it (and tell me what you think). I will be taking a one week break from coding Kickstarter Browser to recharge my batteries and get inspired to do some more work.
Update
I hate how it feels like I'm spamming/bumping my own thread but I just want to keep you guys updated and hopefully get more feedback from you guys!
So I've just got the post-Halloween update certified. Change log:
Revamped start screen
Added playback controls (Play, stop, mute, video time bar)
Added video full screen playback
Added sorting projects in search
Added backgrounds
Added browsing categories in search screen/start screen
Squashed bugs
So this is the first update based on feedback from users and feedback I've asked for from various forums. One point of feedback was really important. The user felt that when you first start the app you are welcomed with a screen with a huge gap in the middle. So I made the middle part dedicated for browsing through categories and all the searching should be done through the search screen. Another user told me that the app doesn't bring anything new to the table in terms of searching and finding, so I added more search options. The third big feedback I got was that the app was boring, colorless and not nice to look at, so I reworked the layouts and made it possible for the user to change background color/add background image. The last feedback I did take into consideration for this update was that the search screen was a bit confusing and that the video playback lacked features, so I rearranged the search screen a bit and added video playback features (it now has play, stop, mute, full screen and a timeline)
So you see, I use the feedback I get to make the app better, please keep it coming and I will possibly implement it.
Thanks
Live tile update
I guess you all know what this post mean by now.
I've just release update 1.2.5. Inspired by another app this update brings the ability to create live tiles of projects to have them on the system's start menu screen and keep track of projects. Change log:
Added more backgrounds
Added ability to create live tiles of projects
Added all subcategories to browsing
Refined browsing
Fixed bugs
Added Help/FAQ to top appbar
Moved settings to top appbar
Thanks
This is the last update this year. Well, it's a few updates since I last posted but I thought I might as well post now
-Changes in version 1.2.7-
Revamped most pages for a more unified look
Fixed FAQ/Description load bug due to changes of kickstarter.com
Removed "find atleast xx projects" slider
-Changes in version 1.2.6-
Separated browse and search, added browse screen
Made search faster
Fixed bug where background color wouldn't load
Many minor bug fixes and clean up code

Special delivery! As we head into the busiest time of year, Android is becoming even more helpful with new features that make it a joy to create, capture, relive, and share holiday memories — all while strengthening security and personalization. Let’s take a look at what’s new.
Keep your family on track this season with Family Bell
Choose which devices you’d like to hear your reminders on in settings
Family Bell helps you and your family stay on track with your daily schedules, wherever you may be. Whether you set up Family Bell on your Android phone, home speaker or smart display, bells and notifications will alert you and your family when it's time for important moments throughout the day — helping you get out the door in the morning, pick up your kids from sports practice or get to bed on schedule. Family members will also be able to set bells on their own devices so they can stay on top of their individual goals too.
For the holidays, suggested bells for new activities include watering a tree, a family movie night or volunteering to support a local cause. Family Bell is always easy to edit, manage and customize from your selected device.
Get more out of your favorite Google apps with widgets
Home screen displaying a photo of a mother and child from the Google Photos People and Pets widget
Widgets make it easier to view the content and information from your favorite Google apps on your Home screen — and we’ve got three new widgets for you to enjoy this holiday season:
Keep that holiday reading within easy reach, access your full library of books and even keep track of your audiobook progress with the new Google Play Books widget.
Enjoy your favorite holiday tunes with the new YouTube Music widget — it puts playback controls and recently played tracks right on your Home screen.
Feel closer to your family, friends, and favorite furballs. Starting to roll out next week, the new Google Photos People & Pets widget puts your family on your Home screen. Simply select a few faces and an appropriate frame, then the widget will do the rest, decorating your Home screen with your nearest and dearest.
Relive festive memories
Look back on great memories with Google Photos.
This week we’re rolling out new Memories in Google Photos that help you look back on the moments you celebrate. These Memories appear in your photo grid and feature a curated selection of photos and videos from holidays like New Year’s Eve or Halloween, to important milestones like birthdays and graduations. And because everyone has their own special traditions, specific controls allow you to rename, personalize, correct or even remove these Memories from your photo grid.
The best of Android, on the roadWhether you're driving home for the holidays or simply going to the store for some last-minute groceries, a suite of updates enhances just how helpful Android can be on the road.
Reply to messages in the car with a tap
You can now set Android Auto to launch automatically when you connect your Android phone to your compatible car to stay connected on every drive. And once you’re on the road, Android Auto helps you get things done so you can stay focused on the road. With smart reply options coming soon, you can respond to a text message more easily with the Google Assistant on Android Auto — simply tap to respond or create a custom message. And you can listen to your favorite music with a single tap of the new always-on play button, right on the Home screen. Coming soon, you’ll be able to use your voice to search for music faster in your media apps on Android Auto. Just tap the new search icon and say your favorite artist or song for easy listening.
Use your phone as a car key
We also continue to introduce new ways to bring your phone and car closer together. Starting today, you can use your Android phone to lock, unlock and even start your compatible car. Digital car key is now available in select countries on Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy S21 for compatible BMW cars.
App permissions get a privacy boost
Get notified when app permissions are removed
Remember that mobile game you downloaded a few months ago? Probably not. With permissions auto-reset on Android, your device will automatically turn off runtime permissions—which allow apps to access data or take actions on your behalf—for downloaded apps you haven’t used in a while. You can always turn permissions back on anytime you like, either by opening the app again or through the settings menu. Starting next month, this feature expands support to billions more devices with Google Play services that run Android 6.0 or higher.
Share the love with new Emoji Kitchen combinations
Find the right combination that says how you really feel
Sometimes those end-of-year messages can have you lost for words—and one emoji doesn't always tell the full story. Emoji Kitchen lets you combine emoji into stickers to share with your friends, family, and loved ones. Celebrate the holidays by sharing your favorite emoji in a beautifully wrapped gift box . Or if you’re more of a dog person, make sure people know it with an all-new collection of furry friends . With thousands of new additions, Emoji Kitchen is the gift that keeps on giving and a great way to spread a little holiday cheer. The latest stickers are rolling out to Gboard Beta users starting today and will be available to all Gboard users in the coming weeks.
We can't wait for you to try out these new features while you celebrate the holidays. Learn more about each at Android.com.
