I just noticed the other day that gmail was no longer pushing new mail, so I attempted to manually sync, but nothing at all happened. My phone is telling me "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." Its been saying that for almost a week.
I also noticed that when I try to download from the Market, it hangs at "Starting Download..." and does nothing at all.
When I try to open Gtalk it immediately force-closes.
I've been trying to find the solution to this for about four or five days, and I really don't want to have to do a factory reset. I figure that these incidents are all related, but cannot for the life of me find out how to fix it.
If you know anything about this and can, please help! Running rooted stock 2.2 rom. clockwork recovery.
I don't know about the gmail issues but I had a few problems with the market too. What fixed it for me was trying it again when I'm connected to wifi with a strong network. It flys when I did it that way.
Did you try deleting gtalk? then reinstall
I want to, but unfortunately uninstall isn't even an option for gtalk since it is a part of android.

BTW I did searched the forums, but didn't find anything
I have a couple of questions about my D-inc (android 2.2) I absolutely loved it, and everything about it, i originally used the unrevoked tool to root (android2.1) awhile ago, and then reverted back to stock and used the update.zip the morning it came out. worked great, i used unrevoked 3 when it came out (before it got pulled for the update), i only then started to notice some weird bugs.
I don't know if it was from the update.zip, unrevoked, or what.
My Gmail wont sync. i delete\archive\reply to a email on my phone and it still shows up online on my computer and vice versa. to relieve new e-mails i have to manually refresh every time. i tried to live with it, but now it is just annoying.
Under settings every time i try and go into accounts and sync it force closes and i cant open it, no matter how many times i reboot, use it in landscape mode (saw this might be a potential fix) and nothing.
Any help? I searched the forums and various android forums, but didn't see anybody with similar problems, no if anybody could point me in the same direction, I would appreciate it.
Did you try force stopping Accounts and Sync? Try clearing out your GMail cache too while you're there, that has fixed issues for me in the past.
Sent from HTC Incredible, Redemption 2.0.4, King's BFS #5 kernel OC to 1.113, s-off, Launcher Pro Plus
I cleared out the cache, and force stopped gmail and accounts/ sync and I'm still having the same problem.
so any other ideas?
Hey Guys,
Been experiencing gmail issue for the last couple of weeks.
Desire Z, now with the OTA update - used to have root, task managers, but did factory data reset which should remove those two, correct?
Upon boot, gmail functions well, and pushes my mail thru well, then after a while, i'd go into the gmail app and refresh, and a flurry of emails would come thru, some hours old.
I've done several factory resets, at the moment have weather sync every 3 hours, gmail, exchange (push), facebook for sense every 12 hours, and whatsapp.
Not sure how the native gmail app works, is it exchange? proprietary sync? imap idle? or thru the google cloud service?
been reading and people have cleared the gmail cache as a temp workaround, but I find this annoying, and its results are hit and miss.
I have tried on gmail app version 2.3 and 2.3.2 (latest)
any ideas?
PS - background data on, sync on, all on!
Native gmail app is pushhhhhh. It should be pushing down....
I have had troubles with syncing but I flash so muchstuff I'm never in the same place at the same time. So a wipe is always the fix everytime.
If I were you id quit on the weather (look up at the sky) and facebook. Eliminate the junk if you are trying to fix something substantially important. See what happens. Try a wipe they feel good actually.

Thanks for the suggestion,
over the weekend (Xmas weekend) i wiped twice, both times i didnt install anything else, both times after a period of time, it would stop pushing.
I have no idea now hahaha
Ok, so i just did it again, factory reset, formatted SD card, completely clean phone.
installed only my gmail account and my work exchange account. nothing else.
my push gmail worked for about 1/2 hour, and stopped again.
The problem is with Gmail. They just updated the.app. go to the Market and download the new app before you.delete your whole phone or something.

Yea.. I was having the same problem yesterday. Went to the market, saw there was an update. After I downloaded it, it fixed everything. Hummmm. Let me check my version # yup. I'm 2.3.2
Ok, this is really pissing me off.
A couple days ago Twitter app (the official one) stopped updating. So i opened it manually and tried to scroll down the tweets to make it load the new ones, but a popup message came out, the one usually displayed when no connection is available. First of all i checked my sync settings, and they were just fine.
Then i tried rebooting the phone, no way.
So i tried wiping cache, still no way.
Then i decided to try and reinstall the app. I did, but funny enough it didn't even allow me to login. I tried tons of other twitter apps and it's still the same, all of them displaying some "unable to login" message.
Right after that (quite pissed indeed) i decided to go the hard way, so i fully wiped and reflashed Oxygen 2.1.4. Guess what? Nothing changed.
I have to point out that i CAN login from the browser, so it shouldn't just me being idiot lol.
Now i'm really running out of ideas, any help would be appreciated.
I attached a logcat too, just in case.
Any suggestion?
heeey all,
this NOOB has got into a bit of pinch and hopes there is someone out there that might know the cause of it.
Last saterday a friend of mine rooted my Nexus.
After al that stuff was done, ive installed all my apps again including skype.
now here is the problem:
Before it was rooted it had all the contacts that i also have on the normal skype for PC.
After the rooting, i had to sync my contacts again, but this time i didnt get the contact list thats also on my normal PC, but instead i get contacts that are in my phone list.
I have also tried clearing the cache and reinstalling it up to 3 times, but still the same effect
I have tried all the 3 syncing options and none will get me my normal contacts as it used to be before it was rooted.
The version of skype that ive downloaded is 2.6.0.95
i hope there is someone out there who can help me with this problem, im getting pretty pissed of about it
For months I have hardly problems with this android.process.acore has ended message in my cm11 rooted fire phone installed nano GAPPS (but even with other versions of GAPPS the Problem stayed the same). I have no idea what to do any more, flashed and backuped everything again and again, deleted and restored the contact-datas the way it is discussed in many forums. The problem disappears while disabeling the contact-storage, but this way I cannot use my Fire Phone for phoning from the contacs anymore much less using contacts in Whatsapp . The problem seems to come along with WhatsApp and Facebook and its Messenger, but once installed the problem android.process.acore does not disappear when uninstalling these programs. Anyone got an idea? Thanks a lot for your help!
That's strange, has there been any recent updates to your phone?, i don't know how long you've been on cm11 but amazon recently stopped supporting Facebook who also owns whatsapp. I know someone on stock whose messenger and whatsapp stopped working and the tech on mayday had to relay that to them. Idk if they stopped support through an update or some other means since I haven't been on stock for a very long time. My advice would be to take a logcat and post the issue in the cm11 thread if you can
<romario3600> Thanks for yor advice. I've been with CM 11 from the very beginning and I don't really remember when the problem started, might be like half a year before.. That's weird, for any reasons that android. access. accore disappeared now after uninstalling both facebook and its messenger. Didn't know that the support stopped and this might have caused it. I got a solution now with a third party facebook version by apache. It's working well until I found a solution for my problem.
I have still no idea...
Now the android.process.acore is happening again. I uninstalled all the apps (facevook and it's messenger) that caused the malfunction. Now I got another app called Immonet that claimed the same rights with synchronisation owitg contact data. I uninstalled this app with all data and even wiped the old folders. But the error promt does not disappear anymore I did not find anything all over the net anyone having the same problems that I do.. Anyone got an idea how to solve this one out? I'm so much disappointed, hardly thinking of buying another phone but I like this fire phone with CM11 a lot.

As a last resort if you have the time and effort to put in, id say revert to stock and do a factory reset the normal way using the fire phone's recovery. That should at least ensure that everything is wiped and back to default. After that try downloading and installing CM11 again, don't cut any corners where you might have to wonder if something went wrong. Once the systems boots properly try installing the play store as well as messenger and whatsapp and see how things go from there. avoid rooting the device until you are sure things work
I got another completely new fire phone, rooten CM11 now from the latest FireOS 4.6.1..1. and at the beginning everything worked fine up to now. Now I got the same android.process.accore message again on this completely different device. As this problems is not very common I got now the idea that it might have anything to do with the synchronisation of google contact and it's permission management with these programs that have the rights to read sync the contact storage. But no idea ehat it might be exactly. A while ago I deleted all my contacts on the Google server. Is it possible that the synchronisation got a problem now with my different devices that were once registered on the server with not always having the very same telephone directories? How to solve it if my venture is right?
I just solved this (I hope, so far so good) on my Sony Xperia Z2 tablet. I cleared data on any and every app that had anything to do with Contacts. I went right down the list in All Apps. If it used contacts, I cleared it. That meant Gmail and Hangouts, Messenger, etc.
Before I did this, I tried to write an email and litterally had the error with every single letter. Since I did this, I haven't seen it once. I wrote out an email address on a draft email and posted 2 posts (this will be the third) here. No error yet!
Not an expert. Just a user and fellow acore victim, sharing what worked for me. Though I have been in tech support for 17 years (just more of a Windows PC tech really).

I will check this out on the weekend when there's some time for me doing so. Will tell you if it worked.
