I found out that the Sprint store has the hdmi cord for the video out feature on the evo!!
sent from my HTC evo
Lots of places online sell them for a lot cheaper than Sprint. I know ebay has them for very cheap. I bought a 10 foot HDMI-microHDMI cable on ebay for less than $15....

Was there a time they didn't have it? It's an accessory for their phone, it's always been there.

It wasn't available for like..a month.
Monoprice has the best prices on them.
Sprint price for their relabeled Chinese crap: $500
MONSTER Cable: $250
Sprint cable, from eBay and without the Sprint/HTC label: $15
Better cable from eBay: $10
Have fun wasting your money.
(In case you can't tell, yes, this is an exageration, but the point remains the same.)
I think this is the right cable from monorpice:

i had the same problem with my monoprice cable. Went to their site and did an rma, they send me a new one for free and told me to keep the old one. the new one works much better. With a connector that small, if its off my a few micrometers it could make it loose.

Thanks... i just submitted an RMA. I tried the cable on another EVO and had the same issue, so I'm pretty sure it's the cable...

I just want to see if it would be possible to use the HDMI cable so you can see the internet bowser on the TV. Messages, pics, or NES and SNES would be nice to. I just spent 30 bucks for this cable and the only thing I can do with it is watch my videos I made or watch youtube. Does anyone have any Ideas to maybe make this work?

monoprice doesn't have micro-HDMI yet. They have MINI, but not MICRO.
Also, haha... bowser.
Ok just in case anybody cares, got one of these on order from Overstock. Decent deal I'd say, 6.72 including shipping.

There's nothing to correct. The evo uses a micro (type d) connector. The cable on overstock is a mini (type c).

monoprice will have more in stock in the first couple days of september, cheapest around. I'll probably pick up a micro usb cable while I'm at it.

I bought one here if you like ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220685241015&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
It's about 2ft. and says its OEM Samsung. It does look like the cable that was in my t-mo Vibrant box only shorter.
Purchased on the Thur. 18th received Mon. 22nd.
Hope this helps

Monoprice.com sells them pretty cheaply but if you need one now, the T-Mobile stores (Limited / Corporate - not sure about the Kiosks) have an L-shaped USB DATA cable for $10.
BEWARE! Some USB cables are for charging only. It has come to my attention that certain stores such as Radio Shack, etc have been selling $20 USB cables that do charging only. This is likely not intentional, it's just due to inexperienced staff.
For example, this caused someone to come to me and ask why they couldn't mount their phone to their computer. Well, you can't if the cable doesn't support it. Make sure it's a data cable and it will do both before buying.

if you need one fast, try going to the tmobile store and ask if they have any extra vibrant usb cables (or any other micro usb cable) in the back. say you would pay for it,but u need it quick because your cat chewed yours up. usually they wont charge. worked everytime for me. i did it to get headphones and cables for 3 yrs =)
tmo has them for 15 bucks. just bought one the other day. it wa n the mytouch slide section - dont matter its the same cord.

Why do you want to do that. go to the market and by webshare and you can sync your phone with music and movies with all the gadget via wireless router.
I buy all kinds of USB cords off of Amazon. I bought 4 BB OEM cords for 60 cent a piece and they all shipped to tether for 2 bucks (they were only 3 feet though) . And I got a 6ft cable for 2bucks free shipping. I would try there first. I ordered them all on Monday got them by Wed. The Bb cords came from NJ not sure where the other one came from.

They always sell cellphone stuff; I personally got one from them very cheap.
Hey guys since the new kernels coming out with full hdmi, I think I might finally bite the bullet and buy a cable. Anyone know of a.good cheap one on amazon? Or anyone have any suggestions for some? I know mono price normally has good cheap cables. Any help is appreciated.
I was going to suggest mono price.. they have mini hdmi to hdmi for about 3 bucks...
I also would suggest just getting the mini hdmi adaptor piece... http://www.google.com/products/cata...=X&ei=iIKDTcqmMoGqsAPepvX_AQ&ved=0CEoQ8gIwAg#

Why get the mini adapter when monoprice has the Full Size HDMI to Mini HDMI in stock?
If this is for the HTC Evo 4g, then the correct plug is Micro Hdmi and not mini.
http://www.monoprice.com/products/search.asp?keyword=hdmi+micro&x=0&y=0
Pick your size. Got mine 2 days later. Works great.

This is correct, I wasn't paying attention when I quoted above. Either way it's still dirt cheap at Monoprice.com and a waste of money to buy an adapter.
I just ordered mine. Hope they dont break too easily

Monoprice cables are great quality, plus they have a lifetime warranty.
do you need to get the high speed cable, or will the standard speed work ok?
my couch is 10 feet from my tv, so I need a longer cable, which only comes in standard speed..
thanks
This one works for me:

ok, so the adapter doesnt fit snug.....it works but,its wiggely. i would say go with the cable.igot one of those two.works like a champ.both with two day shipping for;$16.
Hope it works best!

15 ft away from the TV or LCD will be nice.
Thanks!
Can someone recommend where to buy the proper cable for connection to the Xoom so that one can connect USB devices? I've bought two so far, and the first one was the right connection to the Xoom, but didn't have a tight enough contact point. The second one did not supply enough power to the device.
TIA
This cable works great. Mine came yesterday.

I can't say which one to get, but I can say: do not go with the ones at meritline.com. They say OTG, but they're just charging cables. (followed someone's advice from another thread and now I'm waiting for one to ship from ebay)...
If you want it fast, and don't mind the price, you won't go wrong with the original Motorola cable: http://www.store.motorola.com/Camer...olor_map,price,size_name&searchRank=salesrank
+1 Using the Motorola cable with no issues. It's expensive but the convenience of knowing it'll work and shipped fast was worth it to me.
