i couldnt find much info on ebay for how much it's worth??
the samsung taylor is what they gave out as pre-release phones for developers. it's pretty much a limited edition phone which you won't ever see hit the shelves. If you've got one, you could probably put it up on ebay for $500, and see if you get many bids on it. It's just that given there are very few of those phones around, you might not get many trying to buy it either.
in saying that though, i know quite a few people who want phones with physical 3-pair keys (back/start/search). So you might get a good deal if you spread the word.
make sure it doesn't have a Microsoft asset tag under the battery, I'd be careful there.
Thats an interesting gift to be given.
I would personally keep it as they are quite unique.

I have never seen another android phone attract so many.....moaners!
Some of the complaints I read about are just laughable I've a feeling this is a lot of peoples first android device.
Is there any way xda can hide the onex page from google? I've had a lot of phones near to launch but never experienced such an influx of whining, give it me now, I deserve it +?%$#@ (insert word of choice on the left)
Lol you have a good point

You obviously haven't been over to the Galaxy 10.1 forum.
although i totally get your point, and i must say a lot of moaners here (which included me for a while but now a happy customer) ain't you kinda doing the same thing now by moaning about the moaners?
just ignore it fella and let them have their moan..no point in moaning about people who complaint about there phones.
useless thread is useless

Saw this infographic this morning by http://www.firmex.com on the future of RIM and found it to be pretty interesting/relevant to this forum. Any opinions on who you might think acquire them (if anyone at all)? It would be pretty awesome to get enterprise security added to Sammy phones (however unlikely that may be).

Looking for the relevance part....maybe in the general Android forum?
I think RIM will probably move to a services oriented company.

Lol it's relevant in the sense that if Sammy picks up RIM it would impact the nature of Samsung devices. This applies to all the manufacturers but I personally own a GNEx so this is where i posted it
Hi everyone, hope you are doing alright.
I changed my HOX screen today, and after testing it, the backlight did not work. I researched and it looks like it's a 220 coil issue according to this and a thread in another forum.

Now my questions are, I'm a person with basic soldiering skills. I have soldiered headsets and VCR"s and that type of thing before. Is it that hard to replace the coil?
Also, I can't find them except on Alibaba which takes a month to deliver. and I need the phone soon. Does anyone have one that I can pay for in anyway that they prefer? ( Bitcoin, Paypal, Giftcard, etc. ).
It's just frustrating for me, and I hope I can find someone to help me out.
Thanks in advance =)
Hi @Aidin+,
You'd probably get more luck posting this in the general hardware hacking forum --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/hardware-hacking/hardware
Hey guys, I was looking into getting myself an Oculus Rift but figured the wait is just too long since it seems the final product wouldn't be available till 2015. So in my search I came across this http://www.durovis.com/index.html/
According to this you can place your phone as the actual screen and a good VR experience coupled with their Apps on the play store. And best of all its about 50euros with international shipping and for those who maybe interested its not that hard to DIY. If anyone has tried please share your experience as there aren't that many reviews on it. I might get it soon
I love the fact that all the important components are already built into the phone such as the gyroscope and the display itself. Let me know what you guys think.

This is really awesome and at the price true VFM. Though the following link roadtovr has lot of DIY to create similar lens..

Used to be I could come on here, easily pick a device, go to the ROMs subforum and voila, I found what I was looking for. Then the device search got moved to somewhere that made very little sense... Now it seems every device just has one forum and good luck finding your ****.
So, dear xda Team, what made you think this garbage here was a good idea? Did you hire a designer away from Google or Facebook? Did you think "Geez, these people are dumb enough to buy the same crap from phone makers every other year, let's see how convoluted we can make our own site and have them take it anyway?"
In short, maybe I'm just getting old but god damn is this site painful to use...

Did you try using filters on new flat forums?
