Hello,
I have just went throught the procedure of unrooting my phone because it keeps rebooting.....there was a few errors but i got confimation at the end that it was flashed successfully.
But i was just wondering if the Recovery option should still be showing when i hold volume down and power button?
If i press recovery i get a black screen with red triangle......is this the way it should be?
Thanks for any replies.
Yea that is the stock recovery screen.

Hi All
I have a second HTC Desire which does not boot. It goes into recovery and the volume keys do not work for me to navigate in recovery. I have tried rebooting and everything. Is there any way I can restore and get back into the phone? I think it has HBOOT 0.75.
Any ideas?
No, your Desire is not bricked.
Try a RUU: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
What version do I download? Also, what is the process for doing a RUU
Thanks in advance
I tried loading the below and still no luck:
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.15.405.4_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4. 05.00.11_release_122704.exe
Any ideas anyone?
Did the RUU apply correctly? Did you receive any error messages?
Or do you mean you still can't navigate in recovery?

RUU applied correctly, no errors. When I switch phone on, the phone boots into recovery and I cant navigate from there with volume buttons. Is it worth trying the latest RUU and would this effect my ability to root my phone later?
Anyone????
Is your down key stuck in?
The Desire should not boot straight into recovery, it goes to HBOOT first where you have to select recovery.
Remove the battery, put it back then tell us exactly what you press, and what the phone does in response.
I switched the phone off, took out battery and then put battery back in. Powered phone. The phone boots to a white screen whiich lists HBOOT number 0.75 and lists FASTBOOT, BOOTLOADER, REBOOT, REBOOT BOOTLOADER & POWER DOWN. I cant navigate with he volume buttons so I cant progress at all.
I did the latest RUU last week and now I'm back on bootloader 0.80 and had no problem rooting it.
So this should not be the point
But I don't know if it can solve your problem.

Did you try with optical joystick? If it doesn't work, remove the back cover of your phone, and try to look at the volume controls if nothing blocks the contactors, or if you have a full body protector like Zagg's invisible shield, look if it doesn't stick the volume controlers, thus preventing them to make contact.
Volume buttons dont stick and I cant navigate with the optical track pad either. I think it may be a software rather than a hardware issue. Not sure what though?
Any other suggestions?

Hey all,
Alright well I seem to have a dead rom, so I can get into the rooted bootloader screen by pressing down on the volume and power. From there recovery get shows the HTC Startup screen with a blackbox on top of it. That is it.
What do I do to get this phone working again?!
I think I got it using pb99img.zip and then rerooting it

Hi i recently rooted my dhd and flashed a custom rom called Leedroid 3.0.2, It flashed successfully and was working great. I used CWR to flash a few tweaks and restarted and it was working fine. As soon as i flashed to change the dialler i got stuck in a loop. The phone keeps restarting at the end of the animation. It doesn't go to any sort of menu at all. I'm sure re-flashing everything would fix it but how can i do that when it's stuck at the animation screen? I've tried holding the power button and volume - button to see if that works but no luck. The phone is also S-OFF.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
You need to take out the battery, and put it back. Then you hold volume down, while pressing power button.
You will then get into recovery, and you can restore or flash Rom from SD.
Good luck

Hi guys, I used RSD lite to flash 2.3.3 Orange GB
But then i found that my camera was not working and there was problem in network reception. So then installed the stock rom 2.2 for India.
So then when installation was complete after flashing it to the stock rom, i plugged out my phone as the lock screen was there on the phone but there ws still some processing going on in RSD lite, although it showed that the process was done 100%.
Then all of sudden phone restarted, Then there was a message on black screen, " Cannot load boot rom, low battery. i don't remember the actual words of the message.
The i charged the phone and then its stuck at the android logo. it does pass the motorola logo but get stuck at the android logo.
What should i do?
P.S. The power button and volume buttons are not showing me the exclamatory sign above android when press them or both the volume buttons.
Please Help.
