Hi folks,
After replacing my screen and digitizer I have to push very hard on the screen to get a response?
Anyone got any idea's?
Is there a fluid/greese that should be put between them?
Cheers
Shaun
I believe there are some sensitivity settings you can adjust to help make your screen more responsive, but this seems like a hardware issue more than anything.
Replacing digitizer
Hi Shaun,
I was wondering what tpe of adhesive you used to replace the digitizer. Mine had a sort of double sided tape to hold the digitizer in place but it can't be re-used.
Thanx,

I recently replaced my back housing and when I was trying to pry the housing out, I pryed the digitizer instead and pushed the glue inwards creating the air bubble shown in the picture. It's not really a big deal but it's one of those little things that really get to you.
Is it possible to do something with this? Is the digitizer statically attached to the LCD panel, if so I believe there's the possibility of removing the glue and pushing the air out. I want to verify this before doing anything else to make sure that I won't do further damage (or add more air bubbles) to the device.
I would greatly appreciate the help.

anyone?
I've just dropped my phone, cracking the glass. The phone works and unlocks, but I can't unlock the phone with my fingers, only with the pen (for example, I've been able to connect it via AirDroid just by getting lucky with where I'm pressing with the pen, and using voice commands).
My question is, to replace the whole screen, do you need to do any of that heatgun madness? The replacement screen I'd be buying from Amazon or elsewhere has the glass already attached. So I'd imagine it's just some prying and a bunch of screws, but no glue, yes?
It will depend on what you are replacing. You said that your glass was cracked. If you are replacing just the glass/digitizer ($20) it will require a heat gun. If you are replacing the whole display assembly ($200+) you will not.

Awesome, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you d3cypher!
Hello all,
I recently replaced the glass on my Note 2. After removing all the glue on the LCD and replacing the double sided adhesive I put the glass back on and it looks great!! Unfortunately the touch now glitches out and sometimes shuts off completely. I then have to hit the power button and do the unlock screen, then the touch works again for a while. I have found the pen to be a lifesaver when I don't want to cut power again and again.
Now I figured I'd have some sensitivity loss due to the LCD glue being gone but should it be this bad? Anyone else replace the glass and have similar issues? Any advice from anyone?

It seems two parts have not been combined together tightly.
You'd better try to replace a new one or the whole complete LCD screen with digitizer and frame.
Hi
Accidently damaged my front frame when removing the display assembly.
Wherever I look, I'm unable to find anyone selling the front frame. Anybody here have a clue where I can get hold of one?
bump, I need one too.
Anyone know where to get one?
happened to me too and can't find the part anywhere. so instead I installed a screen protector and put my device in a bumper style case.
Do you mean the shiny black bezel surrounding the screen? I literally JUST dropped my tablet and the bezel cracked at the bottom left corner right after looking at this thread
Does anyone know where to get the part and how to replace it? It doesn't seem too hard to replace, it looks like it might be held on with adhesive and wouldn't require disassembling the tablet.
