[Q] Help the noob with uscc cdma desire - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, great site but I am regretting having rooted my uscc cdma desire. Everything I've read thus far seems to only pertain to GSM. I want to unroot back to the stock rom and would be very appreciative to even donate for this assistance.
fyi: I don't have the stock rom to unroot with.

You need an official uscc RUU, which has not turned up yet. Your only option is probably to wait for the 2.2 update which should unroot your phone. However, there are a few ROMs available: 2.2 sense-based, MIUI, and of cource, Cyanogenmod. I would try those out. If worse comes to worse, there is a recovery for rooted 2.1 stock somewhere in the blitzroms thread.

Seems like this uscc ruu is under lock and key somewhere. Thanks for the assist, I'll wait for the 2.2 update to unroot.....hopefully

[Q] Which stock ROM do I need?

I have a custom ROM on my Desire, but need to send it back to HTC again (screen freezes). I've tried flashing both T-Mobile (UK) stock ROMs -
RUU_Bravo_TMO_UK_1.15.110.11_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4. 05.00.11_release_122755.exe
RUU_Bravo_TMO_UK_1.21.110.4_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.0 6.00.02_2_release_127570_signed.exe
on the Official ROMs thread. Both fail with ERROR [140]: Bootloader version error.
Can anyone tell me what stock ROM version I need and where I can get it? My Desire is on T-Mobile (UK) with the following details :-

[Q] Unroot Erasesize 40000 Desire

Hello again XDA,
since I suddenly really need the money I spent on my Desire today for family reasons, I want to return it tomorrow
It's a German 2.2 Froyo Desire, unlocked, T-Mobile branded, stock ROM.
Nothing done to it besides running unrEVOked, which rooted the Desire and flashed a useless Clockwork recovery. Useless because it's a Erasesize 40000 Desire and everything in Clockwork gives an error.
I looked for RUUs but I haven't found anything regarding German T-Mobile ones...
Here's the info from the stock ROM:
Android version: 2.2
Baseband Version: 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27
Kernel version: 2.6.32.15-gd96f2c0 [email protected] #1

Erasesize 40000
So how can I safely unroot it?
It's really urgent, any help is greatly appreciated!
there isn't any german T-MO RUU. if you want to return it your best chance is to try to downgrade by using this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=832659
and then try to obtain the OTA by checking for new updates.

Is not unbranded the company is some wierd company from Puerto Rico called Open Mobile
its like sprint it does not have smart chip. just and sd card slot insane where u put the battery
Sorry for my English English is not my main language Neither is Spanish
I'm Half Japanese.
The reason why the roms do not work is because you have a cmda device. Most of the roms here are gsm. You should look in the Desire Index thread for cmda roms. In the future, never flash a gsm on a cmda and visa versa, it could seriously brick your device.

Thanks, but is there any way in which I don't have to root the phone? If I will root it then I will go for ICS or JB.
Thanks once again
You need to root so you'll better go for a custom Rom directly.

[Q] Help upgrading to Custom Rom

I hope this is in the right forum, if not I do apologize. Please move if need be.
I friend of mine needs a phone for a few months until he is ready for an upgrade so I offered him my inc2. Unfortunately I have not touched it in over a year and a half and wanted to do a little upgrade on it. Here is what is current.
Android: 2.2.1
BaseBand: 20.23W.30.0803U_0.99.01.0225_2
Kernel: 2.6.35.9-gdd66b2f [email protected] #1
Build: 1.34.605.4 CL341571
Software: 1.34.605.4
Recovery:
AlphaRev vivo_w XB ship S-OFF RL
HBOOT-6.13.1002
Radio-0.99.01.0225_2
eMMC-boot
I want to Upgrade to IncrediblyParanoid rom. What do I need to do to make this happen as far as baseband, kernels ect. Sort of need the steps to do it not the details of how. I should be able to figure that out but if you like that is fine also.
Thanks in advance
Ray
