I have the 2nd edition dash from Tmo.
I want to get rid of its black exterior and replace it with maybe a translucent blue one.
Kinda like case modding for consoles.

no idea.. but i'd probably be interested in your stock black case if you are able to do this.

That a cool idea, I had a clear housing back in the day on my V3 with one of those flashing batterys. It was phat. Ill help your search, Ill post if i find something.

There was post on this about 3 months back. I sent a couple of e-mails to these people to inquire about there product. Never received a reply.

I didn't know people still did that to their phones Phukkah, maybe you want to trade your dash for a nokia with a clear case, neon lit battery and a flashing led antenna,.JK

Ehh, I wouldn't mind having a translucent case with a black back, especially since it helps my phone from sliding across tables and what not.

Looks like they are reusing butt plugs, shaving down the sides a little, and selling them as stands...

wonder if it will stick to the back of the TPU mat cases.

A couple past girlfriends had them.

[TEMPLATE] Google Employee Battery Cover

Wasn't sure exactly where to put this, so mods feel free to move this thread if necessary.
I recently saw this thread with custom laser engraved battery covers:

I also was aware of the limited edition google employee battery cover. I figured since they are either ridiculously priced/nowhere to be found, that I would just remake the template so that people could get it done if they wanted too. A few of the icons had to be custom made because I could not find them, but everything is very close. Revisions can always be made later (or by you) if you choose.
I'm sure this template could be used for a number of things, so I figured themes & apps was the most appropriate place to post it. I left the edges to the side icons on also, so if you plan on using this for the engraving, make sure you take care of them.

Any ideas where to get it etched?

I'm not sure I'd want this particular battery cover, but does anyone know of a way of getting other battery covers for the LTE Galaxy Nexus? Custom etching would be nice, but mainly I'd be happy with anything that doesn't have the damn Verizon logo.

I when i get my galaxy nexus i am going to get a non carrior one and maybe spray paint it or something or see if i can take it to an engraving place and get something on it
If not then it will still be better then having sprint logo on it

Ill try to contact the guy that sold me the phone, He is a google employee and see if he has any battery doors ...

As you can see there are some strange dark layers on the screen (left side and in the middle).
Can anyone let me know how this can be fixed?
My phone is not under warranty so no option of replacement.

It's something like a "amoled" feature. My gnex has the keyboard visible on a white background. Someone made an app that turned the brightness to 100% on a white background, that fixed it for some days/months.

you cannot fix your issue with software. END OF STORY.
you can do a replacement, but you would have to pay for it. either pay someone to do it, or replace it yourself.

it might. you also might get another bad screen.
no idea. amazon/ebay would be a good place to start for the screen by itself.

Hey. You have a screen burn. Try and get the screen replaced from a gray market shop. This is an issue with AMOLED screens. If you keep something on for too long, it creates an image burn on the screen.
