If you have a task manager/killer try removing it....that is a common cause of android fc's

The only force close I've gotten so far is by using bettercut to change Icons.
No force closing been using it for a while and I am very happy with it

Now that I see someone mentioned that launcher pro causes force closes. Can anyone verify that? I'm using launcher pro plus from day one of owning g2 so I don't know if it would do the same on launcher 2. But I have also been using pro plus on my previous phones without these problems.

I didn't install many things on my phone and it has been working fine for a little more than a week and then 2 days ago google voice began force closing absolutely out of no where... and it still isn't working properly.
I'm using adw launcher...the launcher works fine, its just my apps that FC from time to time...I don't know why,all my apps are up to date and I'm not using task killer

The only app I've really had a problem with is ironically the xda app I'm using right now, primarily when I open it after an existing session.

Hey guys, I was wondering if there's a way to force open the g2's soft keyboard so i can play this game: http://www.driftgame.com.au/ or is there an arrow key alternative. Any ideas?

Try holding the menu button. That forces it up for most things.
Ive already tried that, I think its only for the droid. Any more ideas?

most android phones can pull up the on screen kb by holding down menu. but nope, not the g2.
I have noticed that the menu doesnt bring up the keyboard either. Kind of agrevating to say the least.
Well anyone any ideas?

Just wondering if there is a way to get my restored apps which I restored using MyBackup Pro to show up in the market. I know sometimes you just have to wait and they will show up but it has been a few days since I restored them. Is there anything I can do to make them appear in "My Apps" in the market? If it helps I'm running NB Mod 2.15 ROM. Thanks.
Did you get my PM bro???

Try QuickMarketLinks found in the market. I've never had to try it but heard it works well.

Why does the xda premium app force close? As soon as it gets to the latest list it freezes and force closes. Any ideas?

I've tested the app on a multitude of devices, and it force closes very, very rarely. Naturally, the app works best over WiFi, and is much more stable on a newer device with a 1GHz CPU or higher, plus at least 512MB of RAM. The Droid Eris unfortunately is a bit under-powered.
I have been purchasing several tablets as of late and have found a common problem with xda premium and free app on tablets when you log in then leave the app it force closes on exit then dumps all user info... happened on Huwaei, Viewsonic gtab for sure... just letting you know. Any help would be appreciated.
Anyone else seeing this?
Today whenever I press the messaging icon I get the last app I had open instead.
Very strange.
just go back that's happened with my Mytouch 4G

I've seen this with Google Music. I've force stopped and cleared data but the problem randomly comes back and I dont know whats triggering it

For me, the best working solution is to press multitasking button and swipe away all the apps.

Thats what i did too
At first i tried to open my music, it opened my google voice instead :/ but thats the temporarily solution i suppose :/
This has not gone away. Even if I try to access messaging from the app drawer or recent app list it doesn't work. Hitting back cycles through other apps, does not help. The only way to access messaging is through the people app or through a notification.

Try rebooting it?
Like someone said, swipe away all the recent apps.

I received by note 3 2 days ago and some of my apps keep force closing. Has anybody else run into this issue? I'm currently all stock

I've been running into the same issue mines all stock as well. It happens randomly and just becomes a blue screen, the only way I get out of it is to restart my phone.

I've had tons of freezing issues, on the lock screen, force closes with apps and unresponsive home button. I'm on my second Note 3 and starting to think it's poor execution of software. If it helps, I disabled my magazine and a bunch of samsung apps. If you are in app launcher and click and hold an app you can 'disable' it and essentially works the same as Titanium Backup Freeze method (without rooting ofcourse).
I've found that to help a bit. I don't know if the lock screen freezing was due to the s view case just yet. But I'm trying to hold out getting a third replacement if I can.

So you were able to have your phone replaced because of this issue? Was it through T-Mobile or Samsung?
