Hey all,
Here is the situation:
I recently purchased a German (Im not German) Tmobile htc desire. Its not locked, as I tried and used my own carrier without a problem.
I was able to load leeDroid 2.2e on it and it works, but I still have that rotating pink circle at boot and I really want to try the stock ROM.
I tried the goldcard (the Goldcard software and also the HEX) method with stock RUU, but got the Error 131 and it didnt work.
Is there any way to load the Stock Rom, to get rid of this branding and to try the stock ROM for a change?
Thx.
Device HBOOT info:
Bravo Unknown Ship S-ON
HBOT-0.75.0000
MICROP-051d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
RADIO-4.08.00.09
Before anyone asks, I read about 80 sites with different similar and different methods and couldnt get it to work, so, I did the search but still no go
You just need a T-Mobile RUU file, and you don't need to use your gold card either
EDIT: If you want to go back to stock but UNBRANDED then you'd need the latest WWE RUU and a working gold card - if you're getting errors about the CID then your gold card isn't working
I tried every Goldcard method that I can find but, like I said, Im willing to try again.
Is there any recoomendations to the best description of making a Goldcard, any links?
Thx.

Need to unroot my phone, since it Restarts randomly and needs the board replaced.
Please someone help!

One day I was trying to S-OFF this phone, but all I got was the ugly Joker splash screen, can this be the problem?
This phone has been rooted-unrooted-rerooted before without problems!
Thanks!!
Why not get the 2.10.405.2 or 2.29.405.2 RUUs? If they don't work either it might be because you have a branded handset

where are these RUUs hosted? Didn't find any direct links here on xda. EDIT:Found your thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=828519
And why aren't they in this thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
will try out and report.
the phone is for sure not branded, was preordere on amazon.de back in the good ol' days and is running Lee's ROM.

Check your build number, from there you can see if your phone is branded or not.
BTW: have you wiped everything during rom flashing?
for example,
I have (originally) : 1.19.161.5, and that is a vodafone UK branding.
I have to use : RUU_Bravo_Vodafone_UK_1.19.161.5_Radio_32.36.00.28 U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126338_signed.exe

Why not use the 2.33.161.2 RUU in ROM Development?

Thanks a lot Guys, that was easyier as I thought and saved me a lot of nerves.
I simply flashed 2.29.405.2 RUU and everything was fine!
I just dont unterstand why the stiky thread in the Development section is not being updated with these RUUs. It would have saved me many hours!
Because everyone goes to shipped-roms.com for their stock RUUs

No problem with that one.
If I am not mistaken :
It is just that the one you posted will update to Android 2.2 and H-Boot 0.93, while my post ís still 2.1 and H-Boot 0.80.
For comfort reason during rooting, I choose the 0.80.
But seeing as rooting on HBOOT 0.93 has NO issues at all it makes sense to use it
Hello
I got a GSM network HTC Desire and I would like to remove the rooting. It has HBOOT 0.93 and I got no idea how to get rid of the rooting. I used the search, but it does not help me....
I did not need a goldcard to root the Desire with unrevoked3, so I do not know if I need one know... I tried to install RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.09.405.8_Radio_32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20_release_140022_signed, but it tells me to get the right utility and gives me a 131 id error.
Could anyone please give me some advice?
Thx in advance.
Try a most recent RUU, this is the last
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Bra...9.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed.exe
If ur phone is branded, u will need a goldcard, or install the right ruu from ur operator if u can find it..search on the forum..
EDIT: Remember the RUU will erase all in ur phone..btw why u want unroot? u really need unroot?
I want to unroot it because I want to sell it and people do not buy if you tell them that the warranty is gone because of the rooting.
Btw, the linked update failed with same error, 131 id error.
Some info from the menu:
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.93.0001
MICROP-031d
RADIO-5.11.05.14
ROM is Oxygen 2.0 RC6 (Gingerbread ROM)
Error code 131=Customer ID Error.
You need a goldcard to run this RUU. Either do that, or choose the RUU corresponding to ur brand.
RUU_Bravo_Vodafone_UK_1.19.161.5_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126338_signed causes a 140 boot loader version error -.-

Error 140->You're trying to run a lower version than the one on your system now.
There is another thread on the same error with detailed instructions on the method for Vodaphone.. I'll see whether I can find it.
Just run the RUU Eddy mentioned

Thanks guys, finally unrooted.
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_Vodafone_UK_2.33.161.2_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_157522_signed worked for me, as the phone is from Vodafone, did I mention that before? If not, sorry...
Nevertheless, great support here! thx a lot.
Hi guys,
my mate had MIUI installed on his desire and asked me to flash stock rom on his phone.
I tried restoring the backup from clockworkmod, but ended up overwriting the backup with a new one. (i think). I deleted the files related to backup, formatted the SD, DATA and CACHE.
I also installed a new radio from 4 to 5. It has the following details on its HBOOT
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.80.0000
MICROP-031d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
RADIO-5.14.05.17

whenever I power on the phone, it boots into HBOOT and does nothing. I tried roms found on MoDaCo (update.zip) it wont flash because the signature doesnt match or returns this error
e:can't symlink /system/bin/dumpcrash
e:failure at line 5
what do I do?
any help would be much appreciated as Im completely stuck at HBoot screen.
nvm, i installed cyanogenmod and it works now.. time to downgrade to stock RUU
hey guys, the device is locked to Orange UK and I cannot install custom roms. but since I am stuck here, is there anyone who can help me out by giving me a link to original Orange RUU or OTA update.zip?
any help would be much appreciated.
thanks!

If you search on Orange RUU you'll understand why

Why not just get the HTC WWE RUU? Or would that make your sim not able to work?
I've tried installing WWE, it gives me some CID error.
cant find the orange RUU or orange update.zip anywhere
You wont find an Orange RUU anywhere, they have never been leaked.
To run the RUU, you need a Goldcard. There's a number of tutorials/threads on how to do this on here or modaco.

ok, I have an other orange sim locked desire. how do I clone the os to install it on to this one?
HTC bravo- t.mo uk
hboot 0.93.001
1. phone recovery corrupted[not amon ra or clockwork mod]
2. since hboot 0.93 older stock ruu wont work[1.15 and 1.21 dont work tried both]need a rom with a newer hboot
3. tried to rip .zip and renamed as pb99img but still didnt work. it wont update as it is an older version
4. does not boot into rom, stops at htc logo
5. no goldcard.
6. no HTC service centre, this country [freakin doesnt service outside home devices]
Is there any possible solution to recover the phone and make it functional?
Download RUU and create a Goldcard.
this ruu will not work because it is an older version. I require hboot 0.93 or higher. also cant create a goldcard as revskills has stopped making gold cards from cid..
Any other solution?
That MoDaCo tool works fine, and just get a stock WWE RUU such as this:
http://www.multiupload.com/LEJCW182AH
will surely try out and post back in some time
tried creating a goldcard with another device. got the cid , created goldcard image but get an error when patching.
"obj ref is not an obj" something like that. and it doesnt patch. any idea why is this happening. antivirus is disabled and htc sync is installed
ok so now i have a goldcard. used a different card-patched and successful. so now i tried to load pb99img.zip and it says
"CID incorrect"
update fail...what did i do wrong
oh man what the **** is their problem.
my desire is tmo uk spec..: but currently i have hboot 0.93 htc wwe 2.29 on it..corrupted and ****ed.
so i created goldcard and tried with wwe 2.29 again but it says cid error.
tried with tmo uk 1.21[latest] and it says bootloader error.
somebody please help me out here.
any help on this guys?
I need to send my phone back for warranty but I'm having trouble returning to stock.
I had a branded T-Mobile UK desire, I rooted it and it was running Redux v 1.1.1, alpharev s-off and amon recovery.
I have not created any goldcard and am unsure if this is necessary as some guides say so and others say just to flash the provider RUU.
I tried to run the tmobile uk ruus from here (both RUU_Bravo_TMO_UK_1.15.110.11_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4. 05.00.11_release_122755.exe and
RUU_Bravo_TMO_UK_1.21.110.4_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.0 6.00.02_2_release_127570_signed.exe) but I got "Error 140 bootloader version" after it runs - it also asks if I want to update the ROM version from 2.10.405.2 to 1.15.110.11 (I'm not sure if this is a problem and I need to downgrade?)
I then reflashed redux as it wasn't booting, I now notice that bootloader is showing:
Bravo Unknown ship s-on (though I still have alsharev s-off splashscreen)
hboot 0.75
Radio-4.05.00.11
Can someone advise me on how to return to stock from here please?
If you're now on that bootloader you should be able to run the RUU again and it might take. Use the 1.21 one - but bare in mind unless you have an AMOLED screen it will leave you with a black screen as the ROM doesn't support SLCD screens
Thanks,
I'm pretty sure my phone is not AMOLED (Can't see any sign of it on the box), is there a RUU I should run instead or any way of restoring functionality if I try this and the screen does go black?
EDIT: I tried to run the RUU and came up with the same error? Any advice?
I believe you get that error when hboot in ruu is older than the one you currently have. Check if there is a newer ruu.
If you are still s-off hboot couldn't have been reflashed. Weird...
Is it definitely a branded one? Try running them RUU's again.
Thanks, I think it's s-on, but for some reason the splash screen has stayed. I've downloaded the RUUs (for T-Mobile) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
It's definitely branded (or at least it used to be). I did use this unlocker tool as well, I'm not sure if that will have de-branded it stopping me from using the tmobile uk ruu (in which case do you know is there any way to rebrand before sending back for warranty?)
I think I might try to run a WWE RUU (RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed)
You'd need a gold card to use the stock WWE RUU
If you're on HBOOT 0.75 that's the very first HBOOT version, any ROM newer than that will work as the bootloader will be newer. No idea why it's not working but it's the issue with having a phone that doesn't have a modern RUU available for it
I haven't got a clue! I've created a goldcard using goldcard tool 0.0.5 which said I have successfully created one. I have a partition on the card, but as far as I can tell that shouldn't be a problem.
The WWE RUU won't run (error 170 - usb connection error) and when I put the PB99IMG.zip from the Tmobile RUU on the sd root (goldcard) and run bootloader, it doesn't detect it.
If I try to run the TMobile RUU it gets so far and then gives the error 140 bootloader version.
If anyone can suggest anything to try I'd really appreciate it as I'm getting nowhere!
Ok, I managed to get the WWE RUU to work by putting the PB99IMG.zip on the goldcard.
I guess that will have to do when sending back for warranty.
Thanks for the help in any case. If anyone knows why I wasn't able to run the TMobile RUU please let me know.
