Are there any developers out there who would be interested in working on a Sopcast port for android? I don't know enough about development to know how difficult an undertaking this would be but I'm sure the end product would be immensely appreciated.
I would love this. Anyone?
Up!!! Any great devoloper for this?
sopcast
really hope someone helps on this. its a great app and needs to be ported

The current CEntrilo version will only work on older versions of Ventrilo. The developer of CEntrilo has released files related to his software so that someone may take up the challenge to update his program. I have verified that the user name and password are still correct.
Let this thread be dedicated to building a working version of CEntrilo for 3.0 vent servers. We could call it "CEntrilo XDA" unless someone else has a better idea.

hi,
since i dont find some spare time to update CEntrilo, i made the SVN public.
http://svn.g3gg0.de/svn/default/trunk/misc/CEntrilo
username: centrilo
password: behave!
simply get the source, look how it works and create a new, CLEAN tool from it.
would be really cool if you can keep the core platform independent.
i also somewhen tried to make a symbian client, but could not get beyond
connecting and hearing some noise when people talk
cheers

Who is up for this challenge, and what can we do with the above files?
EDITED : Dead links
Vent on CE would rock!
Could just use my phone for games comms and not tie up my PC. Could even see names and stuff on the phone's screen whilst in-game, how neat is that??
Good luck with this project guys!
I fully support this project. I have been pushing in the Ventrilo forums for this for a long time. I will keep watching this thread for this program.
Dagummit!! lol I've been very active on a gaming sites vent server, thought this was a great idea, just to find myself waiting now.. lol Gotta love it!
Anybody actually working on this?
Does anyone know of any progress on this program? I am really interested in hearing how it is coming!
I don't think anyone is doing this.
But if someone would give me a brief tutorial link or something on how to program for wm6 I'd give it a shot. But no guarantee.
What about making an Xfire application for WM?
Im a gamer and it will really nice to have one app like that. I guess it will be similar protocol like Jabber.
Looks like the author of CEntrilo is taking a shot at getting his Ventrilo client working on the newest version of Ventrilo. He is asking questions, so maybe the able minded developers here want to take a shot at this and help him?

I could be talking to my gaming friends in Vent while I am stuck here at work on my phone, instead of posting this information here.
I am trying to get it to connect to my server. What is the mfcce400.zip file for?
Now that I look at the link I posted, this looks like a lost cause. G3GG0 is not going to make his program work with the 3.0 servers.
There is interest in getting vent to work on Windows Mobile. Why does nobody want to take up this impressive feat? G3GG0's code is right there!!!!!
Hell, create a version that works with Android, make big bucks on the Android market, at the very least.
I support this. Please someone take up this project.
+1. This NEEDS to be done, it'd be fantastic.
It also needs some Speex support. Please someone have a go at this!
Yes please someone
I agree, this really needs to be updated for 3.0.3.
will donate for this one
I also support this project, we all know it would be amazing to have vent go portable!

This has gone quite a long time unanswered, i dont think its going to change
I would like to update.
There is a open source linux ventrilo client that we can port to WM. If someone can link me to some WM programming, I would do it.
Open source linux client:
http://www.mangler.org
The whole protocol is documented so it should not be that hard.
Cheers
Please someone help this guy!
I know spoondo exists but it does not scroll and takes ages to load up....
can someone make something? or help me make something I can code in java. and C#
bump.
if anyone has done any dev with POOM then reply atleast. I will start developing an app in C# i'm a java coder but it's not miles apart.
some support from others would be appreciated.
I'll try to integrate the silvermoon interface too.. that would be sweet!
I'd need help from graphics gurus as i'd want it to have a manila type theme.
That's completely not user-friendly to use the default to-do-list. That would be great if you could really work through it.
Your work is highly appreciate.
yeah! sounds really interesting!
sounds nice! i'm looking forward for an app like that
awesome!
a couple of things:
1. if anyone has any source that would help then let me know.
2. to set expectations, I'm pretty busy but i will work on it as much and as fast as i can. but this is my first ever WM application so it may take a little while to get up to speed.
found this thread on the dev and hacking thread, may be of use to you

Hi.
I hope it is the right place to post this.
I was hoping someone could port this theme:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=574139
For the Desire or make a theme copying the style. Mostly opendesire or Defrost.
I really like the Buuf style as I use it in ubuntu and ADW launcher. But I lack the skills and the knowledge to make a theme or port it.
(I don't know which image files does what...)
Thanks in advance. And I hope you can help me.

No one. no
Well if someone could atleast point to a tutorial on what which picture file does what I guess I will see if I can do it myself. (And maybe a little on how it works. I have ubuntu.)
Hi
Unfortunatley you aren't going to get much advise on this here, I too like a theme but it is not for my phone it's for T-Mobile Pulse.
I too wanted my theme ported as I do not have the skills, I'm fine with photoshop but its knowing which images and xml code need changing. Also photoshop PSD template would be great.
But I guess there are no tutorial or anyone willing to create one. I'm doing my own research but haven't yet found anything useful. i'll let you know if I get anywhere.
Good Luck mate but I think we are on our own with this one
Thanks for answering. And think you are right about the "on our own" part. I guess I'll have to find a tutorial on which files to edit and then make my own theme. If you find anything. Could you please give me a PM?
Sent from something using the internet.
Just thought I'd let you know that I managed to port the theme I wanted, not too bad but is not perfect stills some issues.
Shame there are no PSD templates. please see thread.

The problem is that theme is ugly and childlike no offence but it is.
This puts people off porting themes as there will be only one or two people that will actually like it and use it. What rom are you currently using? I may have a go at porting it tomorrow when i have some spare time. Not sure how much of it i would be able to do. I'm new to all this stuff too!
Lol.
I know It's childish. But so am I
I am shifting between defrost 2.9a, opendesire 3.3.0 and cyanogenmod rc2.
So if you have time, you can deside.
Hi, guys.
I'm writing a bugtracking system for rom developers and I need someone who can make a good visual appearence for web pages using HTML/CSS. I've made some basic design already, but I'm not a good designer, so it's pretty simple.
That's why I need some help with writing good looking html/css code.
It's not ready for general using yet, so I'm not giving a link here.
If you can help then PM me.
Hi guys, I'm currently a senior Computer Science major about to graduate in the next year, and a half. I've been really interested in Android development, and wanted to inquire from the pro's and how they learnt to create, edit, and make such software. So far I haven't been exposed to many real world applications of programming, but any tips that could be provided would be very appreciated!

Glad to help!!!
These are awesome links, I've been recently reading Programming Android by Mr. Zigurd Mednieks. So far it's pretty good, and it's builds upon my previous knowledge of Java(which I haven't used in a while).
