I was just looking at seidio's site and stumbled across this case. I like the coverage it provides to the phone, the only thing i dont like is that the kickstand isnt accessible in this case. Can we have someone go to seidio dot com and post a like to the case please. And does anyone know when this case is being released.
I just received my extended batteries and can't wait for this to be released cause my phone is naked till then
they did just update the pictures for the case

Dang I want one, but 70 freaking dollars? Im a lavish spender but thats just too much. Id pay 25 max for a holster, maybe some will come out on ebay for less soon.
Thats the extended case( plus rugged addon) ,screen protector, holster for 70$ not bad in my opinion

I'm already half-way there. I'll just pick up the extended rugged by itself when it's available on amazon. Finally an otterbox type shell for the extended battery.
thats not a bad deal.. might order this after i get me a 16gb mirco sd card.. 8gb isnt enough
Tempting, but my current Seido Rugged(normal battery size case), is falling apart and so is the one on my wife's Evo. It still is tempting though...

I pulled the 16g SD card from the epic I had for two weeks, before exchanging it for the evo. My evo now has the 16g SD that I kept from the epic. I shoved an 4g SD in it before return. Kid at best buy didnt even notice.

Just got this bad boy today, fits right over the Seidio Extended battery cover. I like it, makes the phone look a bit wider. Sorry for the ****ty pics but I used my old G1 to take it.
I got this for $23.99 plus $3 S&H totalling to $27.99, bought the extended battery and battery door for $53.99 plus $4 S&H totalling to $57.99 to give me a grand total of $86. Was I nuts for doing this ? MAYBE, but am I happy ? YES and thats all that matters to me.

In case you are looking for a nice quality holster for something of this size, I am using the T-Mobile Sidekick LX holster that I bought at T-Mobile for $5 since they were liquidating it. It fits perfectly like a glove with the SEIDIO battery pack. Im sure you can find more on Ebay.

I just ordered one. 50 bucks is kinda pricey but I don't want to end up with my phone broken because I have no insurance.
Better order one quick before they run out!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Just ordered mine. Was really bummed about not being able to get the Defender but loving the 3500 battery. Funny how they wait till Otterbox releases the Defender to finally release their rugged add on. Can't get me to believe that they just finished design & production, the phone has been our since June.
Sent from my new BFF...Evo 4G that is!
the only problem is having to take everything off to charge the extended batt. from what i have seen here, the evo wont charge these extended batt compleatly. so you have to charge them externaly.
anyone receive this yet have any comments about the case? im deciding whether or not to purchase this, or sacrifice my extended battery for the otterbox defender
! I HATE THIS PREDICAMENT! :/

No! I check back every day but my order is still "Processing". Even though the money left my account almost immediately.

yes please!!!! im going back to my stock battery trying to see if the battery life is "doable" for me right now.... otterbox defender case looks SO MUCH MORE SEXIER than the seidio rugged.. even though seidio has it for the extended battery. i jsut dont want it to breakdown like the original seidio rugged cases... -_-
if i go otterbox then that means i have 2 seidio plus wall charger on sale soon! XD
Mine gets delivered today. Since I won't risk using my EVO without it once it's here, it will be hard to be completely impartial, but I'll give my thoughts once I have it.
I have mine and I'm on the fence about it cause it is a little bigger then just the extended I have . I like the extended i was using but did not like the fact it would scratch the sides of phone when taking on and off .not having top and bottom protection was not a big deal but It did make me feel less secure about using the phone .
Now the extended rugged is nice not sure how I feel about it yet but it looks a lot more beefy and the fact I can use it as a weapon to hit somebody or throw it at some poor soul knock him out then pick it up and use it is cool ..but I'll put it on and see how well it fits in pocket and feels in hand ..
One of my favorites is still the otterbox commuter with sedio 1750 love the looks love the feel it's just nice ..
Now I have never done reviews but if you guys like I can take some pics or side by sides just let me know and I'd be happy to help you make your choice if you are still on fence
Sorry for long post maybe bad grammar and poor punctuation but Hey you can read it (painful or not )
I just got my Extended Rugged combo today this morning. I will post pics after I work. It feels really sturdy. Definitely a brick now. I'm sure it would survive a drop easily. Sadly the kickstand is gone tho.
It takes awhile to put it on and take it off considering its bad to charge the battery in the phone. The rubber attracts dust. The headphone and the charge port are covered with the rubber case as a flap. It feels really sturdy, And once on the device it feels like a tank. It isn't as thick as it looks in the pictures feels nice in the hand and in my pockets ( I wear carpenter jeans a lot ). I don't have to worry about breaking the phone any more. Everything is well packaged and for 50 bucks you even get a holster with it. Everything fits together nicely and the buttons are still really easy to push. I never have had problems with the buttons once even tho in the pictures it looks like they aren't there. It is worth the 50 bucks tho, or 30 if you already have the innocase extended. This is the short review though, It will definitely hold up.
Looks very nice tracking says I'll get mine tomorrow now I'll finally have my phone protected at work and a holster I'm excited been waiting on this for awhile figured of wait for combo instead of just the extended

Let me know how it turns out bro, I'm sure the battery is most helpful use of all.
I love this case comes with extended holster for just using extended case and rugged holster with rugged case rugged case is very sturdy and feels very nice in hand I'm not concerned about dropping my evo anymore
the only complaint I might have is when u try to type far keys next to edge you hit case but on rare occasions
Overall definitely worth the wait plus integration with my seidio car dock using ext case is pure icing on the cake
The only reason I won't upgrade this phone is cause the sheer amount of accessories I bought to get it perfect and I'll wait till it dies
Once again thanks seidio for making best sturdy sexy looking accessories ever

This looks like a major problem to me. Does anyone that hasthis case use one of the "slide style" keyboards? I use one and i'm worried I wont be able to "slide" over and hit the P or the Q. Can someone please let me know if this is true or not.
Also I have another question. Does that big beefy belt clip hold securely on a dress/casual type of belt or does it flop around? A friend of mine had the regular rugged case and he hated the holster because it wouldn't grab onto his regular sized belt it would flop around.
Has anyone used this case before?
If I get one I'm considering saving 20$ off the cost of an otterbox in favor of that, plus not having to wait on shipping would be epic since my local best buy has one.
One other question does it have a screen protector built into the case? I know otterbox on the defender series has it built right into the case which imho is very nice.. It would be worth me paying another 20$ to not screw up putting a screen protector on.
*Edit*
Sorry was suppose to be in accessories section.. bleh >.<;

otterbox does not have built in screen protector, they removed it because it effected sensitivity or some crap. just bought an otterbox defender and I think it's worth the extra 20. IMO dropped it from a ladder today, no issues. however I know what you mean about applying screen protector, i ruined the one that came with the otterbox trying to put it on.
That is crap.. I mean, it works perfectly with my moms Iphone 4 and my step dads iphone 4..
Infact I've never heard of anyone having ANY problems with it..
Maybe it has to do with swype?
Or people just have to gripe about one of the major selling points of a device..
I know some people are good at putting on screen protectors but, I am not.. never have been.. I will end up wasting 20$ on a pack of screen protectors and none of them ever sticking properly...

I prefer the Platinum case over the otter box...The belt holder is very strong and secure..and the case offers a good amount of protection from everyday dents & dings.I've dropped mine a few times from waist hieght onto the screen side..and onto the edge..No issues..no damage..As to the screen protectors..the best one I have found is what you can buy at any AT&T store..I just asked the sales folks who is the best at installing them..and let them do it for me...
I had the defender when I owned a Sprint Hero..they are a great case too..but for my taste now... add way too much bulk to whatever phone it is on. They offer more protection than the Platinum case..but that comes with having to lug around all of the extra bulk from the case..If you need that level of protection...then get it..if you don't..go with the platinum..both are very good.

So I am taking it the case fits well with your screen protector then?

Yes...it fits extremely well and holds up well as well. This screen protector is thicker than the generic type you have to trim to fit.It does not hinder the case..nor does it inhibit the touch capability of the the screen. I think they sell them for a for $9.99...I get about 3-4 months heavy useage out of first 1 before I had at&t switched it last week
Mac
I put an otterbox impact series case on mine last week, came with a screen protector that went on flawlessly. So well in fact you can't even tell it's there and it's smudge proof. Bought it on Amazon for $10, noticed it's $12 now.
I am probably just gunna have the guy at at&t install one for me..
WIll either get a platnum series case from bestbuy..
Or order the seidio active one since I like it aesthetically.
you can get the defender @ the same price on Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/Otterbox-Sams...4WW6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1294424789&sr=8-3
as well as with other vendors:
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=otte...N&tab=wf&biw=1152&bih=670&fp=e64ee6e4e8056c32
Here was I would recommend....
Go to your Best Buy and ask if you can test it out on your phone. If you like the feel of it then get it. If not, I would recommend getting the OtterBox Commuter Case which I believe is sold at Best Buy as well.
if you want the commuter it can be had cheaper than the platinum.
http://www.amazon.com/Otterbox-Comm...TJFI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1294427693&sr=8-1
I have the seidio rugged holster and case. Great buy, and loads of protection. If you don't know(i didn't for a while) seidio is the company that makes the platinum case . The rugged combo is the platinum case under two extra layers of protection. Didn't see it in best buy, but it was on amazon for fifty bucks . Highly recommend it.

FYI , I wrote Mugen Power about making a high capacity extended battery for our Tmobile SGSii T989 and they wrote back and said it would release before Christmas. Im planing on getting one and will update the OP with a review when they release.
thats the same person i talk to and he/she says it be release in november...well its december..
That would be sweet. Battery life is already great on this phone given how it is on so many other android phones. I bet I could easily go 2 days without charging with a better battery!
A little FYI about Mugen Batteries. Check this out.
i had mugen on my G2 and it was good! and i am a power user, i can drain it in 12 hours, i use wifi hot spot alot but nonetheless it is worth it.

That's interesting, but what if the battery on the left was a 1800mAh battery, that would make it a 3000 mAh battery. I don't know what to think about the picture but I have used Mugen batteries before with good results.

that's the reason why i've never purchased their batteries,
it's great an all, they even include the battery door cover, but.....
there are no cases that fit!!!!!! when you use them, so that's a big no no for me

Probably not the most convenient but I stick with OEM batteries, they're cheap enuf on ebay and having 2 batteries works just fine. Also the cases fit fine along with the OEM car dock. OEM might be more expensive, but it's the real deal
I think AllGamer has stated this in a different thread already much better than me
The inability to fit a case with these extended batteries prompted me to import a T-Moble PowerSkin, at 70.99 USD after a 20% discount this thing should have came with a bj or something.
It doubles the thickness, i am not sure how i feel about the quality of it yet, it feels good to the touch but it doesn't feel like it fits the device tightly, and to transfer files via usb you have to remove the case because they did not enable usb pass-through from the case charging port to the port that connects the case to your phone. The thickness i can deal with i knew it was coming, i like the idea it was a case too, but it kind of feels like it fits like ****. like its been stretched out by taking it on and off multiple times.
Not that i can bother returning it, i'll just have to eat it. Shipping it back would cost half the price of the case, put in the value of my time to complain to them and im sure at least 2 emails/calls. What can yah do.
Can you post a link for where you ordered the powerskin from and post some pics?

They're customer service is actually very good. I emailed them about a blackfriday code 2 days after I made my order and they refunded me 15%.. today I emailed about not receiving the case and they sent me a replacement for free and said that if both cases come, I'm welcome to keep both
EDIT - Idk how I managed to post in the wrong thread lol.. I was looking at many case threads at the same time and I thought I was in the diztronic one when I posted this. my bad
Hello everyone, im somewhat new here and I will be soon to be upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy S3 (finally ditching this crappy blackberry curve). This will be my first Android phone, actually my first touch screen phone as well. Anyways I was looking at cases to get and found the Ballistic SG Maxx. I like the look and the features it has. Are these good cases (i know this isn't out yet)? Does the back clip come off? Are there any other cases I should look at or are better?
Second question what accessories would you guys recommend? I bought a Patriot 64GB SD Class 10 card already from NCIX for $47.99 CDN (its on sale now, head to NCIX to find it).
Thanks for any advice or help

I'm in a similar situation and I've found a combination of this forum and youtube can take up a lot of my time researching your same questions. Fortunately I like doing it. What I've found is that there are a lot of great options and I'm finding new things every day. There's a common theme though with cases, almost all of them work, some better than others, and some people love them while others hate them. Bottom line, it's all personal opinion for the most part. Instead of dropping $40 on a case for a phone I don't even have yet, I'm buying cheap things to test out before I buy a higher quality product if it's even necessary. So far I've ordered a white and black Fosmon case with kickstand $6, a black duel layer case from Acase $12, and I just ordered a metal bumper for $15.
As for the SD I recently picked up a 32gb class 10 card for $24 which I thought was a great deal but now it is a pretty standard price. I'm going to hold out on the 64 for a couple of months since the price should start dropping on those as well. However I probably would have picked one up at the price you paid for yours.
