Would love to be able to get the task bar icons from MIUI rom over to CM rom. The white battery, g3 and icons would look really good on CM.
Can any one do it or how would you go about doing this?
Any one know to add those taskbar icons to CM6 or to port them in?
They should all be in the framework-res.apk of the ROM and shouldn't be hard to move over... I might try it over the next two days while I'm off work but not sure if I'll have the time.
Taskbar?--------

Awesome man. Maybe if you could get the launcher bar for the app part? And the text on the apps, the white does not blend well with the grey.
Great work though, I miss my g1 so much already
wow, that app bar is great !!!!
BTW, the white letters doesnt seem to go well xD .

I like it. Hope it is released soon.
i think you should have made time in notification bar white instead of leaving it black though.

Not quite so easy, make sure you get the right services.jar (from a theme that is currently compatible with the 3.6.5 builds). The services.jar have changed to include the reboot on press.power and pull down the status_bar while having the lock screen.
My theme has a good services.jar, and if you want to change additional text: search for edit + xml. ; )
Nice start. Def gonna keep my eye on this one. I like the tray and some of those icons.
Rly good job, hope to see some final job of this if someone can port SMS Widget and Dialer too ( Music and Keyboard are already ported ) Cyanogen Mod and if this theme will be finished im gonna go back to 1.5 from Sense UI .
I posted the following in the "Helpful Thread - Read before clicking new thread" sticky the other day but apparently, I'm the only one who reads stickies on xda. Maybe someone in here can answer my question and I apologize if I offend anyone by posting this in the wrong thread...
*I got a question about installing themes. What is the proper procedure of installing a new theme after you've already installed a theme? The reason I'm asking is because (first of all I'm running Cyanogen's v3.6.5) I installed the HTC Hero v1.4.5 theme yesterday and everything went well. Then I wanted to see what the PrOdigal Sun theme (Orange Cyanogen_Mod V3.4.x, V3.5.x and V3.6.x version 2.8.) would look like so I just flashed the theme onto my phone (without wiping first-didn't think I had to or was supposed to) and I kept getting force closures after force closures. I then re-flashed the HTC Hero theme back onto my phone and everything seemed fine until I opened the drawer and saw that I had the icons of the PrOdigal Sun theme instead of the HTC Hero icons.
Long story short..I had to re-flash cyan's rom again the re-flash the HTC Hero theme. Didn't wanna try the PrOdigal Sun theme again because I wasnt sure if it was compatible with cyan's rom even tho it says it is. Thanks*
whens the eta for a beta version of this theme
i wanna try this out!
What do you mean "switched to aHome"?

ahome is a homescreen replacement, instead of using the regular homescreen that comes stock with android.
he's making this theme thru "ahome" which allows the icons to be at the bottom where the "menu bar" is removed.

I"ll be working on a Palm Pre Theme for Cyanogen 3.6.5 Build. Like the i said on the Title: "Palm Pre Home Theme" for now just home screen, icons and few drawers.
Okay I switched to aHome Since the icons are at the bottom!!
here is my progress

I'm pretty sad about the aHome switch. I have problems with aHome. Can you post the icons in a .zip and your launcher as well. I really want to make a private them with that app bar and those icons.
Hey! Just flashed back to SkyRaider after giving the Desire Z ROM a go, and one little thing I really liked about it was the icon for 3G and 1X in the notification bar. Any way to put that into a standard Sense rom? Thanks!
The icons should be in framework-res.apk like they are in everything else.
I'll take a look and see what i can do.
EDIT: These particular icons are hiding in com.htc.resources.apk
This is my first MetaMorph theme, but it looks like it should work. Use at your own risk though. If anyone more experienced would like to tell me if this is right or not, I'd appreciate it.
anyone have a screenshot of what they look like
They're actually the stock Android icons. I don't know why, but HTC decided to stop using their custom ones.

Haha so they are! Can't believe I didn't notice that before.
To many new firmware releases, no enough personal time to update at the moment, Sorry guys.
Looks great...
Can you do one EXACTLY like stock AOSP (with the CM battery icon)?
Thanks!
I can try. The status bar will remain the same as will the settings and such. Mainly the 3G, H icons correct and the battery. Did you want the percentage one?
adb push galaxyS2.apk /system/bacon
Edit, and the volume bar, etc...
Is the wifi icon also AOSP?
Edit: Ofcourse, what a question

I would like that too.
Looks like this theme disabled the non increasing ring. Not a good thing.
Really? I didnt include a phone.apk in the zip. The increasing ring tone fix was in the phone.apk I thought.
Not sure how it can mess with it . I'll double check however. The green around the pop up menus is starting to annoy me lol. Going to change to AOSP grey
I just flashed back 100% to the lightning in the post, wiped everything and the increasing ring tone was present. My theme did not rid the non increasing ring tone.
adb push galaxyS2.apk /system/bacon

Hmm alright, 1.5 comes with inc. ring then. Thought it wasn't
The green lines around the popup menus were really nice actually.. But hey your the themer right
Great job though..
What about the green glow? Might make 2 versions. I can put the line back very easy same for glow. Just wish more people liked clean themes.
adb push galaxyS2.apk /system/bacon
That's what I'm talking about. The green line on popup windows + glow. It's really nice.
Ok I'll add that back in, I liked it from time to time, however against some colors it looked dull, or out of place.
I've got an idea as well, rather than samsung 3G, H, H+ data icons, I'm going to switch to AOSP ones, and for the HSPA+ ones, well just wait and see , also switch to the CM7 green battery, because people like this better apparently. Never been a fan of any CM7 rom honestly. But whatever
Bump for an update , See if anyone likes these.
A very nice theme. I would like a round battery indicator (like the one originally in in Lite'ning).
Thanks for the efforts!
Would this work on lite'ning rom V2.0 ?
nice work!

Not yet, I will try and update it tomorrow or the next day to support all KG1 roms. I have already tested it on my own KG1 rom, however I want to flash a few new ones just to make sure.
ive searched and didnt find what i was looking for and if someone already asked this i didnt see it... also mods if im asking in wrong place then just move it....
Im running Calkulins rom v1.0 which comes with a custom TW launcher and i would like to add the ICS icons . I know theres already a ics icon pack available but i need to install a custom launcher like ADW,LP, or GO but i want to keep TW . Also Overstew has a ICS theme that is compatible which looks very nice but i like the way the drop down notication looks (transparent) and the system icons i.e. Wifi,Bluetooth, GPS, Sound, 4g...
So is there a way to do this just add the ICS icons maybe a flashable zip or something or could i open up a theme erase what i dont want?
TIA to anyone that helps

Open up my theme and remove the systemUI.apk from the app folder. Then, just delete the entire framework folder. Then flash.
will the launcher still have the 5 dock icons?
thanks for the quick response

When flashing the aosp icons, are they the same height as the original Samsung ones? In pictures sometime they seem a little smaller.. and I'm getting a little bored now with Samsung icons.. just wanted something new now. I don't like custom roms, I like something that works and never updates every week or so. Which is dumb, if you're gonna update again soon, why update.. have it all in one. Anyways, I like the green so that's why I want to change icons now but hesitant and also, would I have the clock back if I flash the icons? Because I removed the clock..

You could always make a nandroid backup and flash the icons. If you don't like them, you can restore your backup and later delete it. I'm not so sure about having the clock back although I don't think you would since your just flashing the icons.

I'm looking for a flashable AOSP icon package myself. Would you be kind enough to share a link to that?
