search my name "fastfed"
And look for my post "What are your favorite show off apps"
It had about 4 or so pages (maybe more) of great apps for you to try..
I got about 3-4 apps that I also call my favorite now.
"Vlingo" is one of them
Angry birds
Glider
scanner (scan police)
cam card (great tool to capture a business card and put it into contact, DOES IT AWESOME)
Slingplayer app, plays my tv phone home to my phone.. Needs hardware at 150 bucks or more
DolphinHD, my favorite browser so far.
Launcherpro (more of a UI)
Those are just a few.. Always looking for more..
Someone should make a thread and make it a sticky of "Best applications on the market"

Cool I'll check them out.

In no particular order:
Free:
Google Music
Pandora
Chase Mobile App
Dropbox
Paid:
Tapatalk Pro
Titanium Backup Pro
Boot Manager
Fancy Widget Pro (for AOSP ROMs)
Launcher Pro Plus (for AOSP ROMs - excluding MIUI)
Ill check these out guys...thanks

IheartRadio, Pandora, root explorer, Vevo and XDA of course
Audiogalaxy, Battery Monitor Widget, DroidWall, Dual Mount SD, Opera Mobile, RealCalc (Best RPN Calc on Android), Titanium Backup (paid), Total Commander...
Following are apps that I find extremely useful, and may be paid and / or have a free version;
CalenGoo - My quest for the perfect calendar ended here.
gReader Pro - My quest for the perfect reader ended here.
Palmary Weather Pro
Chrome to Phone
Go SMS / Go Contacts (w/ Enterprise theme - which is AWESOME)
Uber Music (awesome player, no equalizer but there is apparently an equalizer app in the market that works with it)
Titanium Backup
Root Explorer
SetCPU
Chrome Marks (syncs with Chrome bookmarks - very handy)
Pano (my only camera app, best panoramic camera available)
Launcher Pro Plus / ADWEX
WidgetLocker
Tasker
Dropbox
SportsTap
Smart Keyboard Pro
Ravid - it's an app that makes video messaging as easy as texting. It's the perfect counterpart to Skype (which is the phone calling analogue, IMO).
Bird Bar - it lets you bring up the notification bar even when covered, with many options configurable in terms of where it can be triggered.
I'll bite.
In no particular order, other than when they popped into my head...
Tapatalk - because even though I bought the premium xda app, Tapatalk is still better. I use it for the couple of other forums I use too.
Titanium Backup - specifically the pro key. Best purchase I've made from the market.
Widgetsoid (2.x) - the best toggle widget I've found. Has tons of options, and I specifically love the mobile data toggle since it works without messing with my APN.
Droidwall - for allowing or refusing 3g or wifi connectivity to specific apps. I specifically use it to keep apps from syncing on 3g, or keep apps that have no reason for internet access from connecting.
Root Explorer - pretty much essential for any rooted user. I also like the ability to extract rar archives and choose individual files for extraction.
Call Confirm -.because I use a contacts widget and would accidentally call people all the time.
QuickPic - because default galleries tend to suck & I have a ton of folders that I exclude. It's by far the best gallery app out there.
PlayerPro - for music.
Desktop Visualizer - because it's awesome. I bought BetterCut when I first got my phone & it sucks in comparison.
ADW EX - is my default home app. LauncherPro is good too (at least the plus version) but I love the hidden dock on ADW & it's smoother for me.
SwiftKey X - because sometimes it guesses my entire sentence.
Alt Drawer - ADW doesn't use the icons I've set through my MIUI theme, and that bugs me. Alt Drawer looks better & has more options too. I use Quick Launch (Button Shortcut will also work and it's free) to open it when I long-press the search key. App drawer anywhere! I don't think it's in the market, you can find it on xda.
That's pretty much all of the apps I use other than widgets, Dropbox, gReader, Aldiko, WidgetLocker, system apps, and various utilities.

Another to add to the list is rock player. O use the free versiom. It plays many types of video files on the phone nice to have

A tip if you are considering purchasing Titanium Backup. You can buy it from the Market but you can also buy the Donate version license direct from their website. The Donate version almost a dollar less expensive. It has the exact same functionality as the Pro version in the Market.
The reason I went with Donate: Titanium allows you to use the Pro/Donate version on all your your devices but it is much easier to do with the Donate version since all of your phones do not have to be linked to the same Market account.

Top 10 must have Apps

Every device on XDA has one so why not us, so i thought i might as well bring it over to our side
I'm going to share some useful applications I have on my GS2.
1.Rotation Locker - It locks your screen to either Portrait or Landscape. Awesome app to have when playing temple run in landscape.
2. Rom ToolBox Pro - ROM Toolbox combines apps like Titanium Backup, Root Explorer, ROM Manager, front changer, and etc. Basically your swiss army knife for a root user.
3. AdFree for Android - I hate annoying ads this app removes most ads in the browser and other apps.
4. MXPlayer - one of the best apps for viewing movies and online content if you dont want to use gallery.
5. ProPlayer Music Player - Awesome music player that support all music formats, built in EQ, allows you to change songs when phone in standby mode by just the volume button
6.Tweetcaster - Great App to use if you tried of twitter. other than that its a social networking app that needs no explanation
7. Amazon App Store - They offer a Free Paid App Of The Day (snag rom toolbox pro off of there this is a must have app) did i mention FREE PAID APP A DAY!!!!!
8. XDA App - No Explanation at all
9. Dolphin browser HD - To me Best web browser on the android market (Plz remember this is an opinion lol)
10. Audio Manager / hide it pro - If you have one of those girlfriends/wife that love going threw your phone (call log, sms, pictures.) This app is perfect for you. lets u hide pictures, videos, applications, messages, and calls in your phone in plain sight.
This is a community and we all have the same device so lets help each other out. If you want to know what's a good app is regarding your needs, ask in this thread and I, or others, will be able to help you out.
*NOTE* If you know any unique or useful applications dont be selfish and keep it to yourself, please add them in this thread so I and others on this thread can check them out. Hey you never know who you may help or surprise on this thread

I've been back and forth on task killers. The one I'm using now has a quick 1-click widget. I excluded all of the apps that should stay running for stability and other reasons and only have it setup to kill games and other apps that I don't want notifications from and don't need to keep running. It's quick and easy for me to just kill all the junk apps all at once. I have noticed a performance difference with it too.
I also use Autostarts to keep crap from starting up when I don't need it.

This ability is built in to Touchwiz, and can be found in the settings. It's called Blocking Mode, schedules, allowed contacts ... just as you describe, free.
Tasker, Dropsync, Nova Launcher, Hovernote, Floating Browser, (in-app pro version purchase based on IMEI is annoying, but it works, and can be restored after uninstallation) and the best photo editor I've found is PicSay Pro.

+1 to that.
Also like Nitrodesk Touchdown, lets me access my work Exchange account without giving work Admin access to my device.
1. Titanium Backup
2. Root Explorer
3. PowerAmp
Those are my top 3 for sure. PowerAmp definitely isn't necessary, but I like it more than the sammy player. Sometimes I may use beautiful widgets, but on the Note2 I use One More Clock as my clock/weather options and it's free. If any good kernels get developed, I'll buy the kernel developers app as well. I used to use Lightflow religiously on my Nexus, but seems like there is still a conflict with touchwiz software on that front for now.
Some additional favorites of mine:

Clear vision, although that's a game...
Hmm let's see
Titanium backup (everyone with root no their phones should own this)
SuperSU Pro (wonderful for the root logs if you have stuff asking for root and you don't know what they are)
Mobile Odin Pro (I bought this to be supportive, I don't really use it...one of those "you don't know you need it til you need it" kind of things)
HD Widgets (best clock/weather widgets period)
Beautiful Widgets (second best clock/weather widgets period)
FPSE (PlayStation Emulator...very highly recommended for our phones. 60fps on every game I play)
Feedr (best RSS app/widget out there)
Podkicker Pro (best podcast app/widget out there...free version looks awful, paid version is much better)
Swiftkey 3 (and, when it comes out, Swiftkey Flow)
Realcalc (if you're in college and need a scientific calculator)
XDA Premium ( )
SetCPU (it took me 2 years to buy it since it's available on XDA free...but frankly I like knowing I contributed to that dev's awesome work)

Screenshots of your favorite multiwindow setup

Just curious. I see very few reasons to use this feature. I just hold home for to seconds and hop back and forth. Or copy and paste. What do you guys love it for?

Is it too late to modify the topic before it's flooded with tons of useless pics showing 2 apps running? No offense, but it's an idea as pointless as posting home screens or telling which color phone you bought.
Perhaps we would all be helped by elaborating on, "how have you gotten the most use or productivity using mw"

I find it makes it easier to copy text from an app (like browser) into an SMS/email etc without switching back and forth. Don't use it a lot but when i do use it, it's very useful and works very well.
For me it solves the problem of YouTube shutting down whenever the app is not in use. I listen to a lot of music there and many videos aren't even videos but just images with the audio playing. Now I fire up youtube in 1 section and open the browser or whatever else in the other and maiximize its size.
I use it while doing Google chat with people while also Web browsing.

Google currents alternative

Since currents got taken down and replaced by new stand are there any alternatives out there that are similar to currents? I liked how it sorts your subscription by categories and you can access the categories by swiping in from the left and once in a category if you swipe from the right you can access different subscriptions... Anything out there that does this?

im another looking for a Currents replacement. I loved Currents it was perfect for what i want! I have tried, Feedly, Greader, Flipbook, rss reader, they all suck! I just want something that looks good and more importantly allows me to categorize my feeds! none of them let me do this.. If i want to read about android stuff i go to my android feeds, if i want car, i car to all my car feeds etc.. Will have a look at 360 too.. hepe its good.
