Hi,
I have a SGS I9000. Is there anyway I can make the phone to sleep/lock after double pressing the home key?
Thanks
You do know that you can lock it by pressing the power button right?
and give change for "No lock" called app what can get from market for free.

hi, i know Jkay have double home key to launch one app that i can assign to. but only one app.?
Is there any other free app that can set up quick short cut key/button? like long press volume up/down key. i found Ninja Smart key, but it's not free, and you need to lock, press power key and press the screen before using the quick key. too many steps.
I find it very easy to hit the lock button by accident, particularly when turning the phone horizontally or when passing it to someone to show them something. Is there an existing or a possibility of a tweak where the screen locking would only happen by, say, a double press of the lock button?
Hello All,
I've conceded the fact that the phantom presses from capacitive buttons occur and cannot be stopped so I rooted my device (and commented the use of the search and menu button to be benign / vestigial). I am realizing home much I need to use the menu button. I attempted to use a program that put up a on screen menu but I just disliked it. I also to use launch key, but it only impact the long press of the search button which is already turned off.
Is there anyway to remap the longpress of home to act as a menu button?
Best,
Norman
So heres my problem in a nutshell:
When I press the home button, my phone unlocks (I have no lockscreen), however it takes me to the home screen. Whereas if I hit the power button, the screen turns on where I left off. This is the expected behavior.
If I go into S-Voice, and select "Open via the home key", the home key unlocks the phone correctly, but I have to deal with the home button lag issue.
So, how do I get the best of both worlds? No lockscreen, no home button lag, and no issue with using the home button to wake the phone.
I could do without S-Voice all together so if thats an option Im OK with it.

I wasn't happy with the speed of the home button, I took off the double tap for svoice and I'm much happier not sure if that helps you
So my power button pops off, and the replacement in Indonesia is nonexistence. I've been using "button mapper" app and changed the up volume button as my power button, but when my phone sleep/lock I cannot use the volume button anymore. I have to rely on "raise to wake" and "double tap to wake", but those things are slow and sometimes acting up in android Q
Is there any way to remap my home button? what should I do, and if I should root my phone what is the next thing to do?
Thank you very much
