After seeing how everyone is going about making their own docks, i decided to take it one step farther and make my own with media capabilities
I made a wooden shell and used the guts from my old JBL On Call (for my old nokia)

The above, transformed into the below
(the sound quality is superb seeing how the speakers from the JBL are made by Harmon & Kardon)
What do yall think?
Not bad at all! Maybe some decals? Like putting a Droid on the box.
Sweet man

Got this idea for a stand while I was feeling uncomfortable watching a video on youtube, it's pretty solid and the phone sits tight (you can operate the phone while it's sitting in there, it wont flip over or fall out of the stand), must replace the remote with some other thing, though.
Will update the thread when I do it, going to make myself a nice portable phone stand.

LMAO! Thats pure genius... Made my day.
I made myself one of these: http://www.richandstephsipe.com/wordpress/2008/11/20/iphone-binder-clip-stand-instructions/
I was looking at the specs of the previous gen and noticed that it had two microphones. After looking around on this one, I only see one. Is that correct?
Yes I believe that is correct...it's the one thing that I do miss from the previous generation N7 since I found the dual noise canceling mics used to work quite well. I think they removed it due to the addition of the dual speakers on the new N7. The new speaker is located where one of the old mics used to be.
So where is the microphone?

Right side.
Since we don't have the best speaker on our N5s, I was wondering if anyone has seen a horn stand for Nexus 5 similar to the ones for iphone. My dad had one for his iphone and they work really well and the sound coming out of the horn is pretty clear and loud

I saw this announced a while back and was REALLY interested trying it out. I don't frequently have dead batteries but a lot of friends do. I generally just like to be prepared. So, I asked Anker if I could test one and review it and they sent it to me. I will be finding time very soon to put it to test.

Started a new project. Lots of question in my mind Especially the stability of this device.
But the design fits perfect for my needs!

The housing will be 3D printed and will probably look something like this..
I'm thinking of using this X9 without the housing pod for a few months to test the stability. I just get rid of that antenna and extended PowerSW for DCDC Intelligent PSU. Actually I extend volume up/down/reset wires to steering wheel buttons.
