I can't seem to download anything from the market. It hangs on "starting download". The web works just fine. I'm running CM61. RC1

As you might have guessed from the title of this thread, I can't get Flash to work in the browser.
I'm running CM6, latest version. RC 3, build FRF91. Baseband is updated to 2.15. Everything works as it should as far as I can tell.
I've installed Flash from the market, uninstalled it, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted, uninstalled then reinstalled, rebooted, and various other combinations of the above. I fixed permissions with ROM Manager as well.
Whenever I hit a Flash site in the browser I just get the stupid lego-block looking thing with the question mark on it that's indicative of a missing plugin.
Is there something I've missed or that I'm obviously doing wrong? I haven't had my DINC very long and I'm still learning the ins and outs of the Android OS.
I tried searching these forums and saw something about a cooked version of the Flash .apk that allowed Hulu to work. Is there a version for the Incredible that works?

I'm in the same boat and looking for the same answer. I'm going to follow this thread and hope some one comes along with some guidance.
I know that there's a version that works that comes from the SkyRaider ROM. I believe it's a beta version though.
try this http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LCLJY2D4 you most load to pc first then drag it to your sd

Downloading now, I'll give it shot and see what happens.

Hot ****, Upstreammiami's download link worked. Flash sites are working fine now. Hulu tells me that my platform is unsupported but at least the site loads. Maybe I'll give Dolphin Browser another shot, see if that works with Hulu.
Thanks!

Well that's sucks, none the less, thanks for the help. Hulu loads now, a do all the flash ads. Still no hulu, but at least its not my Dinc's fault.

I've had the same problem intermittently. I usually have better luck after stopping the service and clearing the cache/data. It doesn't always work immediately, but it always seem to start working eventually.
I've been having this problem a lot lately too.
I just wait, and surf XDA forums to kill the time
I've got an HTC Evo running CyanogenMod 7.0.3.1 and when I try to install the new Google Music Beta app from the market it comes back with "Install Unsuccessful" and then gives me "Package file not signed correctly". I've tried multiple times with no luck, any ideas as to how I might get around this. Thanks in advance!

Unsuccessful, but for "
I'm on a Nexus One and also cannot install, but error says: "Application cannot be installed in the default install location."
I've tried clearing app market cache and unmounting SD card, but no workie.
Any ideas?
Mine installed just fine. I'm running warm 2.2... Not sure what's going on. Any other apps not installing properly?
Other installs working fine
I tried two other apps and they both installed fine. I tried the following remedies, none of which worked. Not sure what to try next...
unmount/remount sd card
airplane mode on/off
soft reset
uninstall app market updates
I'm running stock 2.3.3 on unrooted N1.
i am still waiting on my invite but i hope i dont have any problems on the install
All other apps install fine for me, I just can't get the music beta app to install. I installed the Netflix app today from the market with no problem.

I had an issue installing Google music on cm7 , I narrowed it down to the honeycomb port music apk I had installed. I'd suggest using root explorer and deleting any other music player you have installed.
I was using honeycomb port as well...it installed just fine for me from the market as an update...I had installed honeycomb port as system app maybe that's why it worked with no problems...

Yeah, I installed mine just fine. Don't have an invite, but it will not open at all. Just keeps FC on me. I don't get it. It is a Google app running on a Google OS. However, I am running Virus Gingersense Sense 3.0 so maybe that is the issue.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I finally got it working. I ended up remounting the file system as writeable and deleting the com.android.music.apk file that was there already. It installed fine after i cleared that up.
thanks again!
I got to download with no problems on CM7 7.0.3.1 from the market.

Install Problem: Music Beta
I'm on an unrooted stock N1 running 2.3.4 and Music Beta won't install in the default install location. I have no idea what is going on.
If people are talking about the google 3.0 honeycomb player. I just ran it on virus AB froyo.
Just gotta make sure to rename or delete the com.googlemusic.apk that already exists in system/app (if one already does)
Edit: sorry, i missed that someone already got it fixed.

I just brought my girlfriend a wildfire s which she loved an everything was going great until she stopped being able to download apps from market place. I checked the phones memory an there's still 68Mb left.
You can use market as normal but when you go to download an app or update one the download starts then stops straight away. I swapped over our Sims but the problem stays with the phone.
Has anyone else had this problem or know what it is? Thanks in advance

I have an answer from the HTC Company:
The only solution is to do hardreset of your Phone.
Hello,
I´m having the same problem. Market ( 2.3.6) works fine, until I try to update my apps or download new one. When I try to download something somethings, it says that it´s starting downloadnding and in the same second says that downloading fails. Everything was ok before. I am googling it whole day but havent found nothing usefull...
I tried this last week n it worked n then i completly forgot to update the thread, so sorry for that n thank you to Kubel.

I had the same problem try this as a temporary fix
make sure clock and date are set right
manage apps>Clear market and downloads cache and data then try again
Hope this helps
I had the same problem, I just installed the market update and let it re update it's self again.
I was booting up for the first time after a wipe, finished the setup and all my apps were auto installing over wifi. Well my power went out in the middle of all the apps downloading,so an error appeared for each app in my status bar.
Manually I could start each installation one by one. All good. But adobe flash player was one of the apps that got interrupted. I've obviously had it installed constantly thru ICS. Well immediately the market won't let the download continue for flash because it got interrupted. Even though it was just installing 30 seconds ago. Says my device is not compatible. Is the market that glitchy where I'm not out of the loop of existing users allowed to continue using flash? It took a simple power outage failed download and the market can't remember I should have flash installed?
I'm annoyed cause I wanted to keep flash officially in my app install list.

Maybe try pulling the flash related apk from a back up, then push to your /system/app folder then fix permissions then use titanium back up to restore market link
- Cheers
Seems as if Adobe has pulled the Flash player out of Play Store earlier then the said august 15th date...
Can't find Flash player on the play store thru search (on a Gnex which doesn't have it installed).
On my phone, which does have it installed, says my device 'isn't compatible with this app' when I go into the Play store and look it up. If you'd like, I could attach the .apk file here..
EDIT: Attached Adobe Flash Player 11 apk

I don't think you can search for Flash on a Gnex since it's not supported. Try browsing to play.Google.com from your desktop. But even if you find it you may not be able to push it to your device.

Hmm, that's strange. Seems your right, but I HAD previously installed it on my Gnex... and flash is working in any case. Maybe it's JB, since it's not supported, it won't show up in the app store?

If you copy the url of the app from your desktop/play store and open it through market on your device, it will say unsupported.
Forget flash. Use html5, it's way better.

Thanks. Yeah this is some kind of bug, Google should be made aware of it. Frustrating.
