Hello everyone, I have a situation atm with the 4g on my evo . Just like a week ago I flashed my first Rom - myns 2.2 with kings 11. Then like a couple days later I flashed the pri to 1. 77 and baseband to.09 because they were outdated. All was good even 4g worked for a good while until today. I restart the phone and it connects but after a min or so it turns off, than I try to reconnect but it fails.
Did anyone else have this problem? And anyone that did find a solution?

i recommend going back to the original PRI and NV. i updated to the latest and my 4G wouldnt connect, i flashed back and all is good
Will there be a problem when installing an older version of the pri? Because I had 1.40 before and now I have 1.77

nah.. theres a post in hacking & dev that lists all the PRI and radios, i used that.. you might just wanna go under settings. update profile and PRL. that might do the trick.. i reverted back to 1.34 from 1.70 because of download speeds.

if this doesnt work for you, try using the settings, not the toggle switch.
another tip is to revert back to the stock rom you did a nand backup on, and then reflash the zip file again to full the 4g along with the rsa certs, just so you dont lose them. but remember mostly sense-based custom roms are 4g capable...so far

Hello!
I was trying to make a call on my cell phone today and it wouldn't go through. Ever since that happened it can't find signal anywhere. I've tried rebooting and restoring an older nandroid backup. I'm running SkyRaider 2.5.2 with the 2.15 radio. Should I try to downgrade the radio?

Edit: It is now working. I just let it sit for a long time in the same spot and it finally picked up service somehow. Weird. Mods please delete. Sorry for being an idiot.

If you haven't already done it, it's always a good idea to dial *228 and follow the directions when you flash a new ROM or radio.

I have had the same problem where it randomly drops the signal. It started when I got skyraider 2.5.2 only real problem I've found.

I cannot connect to WiFi. It just keeps cycling through connecting, scanning, disconnected. I tried doing a full wipe and reflashing the Rom but its still doing the same thing. I'm running the newest version of virus's kingdom rom, I believe it is version 1.03. I was running the Rom for 3 days with WiFi running fine, so I know its not the Rom or the Rom download. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does that help?
I haven't seen any complaints with that kernel causing WiFi problems, but try flashing a different kernel to see if it rectifies the problem.

I know this may sound like a stupid question, but have you confirmed that there actually is a Wifi signal where you're checking? And that other devices can connect to it?

BUMP - same thing has happened to me on a different rom! tried several things also, wiping, resoring nands, changing kernel, updated radios even, OP did you get this sorted yet?? whats the fix
it's not the phone. it is the user. restart your wireless router. also change your encryption and see if that works. btw, I WIN!

Flashed Kings alliance rom r6 & only show 1x all the time on notification bar. Updated radios to see if that would fix it. Still no 3g. Updated prl & profile. Still no. Flashed newer version of kings alliance r6.2. Still only show 1x. Wifi works & so does 4g. Any ideas on what to try next?

I wouldn't go on a radio/pri flashing spree BUT that's just me.
Try to flash another ROM such as Sprint Lovers 2.2
(don't forget to wipe factory settings in recovery and do the usual Nandroid if you plan on coming back to Kings Alliance Rom)

If you don't get 3G on that rom then you properly messed around and flashed an outdated radio or PRI............if that doesn't work then unroot the SOB and take it to the Sprint store, let them deal with it...hahahaha....GOOD LUCK bud!

If it says anything other than CDMA-EvDo rev. A you may have a borked 3G...but you can also try this, it has worked for a lot of people:

ive had the same issue with the kings rom a little bit in certain parts of town.. i dont know why it happens. but for the most part my 3g works all the time

Great news! Believe me, I know how frustrating it is when the 3G/Evdo/1X really does mean 1X! Glad it wasn't hardware related!
Hi...I got my new evo 3d yesterday and I'm giving my previously rooted EVO 4g to my girl...however I had my number switched to the 3d by updating my profile and since the EVO was rooted running mynwarm it doesn't have the option to run a profile update so now u can't get the EVO to make calls or connect to the mobile network. Does any1 know what I can do to run an update profile?? Plz help I'm bout to go nuts lol

Flash a sense rom. Then you can update profile.
I recommend fresh rom
Profile and PRL updates must be done on a Sense ROM. I recommend running a nandroid backup and then flashing any Sense ROM. Or you can just do a full wipe since you're handing the phone over to someone else. Load a fresh new ROM without any data or cache information.
But isn't nun a sense rim??

Im bumping this because I have a similar problem, I unrooted my old EVO and cant get it to activate because I get no service at all. When i go to settings and about phone the MEID IMSI and anything else with numbers is all 0. WTH happened?
Did you buy the Phone like thatvor was it originally yours?
All zeros means somehow some way someone messed with it.
Unrooting does not touch the nvram/radio portion of the phone
This phone always been mine it was perfectly fine before my cousin called sprint. I believe he was trying to activate it before I changed it back to sense because it was on CM7.
I fixed my problem and it might help u too..myn is a sense ROM but doesn't have the option to run a profile update..I found a link to the stock EVO ROM downloaded to my comp then put it on the SD of the EVO..I went into recovery
Flashed the ROM and did the update...her phone (EVO) now has her previous tmobile number on it that I ported in and is working fine..it should work for u too...good luck

I was running one of the new kings 3.0 roms and wasn't having any problems. i then accidently repartitioned my sd card losing everything that was on it. I went ahead and flashed Synergy RC2-Godmode and now I have no data/3g. I tried to ##786# but it just hung when it said it was committing changs. I then tried to ##3282# and reset that way...This time it worked and even after rebooting the phone and going through hands free activation it either gives me error code 1012: can't connect, or it hangs on contacting network. I even flashed an older 2.2 rom and tried doing hands free activation and it is hanging.
PLEASE HELP!!!
BTW, I couldn't update profile or PRL either. Error code 1012. Is the Sprint server down or am I screwed!?
I think u need to contact sprint to have your phone reprovisioned. Just have them check everything on their end.

Flash a STOCK rooted sprint rom, then call sprint. I don't believe you can do activations from a sense 3.0 rom yet.

I handsfree activated a evo4g running Synergy rc2 this past Friday but I also had noted once before on a Sat night/Sun morn that Sprint's system does "routine maintenance".
Fixed it. Went on stock 2.2 and had to activate phone. Then I had data. Back on synergy god mode now. Still can't update profile or prl. Any way to do this manually?
