Hello! The amplifier in my diamond is broken. The audio sounds very thin and week trough the audio-port, but sounds good when i use my bluetooth-headset.
How do I make it original so i can use the warranty?
I have hard-spl and a custom rom, do i have do replace the hard-spl with the original one, or can i just install a original rom and still use the hard-spl??
Where do i find the orginal "hard-spl" in that case?

you can just download the stock rom provided by your provider, if you have bought it through him, or if it was with a generic rom, you can easily go to the htc website, give your serial number and it will give you the link to download the rom directly from the htc website.
It will flash the original hard-spl, radio and rom, so it will be original

Pretty weird. Are you sure i'll get the original hard-spl by doing this? Because I installed a original ROM by doing this, and then i installed a custom ROM again after a while, without installing hard-spl and it went just fine:S

actually i've downloaded 7 days ago the stock rom directly from the htc website and it has flashed the original hardspl 1.93, radio 1.08 and last diamond offical rom...

Hi, I am from India. I just bought HTC P3300 with MapAsia(MapKing) installed for my region.
I am looking forward to put a cooked ROM with wm6.1, but the problem is I want to backup my original ROM incase i need to take it to HTC for some hardware problem within the warranty period.
Is there any way by which i can make my PDA as it was on the first day even after putting a COOKED ROM?
I mean putting back my country specific original ROM.
Please give a note of help and also gv me the specific links to putting COOKED ROMS from scratch including unlocking(cid unlocking and all...) and all that as I am new to WM platform.

You cannot backup your rom. You can backup the installed programs and settings. But not the rom itself. But why bother? On the HTC site you can download the original wm6 rom.

Actually I had the same question. But since you say it's not possible I just ask where in HTC web site are the wm6 original roms? Are all languages available?

i think on HTC web site you need to register (club or something) to download a rom. but those official ROMs can also be downloaded elsewhere.
check the wiki upgrade section for infos on ROMs.

is there only one universal bootloader (spl) ? Or are the spls from branded phones (O2 XDA) different ?
if yes, where can i get those? (definitely not in this forum - I looked..)
or are the branded spls included in the original stock rom file and are written over the htc spl , when i flash the stock rom ?

Hi there all im new around here.. kinda new with the PDA phones also Diamond is my first one so.. sorry but i have just 1 question..
I read the tutorials mostly ... i know i gotta upgrade first a Hard SPL if i want to be able to install a custom ROM afterwards..
I want just to upgrade my ROM with the Official one from HTC site the latest one.. and i dunno.. do i need to upgrade the HardSPL in order to upgrade with the official ROM ??
And if yes.. what version of Hard SPL do i need to upgrade to first ? if i upgrade with Hard-SPL 1.40 Olinex SIGNED will the latest Official ROM work fine ?

Hi when i wanted to upgrade to new stockrom i could´t do it without hardspl
im using 1.24 it works like a charm..
When upgrading a manufacturer ROM to a newer release of the SAME manufacturers ROM, you don't need HardSPL.
My phone is danish now, Can i change it to english via official rom?
how can i get the rom from htc web site?

this will enable you to flash any rom afterwards.

Yes, if you want to flash different ROM (even official, like FR to WWE) you need HardSPL.

I just got my Diamond - from a best buy store in Michigan, It says in the back it is made in TAIWAN (so I guess it counts as an ASIAN rom ?)
1.I started with Dutty's Rom 3.3 Which I think is Awsome !
one problem I had was when I tried to put HEBREW support (MUI file and eyron keyboad file), from what I understand Dutty's Rom do not support languages?
is there a way to do something about it ?
2. I decided to go back to the Original Rom so I will be able to use Hebrew, but when I tried flashing it it didnt work.
-I did put the Unsigned HardSPL diamond OliNex !
-I tried putting the signed version
but I couldn't get it. The file Im trying to flash is :
RUU Diamond Asia HK WWE 1.93.831.158.1
IS THIS THE LATEST ONE? and is it the right one ?
what am I doing wrong?
it is an EXE file when I start it, it opens up the RUU and when it starts it just stays on the %0 and does nothing, so I have to restart it to go back.
another one I tried was:
RUU_Diamond_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.93.707.1_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship
but this one does the same thing !
what am I doing wrong ?

Normally a cooked ROM should work even better/faster than any original ROM.

Does the new hardspl include a overwrite protection freature? meaning that a new hardspl can't overwrite it?
