English Rom

hello to all ,
I am new in the Smartphone business and i gust got a Qtek s200 but it is in a French language,
What should I do to burn a new English rom ?
I would be glad if someone will send me an update with instructions on how to do it .

Sorry for the bothering but the section for beginners and the getting started is not yet functional, and I really don't want to destroy my S200 .
Another small question - what is the difference between ROM and Radio ROM ?

radiorom is embedded software for the gsm phone part of the device
and normal rom is the opratingsystem

So ...
So If my problem is That the OS is in french and I want to change it to English I need to change only the normal ROM ??

yeah the language is located in the normal os rom
but i sugest you read a bit in

as there are times when radio and os rom only works or works best if they are the versions shipped together

Best German/English Rom

Hello Guys,
i am wondering, whats the "best" rom for my diamond.
I would prefer a german one, but i would also take a english one
At the Moment i have this one: RUU_Diamond_HTC_Europe_1.37.401.3_Radio_Signed_Dia mond_52.26a.25.09_1.00.25.03_Ship
Than i have a second question:
When i want to flash a new rom on my device. Do i have to hard spl?

Where did you pull the version information from? And when & where did you buy the TD? My TD (bought at amazon.de) is 2 weeks old and has the version 1.37.00.00 (seen suring startup)

Whats meant with TD?
I think you mean the diamond?... i got it from T-Mobile.
The Version information is from the ROM i flashed on my device
But its an english one

i already tried searching, but my problem is, that i can't see wich would be the best fitting rom for me... i don't know e.g. why to take elites or duttys...

in each cooked rom there is a list of removed/included applications, so depends on ur need u can choose the best rom for u!
all the cooked roms r very similar to the shipped roms there is no big differences.
i recommend u to stay with the original shipped rom and make some registry tweaks to improve performance.

Hi! Realli need a chinese versions rom. Pls help!!!

Everyone, I just bought a Tp2 (t-mobile), I went to some chinese bbs, and tried some rom, but working on my cell not 2 good. and I still confuse about the language, Do I have to flush a rom with chinese? or I can just push chinese language into my phone?If I can how?
Is there some good people can made a chinese version rom 4 me pls? cuz I don't want to keep flush the rom, just want to get a good rom which is speedy, and every functions working ok.
And by the way,this my first time to post, really hope can get somebody's help!!!, I used to have a G1, but I lost it when I was playing basketball.. And I really want to learn how to put chinese language into the rom. Thx again!!! Here is my msn:[email protected]

update:question sloved, thx!

There is a chinese cab out there. i have it somewhere if i find it i will up it but it will make chinese readable on the TP2. i use it so i can communicate when i traval to china.

If you just want to input and read Chinese (but have an English language device) you can do what I do. I use Atom's ROM CHT with Manila 2.1 and additional PlumSIM 6.1 for both simplified and traditional input and it works great. Alternatively you can download the full Traditional Chinese version (everything is in Chinese) from HTC Hong Kong using my serial number HT989LL00828. If you want to input Simplified Chinese you still have to get PlumSIP.
Finally you could get CE-Star. But I am having problems with the display in some programs and the onscreen keyboard is tiny, so I prefer above solutions.

in this , http://ricky119.com/chinesesupport/ ,you can find many useful resource , Chinese(Asia Language) support for Non-Chinese ROM , i suggest you choose the one can support Chinese PinYin Seek in dial panel ,this is important and very very helpful .
as friend #5 said , it just support "input and read Chinese " only , i think is's enough
but if you want a 'chinese language WM device ' , i surmise you can't find it here ,you would find it in any chinese website ,such as pdafans , 52dopod...etc

sliding panels on wm6.0???

hi everyone, i recently buy an htc excalibur, and have tried some roms from here, but i found a oficial rom in spanish (im from mexico) and i want to keep it, but is wm 6.0 and dont have slyding panels i want to know if there is a way i can install them.

No they are part of 6.1 and not installable.

thanks for the answer, today i tried the rom, but it really sucks in conectiviti, the wifi is disconecting etc and i use wifi very much, i think i will go back to the cooked roms, is there a way i can take out the languaje in that rom and put it on another one???

HTC Qilin/ Dopod T8388 german rom needed

Last week I get a free Dopod T8388 from China Mobile, but unfortunately with a chinese original rom. I am a german guy and prefer english or german roms. I try to find any information about it here in the Forum, but cannot find anything. So I ask for some help, because the phone has a perfect hardware, and I want use it.

It will be difficult as the machine must be hacked. Unfortunately, this model is only available in China domestic market and supporting TD-SCDMA. I do not think there will be some expert who can help.
Anyway, I am expecting...

Thanks for your answer. It was clear for me that i must hack it before i can flash another rom. Maybe its possible to use a rom from the Touch HD ? An english version would be also good for me. I still hope someone can help me.

As I know it's distributed only in Chinese simplify.

Have you got any ROM for this model? I have T8388+ (dual SIM) and my camera don't run. I look for "HiCamera" files...Thank you! Please write: [email protected]
