What do you think about the speed of this compared to the other eclair and froyo rom releases?

Downloading as we speak, is this an update.zip or odin job?
If odin, what settings, pit etc please?
Thanks
Doc, nice one mate.

Didn't look into zip yet, but how do we install it? Unzip and odin (I assume not), stock recovery or cw recovery?
Oh, and thanks, as always =)

Update.zio, it will install the rom, kernel and JPM modem, and wipe all (not sd..).
It uses redbend so a bit strange text will appear when flashing.

If you have the 3e stock jph recovery you need to revert back to 2e

Word on the street is that JP6 is newer/better than JPM (although only a day apart)...will a JP6 version of this be coming?
I'm running stock JP6 right now. What would I need to do to install this ROM? Just flash update.zip from recovery?

Thx for awesome work dude!!
Is that exactly the same version as the source code released today but rec. mode ready ??

Can i apply this zip in stock Eclair recovery from JH1?
The update.zip didn't work for me "update aborted"
/qsec

Can the SuperSlim of JPM be compared to the JPK SuperSlim?
In terms of what has been removed?
I really love the super cleanness from JPK SuperSlim.
And hats off for your quick work! /thumbs up

[THEME] Gingerbread with Keyboard /new 2.2.6 Market for CM 6.1.1 Stable

Here my new Theme for CyanogenMod 6.1.1 Stable!
Many users like the new Gingerbread style so I created
this little Theme.
For notification color,clock color etc.use attached "xml.file".
Extract from zip file and copy to /sdcard/CMTheme) then sellect in CMSettings.
If "CMTheme" folder not exist, make a folder on your sdcard called CMTheme
put the "xml file" it in there.
GO to setting>CMSetting>User Interface>Tweak extras>Select a Theme.
Version 1.0
- Initial Release
Version v2.0
- Added 2 new Nexus S LiveWallpapers, but Microbes have little bugs
- Launcher support only Portrait mode
- Many backgrounds added
- Modified some images
Version v2.1
- Music apk themed
- Now with themed ADW Launcher and landscape support
- New Android market 2.2.6 (not 2.2.7) but better then nothing
I have no problems at the moment.
Hope you like it.
Enjoy

Don`t know if this helps.
P.S.You can find a Gingerbread keyboard here,too.
Maybe it works:

It didn't help, but I found the reason.. I chose Croatian as input language, now when I choose English US it shows..
Thanks again
when i extract out of all the files which file do i copy to cmthemes
Only the xml file from attached "Gingerbread.zip"
Don`t extract the Gingerbread CM 6.1.1 zip!

This is standart Phone.apk from CM7 ROM just slightly modified. So any other dialers and functions should work like before. Anyway I don't use QuickDial, so I cannot answer for sure.
Zip isnt compatible with new clockworkmod recovery...
So i copied over using root explorer... FC loop and a reboot later, it looks like an old dialer, nothing like the screenshot

[MOD]CRT animation + Overscroll glow for stock deodexed XWJVH+XXJVO+XXJVP

I figured I should post this as I think there probably are others who don't want a custom ROM or a whole theme but still want the CRT screen off animation and the Overscroll Glow effect on their Gingerbread.
Here's a preview of the Overscroll Glow effect color:

Installation:
Flash zip from recovery.
If you don't like the color, the easiest way to change it is to use UOT Kitchen. Select "Glowing" -> "OverScroll Glowing" -> the color you want. Under "File upload", upload the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from the zip.
When it's done cooking, you can either flash the zip it gives you on top of my zip or extract the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from it and replace it in mine.
Thanks to dhiru162 for Overscroll Glow sources and _JKay_ for the CRT screen off zip.
This is only for DEODEXED JVH, JVO and JVP. (Check [Ramad]:s thread for a stock deodexed ROM).

This won't work on odexed roms and you'll probably get either bootloops or frameworks crashes if you try flashing it.
can anyone tell me how to use these on stock JVH rom then?
This is exactly what I needed.
crt +glow effect only.
I just flashed to JVH yesterday (stock) so I guess mine is odexed.

Download the deodexed stock ROM from here and flash it. After that, flash a kernel that has CWM recovery (not sure if ROM Manager works) and install the zip the from the recovery. If you don't want to flash a kernel you can also extract the files from the zip and manually copy them to the correct folders with Root Explorer.

Hi,
thank you so much for the direction.
Can I ask you if there's any downside using deodexed stock roms?
any security issues or stuff like that?
it's just that I've never used deodexed rom before and want to make sure it's safe

The only downside is that a deodexed rom is slightly slower than an odexed one but the difference is pretty minimal.

As I wrote in the message, this works ONLY with DEODEXED roms. If you have the official stock rom installed, you have an odexed rom.

Here is a good explanation of the terminology. You can find a link to the thread with deodexed stock roms in the main post.
i kinda know whats the diff between odex n deodex,,, but i still dun get the meaning that i have an odexed rom,,, i m sorry cos i m a new "flasher" which had been using stock rom from Samsung HK for a year,,, so i dun really know the "rom thing"

If you know the difference between odex and deodex then you shouldn't have a problem understanding what an odexed rom is.
But basicly all official stock roms are odexed, meaning that you have .odex files in your system application folders.

This is just a quick way to switch between bootloaders. Most people are downloading ~150MB to upgrade to downgrade there bootloaders. This is a small 7MB for GB & 8MB for froyo download to help you flash just your boot loaders.
An example, you on froyo and want to install a custom CWM gingerbread ROM, you can now just download the gingerbread bootloader and flash it insted of flashing a full ROM.
Or, if you on gingerbread and wish to flash CM7 you need to downgrade, again insted of flashing a full ROM, just download the froyo bootloader and flash that
Downloads:
EZboot-Froyo-1.0.tar.md5 - Froyo
EZboot-GingerBread-1.0.tar.md5 - GingerBread
EZOdin
Instructions:
Remember this flashes the bootloader, if it fails it means you might be trouble.
Download the right version from section above
Reboot your phone into Download mode
Connect your phone to computer
Run EZOdin
Select EZboot-Froyo-1.0.tar.md5 or EZboot-GingerBread-1.0.tar.md5as a PDA file in EZOdin
Check the "Phone Bootloader Update" checkbox
Click Start
Wait until phone reboots and make it reboot into Recovery
Flash a custom CWM ROM

First your EZbase saved so many when flashing to MIUI/CM7. Now this makes things even easier.
What bootloaders does each have? from what releases... Thanks.

Stupid question:
The CM-installation instruction says that you have to be on a rooted froyo with CWM.
Are these requirements fullfilled by flashing the EZbase?
And does this mean I only have to make a nandroid backup, put the newest CM7-zip on my sdcard, flash EZbase, go to recovery and flash CM/ and... done?!

This is bootloader only, so no ROM/no kernel.
