Has anyone found a fix for not being able to download mms on CM7?
I can send just fine....but any time I try to download I get a download failed error....
Between that and spotty GPS, despite the ## gpsclrx # fix I've moved back to ::gag:: sense for the time being.....
sent with my dual screened Echo.....

Did you really send that from your dual screen echo?
And try reflashing the rom, updating the apk, or switch to another like handcent or go, and make sure your 3G is only when getting mms messages.
Ive tried all of your suggestions and still have the download was unsuccessful message when I try to download audio and video files.
Mine works again....which nightly are you using....I think 18+ was where it was working for me again....
Mmmmm, 18+

Is that a CM thing?? Because I have better results sending and receiving MMS with WiFi on.
I never noticed it wasn't working until recently. Cm7 is the bomb and I don't wanna switch back to sense. What do I have to do? Thanks.

email a pic to (your number)@pm.sprint.com and it should send that pic to your messaging
I had a similar issue with miui and that fixed my problems
if it doesn't send to you or comes back with an error then sign up at https://pictures.sprintpcs.com/login.do?cp=login
not trying to push it on you, just thats what worked for me
just tried both youe methods and no good. if i try to mms a photo its stays on "sending..." and if i receive a mms picture i have to download it and it stays on "downloading".
can you view the mms at the picturemail site?
Yeah but can't I just receive the picture directly to my phone?

So I started messing with my phone. And decided to go back to sense. My mms worked. But its been so long that I hate sense. I decided to do a fresh install of cm7.0.2.1 and wahla. I got my mom's working again. Thanks for trying to help me

Hi,
I am running ICS 4.0.4...using stock messaging or Go SMS.
Is there any way to fix the MMS over WiFi calling issue? It's awful. Even though group SMS works within Go SMS, it fails if I'm on WiFi calling, and my friends hate using GroupMe. Are there any APN settings I can change? a different MMS.apk app I can use?
I am rooted FYI.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig
Try Samsung's fix. Turn Wi-Fi on. Open gmail and send an email to yourself and attach a pic using the acct registered to for your phone. Once you get that, try sending an mms to yourself. You should get it fairly quickly.

Yes it's a permanent fix. 2nd level tech support at tmo told me about this a few months ago and its worked for me and my wife's phone several times when I've flashed a new Rom that mms over Wi-Fi hasn't worked.

Didn't work for me unfortunately..
This doesnt work. Mines just switches to 4g to send it then back to wifi..
Well sorry guys. It's supposed to be the fix from Samsung and its worked for me numerous times.

Same thing. This does not work..
Wifi mms has never worked. Been on a bunch of t mobile phones and it has never ever worked. Yes I can send mms while on wifi cause the phone switches to 4g to send

Strange how we're on the same hardware and have totally different results.

I believe the issue with GOSMS themselves been testing out MMS over wifi, so far i found it works fine with the stock MMS app and Handcent SMS. Going to try some other apps and see if they work.
Seems i may go back to HandcentSMS until GOSMS fixes it.
I have tried that technique but it failed.....

Thats because it doesnt work. Thats why these devs made it work with the stock DEODEX version or any other custom roms.. I want to see a video from the person that has "achieve" this. Because all I get is when on WIFI, and I send a MMS, 4G comes on real quick to send it and receive it then it switches off.

Im the one who originally posted the Samsung fix several months ago. I have used it after MMS over wifi not working on several ROMS after initial flash, including my current ROM Beastmade (odexed).
Here is your requested video. I sent an MMS to myself, and you can see 4G never turns on. Only wifi uploads/downloads.
Here you go!
MMS only works over data! If on wifi calling it will switch over to data to send and if data is off it will not send.

That's incorrect! If you watch the video i posted 4g never turns on. Also, i just tried it after turning data off and it went thru. If you'd like a friendly $100 PayPal wager I'd be happy to post a video showing it

Has Anybody been having issues with texts lately? It seems like my messages are not getting through. Maybe happens once every 10 messages.
Idk if it's my network or the rom but I think it might be the network.

I had similar problems with att settings on my phone and it was the APN settings that were off a little. Had http:/ instead of http:// for the mmsc and it wasn't downloading or sending. Not sure if you touched your APN settings but if you did double check them.
Has anyone had problems sending or receiving picture text messages? I can't receive them or send them... can someone help me.

I have problems sending and mostly receiving picture text messages using Handcent. I sent them an email. I think is how they set the APN.
Picture text messages work fine on stock message app.
Are you using stock message app? Check your APN settings for your carrier.
Note 3
no problems here with stock or gosms apps.
still running stock build, I'm on tmobile's network.
In my apt i don't get service, so the messages have the circle and are waiting to send. When i gain service it still won't send. A simple restart usually fixes for me and messages go through. Try clearing the data on messages app. Turn off phone take your sim out and put it back in and see what luck you get.

For me, 3rd party MMS apps only seem to send /receive messages after a reboot. Not sure what the problem is.

Gosms is not working for me.
Only SMS issue I have is when you open up a text from the lockscreen, you type in words and it doesn't show at all. Gotta exit out then go back into the text and it'll work.
I just started having MMS issues yesterday. I have tried uninstalling the update to Hangouts, clearing cache in the Messaging app and Hangouts, force stopping both, and clearing caches, reboots, toggling data, I can't seem to get an MMS to send or receive. Anyone else having this issue as of yesterday the 18th? It's driving me crazy!
From what I have seen this is a T-mobile problem as it has started happening with MANY phones.
I had this issue the other day. I ended up uninstalling the SMS app I was using which was Hancent and the issue went away.
I am currently using SMS Popup along with Chomp SMS and it appears to be working okay.
I'm having problems receiving picture MMS via the stock messaging app. I'm getting the "Download" message but when I click it, it keeps saying download failed. I've attached a screenshot showing what I mean.

I went through this issue for the longest time and finally found a solution that worked for me. I posted this in all MMS issue related threads.
Here is the post about how i was able to fix the issue of not able to receive MMS when connected to Wifi. You still have to turn off WiFi calling for this to work. This was never an issue on my GS3, my wife is using it and still has no problem.

I had the same issue and found that i had to recreate the APN and select ipv4/ipv6. Worked after that.
Here's a link to the solution (support.t-mobile.com/thread/61844)
