wifi problems

Hi chaps - forgive my inexperience ! I have gone to WM6 and seem to be having wifi 'dropping connection' issues - it seems to happen when the unit sleeps - when I reawaken its connection is lost and the wifi icon in the settings / connections has GONE and I have to restart. I'm also running 'Easy wifi Radar' and it comes up with an error: Exception code oxeo6d7363 address oxo3f91e7c (I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem) Any advice would be much appreciated. Solution..
Reinstall the ROM or modifed ROM... I think that a solution..

Thanks Arvani - you guys will have to forgive my ignorance but, after doing a search, why are there all these variations of ROM and debates and polls about which is the most stable etc ? Why should the WM6 I downloaded from the HTC site yesterday not be the best for an HTC device and why are there problems with it - again please forgive my naivety. Best Roger

How i fixed my facebook for htc connection problem

Hello everyone, i hope this works for you too, first of all sorry for my english
My Problem was that i always get connection error in facebook for htc, what i did was:
1º - go to your facebook page -> Account -> Application settings
2º - delete "HTC Sense" and "Facebook For HTC"
after that i added facebook for htc acount in my phone, and everything was working again.
Tested in LeeDrOiD Mod V1.6, and Official Froyo HTC Sense 1.0c

i tried do that .. i tried everything... but today morning it just start working.
i think htc and facebook solve the problems =)

Its not you who fixed that mate, FB or HTC sorted their servers\privs\wtv problems they had...

Yes maybe, but i was with leedroid and wasn't working, flashed 1.0c official, still connection error, after deleted the connection in facebook applications page, started working immediately on both Roms.

they fixed it overnight so if you tried yesterday in the morning, it wouldn't work. but now every rom should be working, as it was a htc/fb issue.

[Q] Problems with the automatic switch Wlan/3G

Hi,
i have on my HTC Desire the Problem that if i am longer logged in a WLAN network, the automatically switch from Wlan into the 3G network is not working when i leave the WLAN.
I have to connect into the "Flightmode" and back that the Desire switch to 3G.
My Desire is rootet and i have this problem with all ROMs i testet (Redux, GingerVillain, LeeDroid, MIUI).
Does anyone have a solution for me?

i had a similar problem on stock 2.1...my problem was my APN settings (i had a proxy listed and once i removed it, my problem was solved)

I have no entry for the proxy in my APN. :-(
Also i reseted my APN Settings to default - it seems that this is not the problem?!

see if you can find the APN settings for your specific carrier on the internet to check they are correct...other than that, i have no idea, sorry

Yes, i double checked the APN details...
Thank you for your help... Hopefully the problem will be gone if HTC release an offical 2.3 Gingerbread ROM and the developers here can use this one?!

[Q] Nimbuzz & HTC Wildfire??

Hi all
I have HTC Wildfire , with CyanogenMod7 7.0.03
I Installed Nimbuzz from the market, when i try to sign in it says:
(login error
Internet connection is unavailable . please check your settings and try again)
although the internet is working fine and other apps connect without any problems
this problem was happening on official rom also.
any ideas??

well nimbuzz has that issue...try "ebuddy" from the market ...its free and much lighter than nimbuzz....it also supports fb chat, and al the popular ims....

[A] MIUI MARANGE 2.6.8 Wlan Problem

Hi to everyone! Installing this beautiful ROM (it has happen only in this version) I had a lot of problem; one of this is that is the "Wlan turning on"!!!!
In few words, the Wlan doesn't start; the switch became "I" for only a second and come back to"0"; in the mean time, nothing happen!!!! (Only the screen that freeze to "Wlan turning on" white screen).
I tried a lot of installation configuration and I solved NOT Installing the Dictionary Patch....I deduced it by myself. (For me no Dhcp or Adhoc needed.... those hadn't solved my problem during my tests)

You're right!
Installing the "dictionary patch" the system go out of memory; I've solved avoiding to install it, but the real solution at the moment seems to be the Stock Hboot!
