naztech vertex - EVO 4G Accessories

I bought this case from fommy dot com (i got the red and grey one and in my opinion, it looks better and protects just as well as the otterbox commuter, the tough case, and the seidio active case. I really like the two tone look because it brings a lot of attention to the red on the phone. As far as coverage goes, it gives you access to all the ports without any hassle or adjustments. just search for naztech vertex.

How are the buttons on this case? Are they easy to press like Otterbox cases? I might pick one up. They look very nice.

it reminds me of my Seidio Active Case 2 looks decent i might pick one up

The buttons are very soft not stiff like you cases

Just gonna bump this thread instead of starting a new one.
I've had this one for a week (black/gray) it's a nice case, not too bulky but seems to offer a slightly higher level of protection than my Amzer TPU case. The screen protector that comes with it is pretty nice and offers full screen coverage including the buttons.
That said, I'm returning mine to Amazon. There's a chip at the top of the plastic case when I first received it, that's the main reason it's going back but not the only one. The USB/HDMI ports are surrounded making it difficult to use cables that don't have a slim connector. My Blackberry micro USB cable won't fit although the OEM HTC cables will. I'm not replacing my spare cables to use with this case, and removing, re-installing the case is a hassle. It's not rocket science but enough trouble where I wouldn't want to take it off to transfer a flashable .zip or do a battery pull.
Other Considerations: the rubber attracts lint like a magnet. If you pocket carry, and you probably will because there's no holster for this case that I'm aware of (I could be wrong, I didn't look that hard). It may be worse because the rubber is black on mine, other colors may fare better. Also, the power button is kind of annoying to press. I use mine all the time to turn on/off my screen to save every drop of precious battery life that I can. The hard plastic shell goes right up against the button, making it hard to press. It's not un-doable, but like I said annoying.
Overall for the $11.99 I spent, I think it's an excellent value. If I wasn't a flashaholic, the cable access and difficult don/doff of the case would be less of a problem. I have no problems recommending this to others to buy so long as they know what they're getting into. My GF likes hers, and has no problems but she's never had to do a battery pull, has never transferred a file to her SD card and doesn't know what root is or what flashing means.
I'm going to order a Seidio Active, the ports seem to be more forgiving & there's a holster for it. Even though it's a little bit more expensive. I might have to order the woman one too, she says the pink Vertex is too dull.

[Q] Quality Cases?

does anyone know if seidio or otterbox have any plans on releasing a case for the trophy?
I just ordered one by Incipio. Hopefully it's pretty decent.
any update if you got your cases in. would like to know a good case.
I just ordered the Incipio Silicrylic case for my Trophy. I can't post the link to it because I'm forum n00b lol.
I'll report back when I get it, but there's a good chance I won't get it until I get back from taking a graduate course next week. I'm leaving on Sunday, and with the free shipping, it might not come until on Monday or later.
In my opinion it's on par with case manufactures like Seidio and Otterbox. This is my first Incipio product and i like it. Had it for over a week now. The silicone is nice and soft, doesn't attract too much lint or dust and it wipes clean better then other silicone cases. It's very tight fitting so theres no movement at all which is good when comparing to cases like the Seidio Innocase surface which will cause little micro scratches on your phone once dust or dirt gets between the case and the phone.
It also comes with a free screen protector which was a nice touch. Kinda expensive at $29 but definitely worth it to protect your investment. Free shipping was good, and it my case took 4 days to arrive from California to NJ.
Another thing to note is that the case definitely makes the buttons easier to press. They seem more defined now, volume buttons act like separate up and down buttons instead of one long rocker. Power and camera buttons are easier to find and press as well. The holes are also nicely designed for the headphones, mic and charger. Most hard cases I've used have slacked in that ares. the charger port is always undersized and most of the time requires you to take the case off to charge the phone.
I have 5 cases for my Evo 4G and if Incipio made a Silicrylic for that phone I would use it over the other cases i have hands down.
Thanks very much for the review and the pics! I'm also in NJ, and I ordered mine on Monday, so I'm hoping I get it by Friday then... I'm glad to hear the the buttons are more defined; the one review on their website said the same thing.
Looks good, think i might buy one. I usually dont case phones, but this one seems kinda hard to hang onto.
Okay, perhaps I'll get flamed for this because it does not fit someone's definiton of "quality" - but I wanted to share that I am blown away by the fit and quality of the Ebay $8.49 case I bought for my Trophy. It does in fact feel a bit rubberized and fits perfectly.
And - while playing, my son dropped the phone from about 3 feet, on the street. I heard the sound of something falling apart and had that sinking feeling. When I looked - the case popped apart, but the case and the phone are completely undamaged and after popping it back on, it is as if nothing happened.
I am okay with that!
The case I got was this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/HTC-7-Trophy-69...712636?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item43a77bbabc
I would hope there wouldn't be any flaming! That case looks good to me. I'm glad it worked for you in a time of need lol
I took a few photos so you can see the fit of the Ebay case I mentioned:
And the back:
I've always like the Silicrylic cases I've had for my other phones and since my local Verizon stores (corporate and agent) have absolutely nothing for the Trophy, I may bite the bullet and spend 30 bucks on the Incipio case. I just kind of wish the acrylic part came in different color choices for a little extra 'flair'...
Wow, I'm a dingbat. I see the different color options now... Not that many, I have to say. Perhaps I'm a little too anal retentive, but a blue on black color scheme would match my device theme.
Has anyone gotten anything from Boxwave? They seem to have some decent looking cases but they seem a bit steep. I've never had any of their products before so I'm unfamiliar with them.

Yeah, I have purchased some power supplies and cables from them. It was all a decent quality product. I would buy from them again.

I think I hate the Otterbox Commuter case....

Right now I am very unhappy with the case and I am most likely going to be returning it to best buy.
1) The rubber cut outs seem to be a little off.
2) Getting it inside of the plastic bracket is just not happening. It just seems to tight of a fit. Any advice here?
3) I'm just frustrated with it over all. Bad design? Morse than likely for me anyways. But I am sure for others it works great. The last commuter case I had has a flat lip to so that you can work the case on. It doesn't seem to be the same for the S3. Getting the buttons in with all of the flaps looks to be more work than its worth.
Oh well maybe the Defender ill be better.
mine fits perfectly... it's supposed to be a snug fit. Just put the case in one side at a time starting with the volume rocker and then push the power button side in.
Otterbox has changed the silicone portion of the case so it is more durable but also more stiff and rigid. I was able to get my case on without too much trouble but it wasn't as easy as other cases. The thickness of the silicone also makes button presses harder. This case won't be for everyone but I like it enough.
The Dark One
Check out the recent Trident Kraken thread. There is a video comparison with Otterbox Defender, that shows how the case installs/removes, I prefer the way the Kraken works, so I ordered it for $29.95, link in the other thread. (Make sure you watch the right video, the one of the iPhone Kraken, is an old trident design, not the current set up)

And yes the case is not for every one. This morning I put a ZAGG shield on until the Defender comes out.
Also look at the Incipio case, it feels fantastic on the phone and the buttons are responsive to a normal button press, I have no issues turning on the phone with only one hand and I'm a fairly weak guy

Only gripe with the Incipio case is that the rubber part is a lint magnet! Ill buy that Otterbox off you lol!
I didn't like it very much when I first got mine, but it's grown on me. It's hard to get in, but I think that's by design. The biggest issue I have with it is that the power button doesn't have very much feedback to know if I've actually pressed it. However, after a few days I've gotten used to it. I like the feel of the phone naked, but I like the protection of the case too much.
I tried just about every case locally available, and I must say this one beats them all hands down.
The only thing I don't like is the stiff rubber for the power button, but I'm sure it will soften with use.
Classy looking too.
I'm finding it a pain in the ass also. I thought my Epic Touch Trident Aegis was a pain to get on and off but this is ridiculous. Took me almost 15 minutes to get the thing on and 5 minutes to get off the first time. I understand it's probably because of the design, but still.
Also, I'm used to the clicky power button feeling of the Trident, which I don't get with the Otterbox. I might end up returning it and getting the Aegis when it pops up on Amazon in white. Or I may go with the lime green.
I looked at the commuter at best buy and thought it really ruined the appearance of the phone.Decided to go with the PT case with holster(Seido) and found it to be much nicer and offered a decent amount of protection

It stiff I agree but maybe you guys need to get some man hands.
So funny story of the day....
After i returned my case to best Buy I check my email to find that Otterbox sent me a case anyways with an email from a manager. Apologizing to me and told me the case is on them! Very nice of them IMO. This is why I love Otterbox. Best CS hands down!
So maybe I will give the case one more go. I just hope it doesn't kill the corners of my Zagg IS. I have had it on now for 2 days! My case should be here tomorrow or Thursday. Again when they asked if I would like another I told em no that I was returning it and that I would be getting the Defender if it ever came out. I never even asked to speak to a manager. Some things just wow me. To bad other companies are not like OB.

[Review] Sweet Armor Galaxy S3 Titanium Rainbow

Sweet Armor
Sweet Armor is a Korean company that produces premium metal cases for mobile phones. Currently, it has produces cases for three popular Android phones, the GS2, GS3 and the GNote.
Sweet Armor Galaxy S3 Titanium Rainbow
Packaging
The packing is not bad at all compare to SGP or other companies. As you can see in the pictures, the case protected by four soft foams inside the box, which I think is very thoughtful, as this is a very expensive case, no one would like it to be damaged during the shipping.
Inside the box, there are 8 Philips screws and a little small Philips screwdriver. The build quality of the screwdriver did surprise me a little while. The screwdriver is well built and it is magnet, which can certainly help your installation of the case, the screws are very small.
There is one thing that may be disappointed- there is no manual inside the box. You may say it is easy to figure out how to install the case but I think it would be nicer if there were a manual inside the box along with a USD72 dollars case.
Built Quality
The built quality of this case is 10 out of 10. The case is very solid and the colouring of the case is very well done. It is definitely one of the best cases in the world with no doubt. The edges are smooth and the cuttings are perfect.
On the case, there are two holes on the left side of the case, which allow you to put a string strap. Although I do not use a string strap, I think these two holes are very nice as some people may want to put a string strap onto a phone and most of the cases/ phones nowadays do not provide this.
Also, there are two button covers at the position of the power button and the volume rockers. These not only help to prevent dust getting into the gap between the phone and the case, but also help to make the buttons easier to access. I have no problem in using the power button and the volume rockers when I using this case. The buttons are sensitive and “clicky”.
This case does add some weight to the phone. However, the weight is very small. You can definitely feel the weight but the weight is acceptable. you would not feel the phone too heavy, in my personally opinion.
I have used a lot of cases in the past, from the cheap Ebay cases to SGP expensive cases but there is no cases that can give me the Sweet Armor case can give me. All the cases that I used in the past kept gave me a very “plastic feeling”. When I tried to hold the phone very tight, I felt like I was going to break the phone. But when I am using the Sweet Armor case, it gives me a totally different feeling of the phone. The case is very solid and when I try to hold the phone very tight, I do not feel any “plastic feeling”. The case gives an extra strength to the phone to against the force from the outside, and this makes me feel the phone more “solid” and steadier when I am holding it.
Although this is a metal bumper, it provides a little lift at the back of the phone, which prevents the back of the phone from scratching. So it does not have the common problem that most of the bumpers in the market have.
For your information, during the time I use this case, there is no reception/NFC problem for me.
However, there are some problems about the case, too. The headphone and the micro USB cut outs of the case are not big enough, so if you are using an expensive pair of earphone like the Westone 4R, TF10 pro, or other head phones, you may need to find a extend 3.5mm cable; if you are using a dock such as the Samsung OEM dock, or the Zen dock, you cannot use the docks when you are using the case unless you uninstall the case. Sweet Armor might needs to make a bigger cut out for these two ports in the next edition of the cases.
Talking about the installation of the case, it is very simple. The case only requires one screw at every corner of the phone (total: 4 screws). However, when you try the swap the SIM card or battery of the phone, you will find the case does not come handy. There is no way for you to do any of the things that I talked above if you forget to bring the screwdriver with you. Therefore, if you are a person who usually swaps your SIM card or change battery, this case may not suit you.
There is one more issue about the case, for the people with small hands, like me. The case will makes the phone wider and taller, so it will make it harder to use the phone with one hand.
Conclusion
Overall, considering the price of this case, I would not say the built quality surprises me, as this is what a $72 case has to have. The case is very solid, very beautiful and stylish, and very thin. It can certainly handle a few drops from a certain height but you cannot expect it can protect your phone from 2 meters height. For normal daily usage, I think this case does its job. And if you are looking for a luxury metal bumper, I think this is one of the cases in the market you should consider.
Wow it's a So beauty

Will these fit with an extended battery? They look like there's enough room on the back bezel for the extended cover to fit.
Too expensive for a BUMPER, I can't stand bumpers who are twice as expensive as some of the higher end cases with half the protection.

Shenit Bumper Case Review (LG Bumper Clone)

There have been a few threads linking to the Shenit TPU Bumper Case that have kinda died out because, well, it's no longer available on Amazon despite having been available long ago with a very future ship date. I ordered mine when the listing first went up on Amazon and it just arrived today! Here are my observations and judgments:
The Details
The case is made from two materials: TPU and a hard plastic. You can see the two materials in the photos on Amazon. It's done in a way that is still incredibly low-profile. The TPU covers all buttons, corners/edges, and ports (not the camera lens nor camera light, though). The hard plastic covers the back, the back corners, and some of the sides. The hard plastic is a *perfect fit* over the camera lens ring - from the back of the phone it is 100% impossible to tell the color of my phone.
Something that can be very clearly seen in the photos, and is the same with the official bumper, are the angles at which the sides have. This causes the feeling that the back edges of the phone "stick out". This seems to be a love-it or hate-it thing for most people. I'm torn about whether I like it or not - it definitely seems different than what I'm used to. That said, this was by no means a surprise for me and I expected it to be just like this. So in my Pro/Con list, this is what I'm talking about with the "back corners sticking out".
Oh, and it came with a piece of red velcro for some reason!
The Good
Overall, it's a very nice and snug fit on the phone yet it's not terribly difficult (also not terribly easy, in a good way) to get it off of the phone. With this case on the phone, I'm certainly not concerned with the phone slipping out whether pulling the phone out of a purse with something tugging on the case nor with skinny jean pockets or anything else. The feel of it is a mix of a TPU feel and a "soft" feel for hard plastic (think the feel of the back of the black version of the Nexus 5 to mean what I mean "soft" for hard plastic, not Quicksand case "soft"). Nobody will have problems with this slipping in and out of their pockets nor is it incredibly slippery either.
For protection, this provides the protection you would hope from a TPU case and not much more. As you can see in the photos, every corner and edge is covered by TPU including the four corners on both the front and back as well as the edges along both the front and back of the phone. The back of the phone, however is only covered with the hard plastic. Take a look at the photos and you can tell where the TPU ends on the insides of the case and where the hard plastic begins on the outsides of the case. This case might protect your phone from a drop and it might not - just like with all TPU cases. If you buy this and you play first-person shooter games where you can change your armor out, this case could be thought of as light armor or perhaps medium armor but no where near heavy armor.
It is definitely an attractive (and Nexus branded!) case that doesn't look like what many of the other $14 cases out there look like. As you can see from the photos, the case is molded perfectly to fit with the camera ring cutout. Speaking of the camera ring, the case is just a tad thicker on the back side than your camera ring so if you lay it down on the back, your camera ring is no longer a protrusion. This may have some implications for those of you with magnetic accessories for the camera ring but I can't really comment much on that. Ultimately, unless you look at the port cutouts or see my white speaker on the front, this case makes it impossible to tell the color of my phone - that's how perfect the molding is for the fit. The ONLY flaw I could find with the case's fit was for the microphone on the top of the phone. The microphone isn't perfectly centered in the hole but it's also not covered either.
The Bad
There are three primary problems I have with the case.
First of all, a quick browsing at the time I wrote this turned up quite unfruitful in actually identifying where you can even buy this case today! It is now listed as unavailable on all of the Amazon postings and even all of the eBay cases that look just like the OEM bumper case have seemed to vanish. I'm curious if you can even buy this case anymore as I couldn't find it anywhere now!
So here's the first knock on the case: The buttons have a mushy feel with terrible feedback on the power/volume buttons. We all know that cases tend to be Good, Meh, or Bad here and this case definitely qualifies as bad. Sorry!
And the last thing:The USB Port cutout, while appearing quite large, is unfortunately too small for a variety of USB cables. The first 3 USB cables I randomly grabbed didn't fit comfortable in the space provided although the fourth one did. So you'll have to find a cable that will fit in there if you ever need one and don't use Qi for all of your charging needs.
Pros:
Nexus Branded!
Plenty of color options and cheap (it was $14 shipped from Amazon)
Great snug fit with perfect molding to the phone
Feels like you hope it would feel from the photos
Very low profile - better than your typical TPU case (except for the back corners sticking out)
Plenty of room around the 3.5mm audio port.
Won't affect NFC, Qi, or radios
Cons:
Hard to buy (no longer on Amazon and the eBay lookalikes are no longer listed either)
Took a month to ship
Bad button tactile feedback
Many USB cables won't fit in the cutout for the USB port
I hope you enjoy!!

I just got mine today too. I got the blue one. Does it feel like pyramid shaped to you? Mine does. The back is thicker than the front. Buttons are not that bad. Better than some of the cheap tpus. I can still see some white bordering the camera in the back. Not too bad a case. But the shape is weird. Does the original case have that pyramid shape? If you hold it by the sides you cab definitely feel that the back is wider than the front (lip).

Yup, I commented on this in my more thorough review. It's different than I'm used to but exactly what I expected from the photos on Amazon (and Google's OEM listings/reviews as well). I still don't know if I like it or not. Like you said, it's weird.

If I compared this to the worst TPU case I've ever had (and I've had some bad ones) that was rated as a 1 from 1-10, then I'd give this case a 2. You're right, there is worse. But not much worse - it's pretty bad. Maybe your blue one has slightly different buttons than mine but mine is pretty bad.
For the white around my camera on the back, I can't see any white whatsoever. At least I don't think I can even as I'm trying to look for it although I guess it's possible that the white + shadow makes it blend in with my light gray case. I don't see it, though.

Uhh have you seen what most people have been saying about the official bumper? It's a low quality POS for the most part. Not worth full price, and even at $26 it isn't worth it with the peeling, staining, etc. Doesn't matter if it's from the play store. The unofficial ones might even hold up better, who knows, but the standard Google set with the official bumper case isn't exactly high. Besides, there's extra colors with the unofficial ones that some people might enjoy.
Anyway, if anyone still wants these ones I did find a link for super cheap. Of course it will probably take 3 weeks to a month to get to you, which is the case for most things shipping from overseas. But $12.99 shipped should make up for it. The Nexus logo is printed in a different color than the case on some of the color choices (just scroll down on the page to see).
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/For-LG-Google-Nexus-5-bumper-case-FREE-SHIPPING-front-screen-protectors/1612944308.html
God, it can't be any worse than the official bumper. I wish we had a better selection of actual bumper cases.
I'm using the Gray bumper clone for couple days. No staining (yet) , nice soft touch. Back panel is a bit bigger than front (as mentioned in 1st post).
I also have glass protector from Nillkin on, the case doesn't seem to push the glass.
Update: Now it has some blue from my jeans. sigh..
I may certainly be wrong but I'm beginning to think these unofficial cases are the same as the official ones, same manufacturing line and everything.

My Cheap Case

I ordered my v20 on Tuesday and needed a quick cheap case until I figure out what I really want.
I have Amazon prime so my requirements were:
Cheap
Prime eligible
Get here same day as the v20
More protection than plain tpu or ultra thin case
Not too bulky or hideous lol (obviously subjective)
Here's what I came up with.
LG V20 Case,Profer[Heavy Duty][Drop Protection] Dual Layer Armor Holster Defender Full Body Protective Hybrid Wallet Case Card Slots [Slim Fit]cover for LG V20(Pink) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYVIZZ1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_rjbfyb2RXF823
I decided to go with pink because I've been black or grey forever it seems especially considering I usually use a zerolemon and they're not much on offering *any* case options.
I'm a girl so why not try pink for a change? It comes in a few nice colors though so no one has to be forced into pepto bismal pink.
I have 2 very similar cases for my V10. 2 because one came already cracked so I got a second (free) to replace it. (that one also cracked with use!)
I decided to try this type again knowing the risk of the cheapness factor.
The case is 2 pieces that come already "assembled". I decided to pry them apart to make the case a little easier to get on the phone. The black is a tpu type case and the pink is a hard shell.
Personally I like the case. There are no fit problems. It does have the phantom button that a lot of the cases have for the battery door button but it's not in the way it's just unnecessary.
I don't have any issue feeling or pressing the power button. The volume buttons are clicky and I like that.
There is a decent raised lip on the front to protect the screen if I want to place the phone face down.
The case is also sufficiently raised so as to protect the rear camera hump.
The charging cable fits with no trouble. The opening for the headphone jack was a little too small for the cable I use in my car but it's a stupid fat cable that has been a problem with other cases so it's probably not an issue for most cables.
The pink color is not as "nice" as it looked in the pictures on Amazon. It reminds me of that nasty putty stuff the orthodontist used to make the molds of my teeth for braces a million years ago. lol But it's growing on me.
Overall I like the case and for a cheap case, (I paid 8.99 and added the 3.99 for 1 day shipping) it's pretty nice! I don't expect too much from it because of my experience with the similar style case for my V10. However, it is a slightly different design on the bottom around the ports which is where the v10 cases broke and I think this design will be less likely to crack the way the other one did.
Last but far from least, I included pictures after attaching my beloved flygrip. For once I decided to try a case that matches it and it worked out. I don't what I'd do without my Precious. I'm completely attached to this thing and couldn't imagine dealing with the "pinky rest" style of holding my phone again. It really is the best thing since sliced bread as far as phablet + one handed use goes. The kick stand feature is addicting. I get a lot of questions about it so I usually include it when I post any case pictures.
So there you have it. An awfully long review for a cheap case.
Here comes the pictures!
How easy is it to get cards in and out of the slot?
Great write-up! I like the looks of the case actually. You make me want to post pics of mine when I get them.

Oops! I kind of ignored that feature. Mostly because I don't plan to use it but I didn't like the look of the similar cases without the card slot so I figured it wouldn't hurt to have it and not use it.
To answer your question...
Getting a card in is not too bad. I'm able to slide my check card in stripe/top first numbers facing towards me. It slides in without too much trouble.
Getting it out is not quite as easy. Someone with fatter fingers or no fingernails would probably struggle with it. (on second test... My long thumbnail might actually be making it harder to get a grip on the card.)
Definitely only room for 1 card in there. I tried to get my driver's license in after I put the check card in and no way that's going to happen.

Thank you! I always think of posting pictures but half the time I don't get around to it.
I got the black one just arrived a few hours ago
