[APP] JPM 3D Gallery - Galaxy S I9000 Themes and Apps

3D Gallery extracted from JPM for user still using Eclair 2.1
Improvements
Faster Image display and browsing speed
Instructions
download 3DGallery.apk
use rootexplorer
copy downloaded 3DGallery.apk to /system/app
Enjoy the new faster speed

does not work on i9000XWJG5 (black screen)

as with the email client port from samsung tab, maybe you have to rename original files to gallery3d.apk.original and gallery3d.odex.original and then place this apk file to /system/apps............

Works perfectly on JM1, tyvm. It's 10x faster than the Eclair one!

Stock JM1:
1. renamed original files as sugested.
2. placed the new apk in system/apps/
3. restarted phone
result => huge difference! thank you.

Works perfectly on jm8 with Tauytama. Didn't even have to rename the file. Thank you !!

Worked on TMN branded JM8. It's much faster now. Thanks
PS: I renamed the original files.

awesome, thanks a million, now i can get rid of justpictures
works like a charm on jm8 + voodoo

clear sense lockscreen for Cronos 1.7.1

hi guys,
i really liked the clear sense lockscreen on my modaco 1.5 rom so i've decided to modify my Cronos 1.7.1 lockscreen...
i just removed the 'arch' images from the appropriate *.png files in the
com.htc.resources.apk file
tested and it works...
just push the file to /system/framework and reboot
i hope some will enjoy this
*imho it looks really nice with LauncherPro and it works with JIT
**i had to repack the file because the *.apk exceeded the upload limits
***haven't tested it on other roms --> before you do test it on another rom,
make a copy of the original *.apk first!!!

Yay, worked like a charm. Thanks for the great support guys <3
I've updated this, but now the curved menu image is back and now overlapping the one that came with 7.1 and so the home/add icons don't quite fit properly.

Lockscreen_arch_top
bottom etc etc,if your folder id alphabetical when you open it scroll down to L
You dont really want to delete them, just photoshop them and erase everything then save it
Hi guys,
Good to hear the file works for everybody ...
I'm at work now so i can't check in which folders the *.png images are located but i will do this when i get home tonight!
*Feeyo thnx for creating the update.zip!!
Thank you!
Looks much better imho
hi peeps,
the files that i've modified can be located in these folders;
folder: \res\drawable-mdpi
- lockscreen_arc.png
- lockscreen_arcglass_bottom.png
- lockscreen_arcglass_top.9.png
folder: \res\drawable-land-mdpi and \res\drawable-port-mdpi\
- lockscreen_prompt_back.png
You can just open the com.htc.resources.apk with 7zip or Winrar and copy the *.png images to your harddrive.
Modify these files with an editor like Photoshop or so and remove the graphics
so it will leave you a 'blank' *.png image....
Copy the files back to the appropriate folders in your *.apk and push it back onto /system/framework folder on your phone.
haha.. i managed to modify the png files to my own design. pushed back in. everything works. except that the facebook count under my contacts becomes 0 now.. can't sync my facebook to contacts now.. any ideas?

[FIX] for the browser lag in JPK

Taken from the captivate forums:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803370
Just to give some info on what this is:
This is the 'libwebcore.so' file taken from the Galaxy Tab, and appears to be much better optimized than the stock one on the Captivate. The I9000 libwebcore is probably the same as the Captivate one, so this fix should work just fine for us too. libwebcore.so is the main library used by the browser to render pages (not javascript, just the html itself). It's the "core" library of WebKit HTML.
So basically: it is a very good idea to do this fix!
EDIT: Woops!
The browser is aslmost the only part where I didn't notice any lag on my SGS (rooted and lagfixed). By the way if it's relatevely safe I might give it a try. Thanks for the tip and info!
I screwed up my phone doing this
dxjp1 libwebcore.so filesize is 5,182,976 bytes, slightly different from the galaxy tab libwebcore.so of 5,187,072 bytes.
For info, the website browsing of dxjp1 was pretty smooth, even when flash is set to always on.
p/s : i uploaded the libwebcore.so in case others wants to try it too.
just unzip and place it in the /system/lib/ folder.
happy comparing.
Thanks, will try it later on
Well, I've loaded this up on my phone and set file permissions per the post and it seems to work well. Not sure how much better it is than the stock one but it's always fun trying something new.!
Thanks. It works on the ZUJP2 firmware. The file is EXACTLY the same size, but are different (I did an MD5 hash to check).
Could this work on eclair?

Sorry, but could anyone inform if I just have to replace the file using astro file explorer or that kinds of apps? Or it's necessary to create an update.zip for that?
And how cna I set the permission to the file?

use root explorer (available in the market) to replace the file. but before that, please make sure you backup your original .so file somewhere.
as to the setting of permission, root explorer would be able to do that, or alternatively, issue an adb command, which was found in the link posted in the first post.

Actually applying this is pretty trick on JPK because of the size though... old libwebcore is 1.5MB, while the new one is 5mb...

Not really sure how I ended up with a 1.5mb file to be honest! Sorry for that!
tried this with success, browser is pretty fast now ;-)
edit: Firmware JPK
Browser Steel
I copied it in and set permissions and now my phone vibrates and internet crashes...
I copied the old one in... and it crashed also ?? strange ...
any ideas ?
EDIT: Got it now ^^ I just didnt Reboot.
Will it help when using Dolphin HD or Opera Mini?

[LIVEWALLPAPER] ORIGINAL Livewallpapers.apk Nexus S

New port. It's the LiveWallpapers.apk from Nexus S, the ORIGINAL. Very smooth and zero problems. Had to decompile and fix some lines.
Back up and Delete your original LiveWallpapers.apk Then Push to /system/app with the usual permissions. Enjoy.

Thank you so much for your work - I will check this out.
One thing though - would it be possible to make a flashable .zip-file for CWM?

Just install as a normal .apk.
Its renamed to com.android.nexuss, install and get only the Nexus LWP, the others are equal to stock.
working perfectly, thanks a lot! been looking for this so much!
Dumb question - I have to be deodexed and rooted for this, right?
hello, I need a clarification: I have to rename the file from NexusS.apk to com.android.nexuss.apk before installing it? I also noticed that the animation does not start where I touch the screen, but a little to the right.
thank's in advance

-Reboot
-It will be there in the widgets!

Anyone notice that the weather detail view crashes when "force GPU rendering" is turned on in developer settings?
@OP: Thanks a lot for this useful app, Iv'e been missing during my review of the SGS3 on my portal.
Is there any chance you can port it over to non-root user? And if not, please specify why that would not be possible (need it for my article).
Thank you very much in advance and for your contribution to the Android society and other users as myself
thanks a lot it's look great

It's not in the OP but did you remember to fix permissions to rw-r-r? At least I thought you had to do this for any app you put into the /system/app folder. I always do and this works fine on my EVO LTE.
I can confirm this works on my Rezound.

GenieWidget fully themed for me.
Download from here:
http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=400713
Hum, i've just download and installed the htcmania's version (last post from Armin van buuren) and it's working in a stock and un-rooted galaxy s3.
Thanks
Just installed this on my Skyrocket using the Dragon stripped rom - worked great!
Are there different versions (there was one that came with TeamDRH's ICS for the gtablet, but it seems to be an older version)?
I tried to replace the one that was already there, but it won't let me change the permissions.
Not works on omega 9.0. Put the file in system/app, fixed permission and rebooted, but no widget.....
Edit: found, it was called "news and meteo", i was searching for Geniewidget......:-D
Won't install on Razr. Why does it need root?

[HowTo,MOD] increase Browser Max tab number S3

hi
this is a quick tutorial for those who need more tabs than 8 in the stock browser
It is very simple mode
to do it just follow next steps:
*Navigate [SecBrowser/res/values/integers.xml]
*change the limit as you want (e.g i will change to 40)
Code:
<integer name="max_tabs">[COLOR="Red"]8[/COLOR]</integer>
to
Code:
<integer name="max_tabs">[COLOR="Red"]40[/COLOR]</integer>
*recompile and bingo
For the people who are not familiar in decompiling/compiling here it is a ready made file
just place in system/app
if you are on odex rom, just delete SecBrowser.odex after placing my file and reboot
FOR SURE YOU HAVE TO BE ROOTED TO REPLACE THE FILE
download
