[THEME] Elegant Steel (JPK, JPM, JP6)

Hi.
I started to work on porting this theme
[WIP]ElegantSteel
he_stheone64 already ported it to Motorola Milestone and I took his theme as template.
ELEGANT STEEL – Milestone port​
This theme has not been finished yet, but it looks quite good already, so I decided to share it.
Themed:
framework-res.apk

Installation:
Recovery 2e has to be installed (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8238938&postcount=1)
download update.zip and copy to internal sdcard
reboot in recovery mode
chose apply sdcard:update.zip
LauncherPro is copied to /system/app.
If you don’t like LauncherPro you have to delete Launcher.apk from the update.zip-file.
If you have already installed LauncherPro from Market you have to uninstall it before flashing the update.zip.
I used Folder Organizer Lite to place the icons on my homescreens.
Known issues:
Might be that your apps are not listed properly in Market – Downloads.
Solution:
Settings – Applications – Manage applications – All – Market – Clear data

Thanks! Current version is JPA.. But next ROM will be based on JP6 only.. So will use it then! Thanks for the nice work

Theme looks great! Thanks for the port

I saw this in the Voodoo Doctor ROM and flashed it with LauncherPro installed. The result is that it doesn't look quite like your screenshots. What should I do now to fix this properly?
And yes now that I read your thread I realise I should have uninstalled it first.

hint:

i have jpo but in the app folder i don't see any .odex files?
and i hav ea custom rom, but update.zip won't install the launcher

Mine also won't launch.
I even tried pulling the TouchWiz30Launcher.apk from the update.zip and pushing it manually.

I don't have any FC problems with apps like barcode scanner or camera360 or stock camera app.
GPS conf is setted for "it" and not for "north-america".

Amazign ROM...you must try it...

Just updated the ROM to latest speedmod kernel K12H TINY_RCU without any issue.
This ROM performs really well in terms of stability and battery usage.

Can you release a patch for users from other countries? especially APNs. And can you give us a no-wipe version too?

You may also add on the Title the date on which it was last modified. Makes sense to do that. Add a version # too if you want to.
Say if I had gone through this thread 4 days back, I wouldn't want to again open it unless I find a change on the Title to reflect it.

Move apps to SD
Hi,it is a great ROM indeed.The only things that I noticed so far is that after you change the language to English some names in the application list remain in Italian
,the actual desktop icons names are changed to English.I installed ADW launcher an d now all names are set to English.It would have been nice if this could have been done without third party apps
Another thing which I don't know is how to transfer apps on SD card as the button move to SD is grey.Thanks for assistance

The RTL patch for Arabic users have been improved a lot.
The browser, maps and mail problems has been fixed!!!!
Now: you can do it yourself!
Instructions:
Extract the contents of the latest MIUI-Arabic-RTL-T9-Script-Vx.x.zip (attached to this post) to your computer.
Extract this 3 files from the MIUI Rom :
"libandroid_runtime.so" and "libwebcore.so" from "/system/lib"
"framework.jar" from "/system/framework".
Copy the 3 files to the input folder of our script
Run "Commands.exe"
Wait for the tool to finish working (do NOT close the CMD windows during the process)
Select your device for proper "/system" mounting with the flashable ZIP (Other in this case).
Choose version (you will be prompted to give MIUI version, Ex : 1.9.2-SGS2).

I have a problem however... I downloaded the Al-Jazeera font and applied it in the theme manager. However I feel like the Persian text using this font is not the way it's supposed to look!
Al-Jazeera font looked really beautiful using Madmack's MOD on stock SGS II ROMs.
But it looks ugly here! Kinda like original MIUI font for Persian text.
Tried restarting the phone, still getting ugly shaped fonts!
Any solution?

is there anyone else facing a problem with email titles in GMAIL? the subject field is shortened and the letters "kb" shows??

I didn't test this fonts, but your issue was reported on MIUI forum.

For Samy Roms look here, but it's also for deodexed Roms, for odex roms i think you should deodex framwork.jar, patch it and odex it again.

When I try to change the font to one of the fonts in your thread nothing happens and the font does not change.

Yes, the list of messages in GMAIL is affected by the RTL patch. It starts to show the two letters "KB" instead of the three dots "..." at the end of the line.

Sure it should be as to ensure your kid can have clear mind when jump from different built rom, otherwise ur kid will boring u by FC etc.

a better option will be backing up by titanium backup
you can backup your sms using sms backup pro
and if you already installed overcome kratos, you must have noticed that thepitbull already setup a guide for restoring and backuping which can be used for any roms.
I m downloading this rom.
BTW, since this was built from miuiandroid.com, why not asking them to host it as well ?

Titanium back works well also. I I mean loving this rim.

I can send Chinese message to my CDMA friend, no problem! I would guess it's your friend's problem or some unknown thing went wrong..

I would like to report that its working fine. Everything that worked in cm worked in this rom.
i don't really like the built-in browser might change it with opera.
ads unblocked, perfect!! i like it.

Uhm... do you mean ads are blocked or not?
Cuz if ads are unblocked they are there ... and in that case u are the first person I've ever heard of that prefers ads.
