Is this possible?
If you can help then please reply!
Yes it is: http://www.markspace.com/missingsync_windowsmobile.php
Doesn't seem to sync calendar entries properly, but hopefully that'll be ironed out with a patch.

Cheers Lewisham!
I was hoping there might be a cheaper solution.
Thanks for your help!
Anyone else got any ideas?
There's nothing cheaper I'm afraid; that's the software that Apple officially recommend as well.
Chris
Ahh I have got hold of PocketMac and so far so good!
I am just synchronising my data now - I will let you know how much conflict is created.....
Hi
I am a new boy at this stuff so any help would be good
I have looked at the previous postings but can't find an answer that I feel I fully understand.
I want to get GPS for my XDA 11s I would prefer blue tooth so that I can use it whilst walking and in the car but, from what I have read if I use this method I can't then use a hands free blue tooth earpiece is this the case? What would be the best solution?
Also there are a lot of past postings about what is the best blue tooth earpiece but I can’t find any after June ish. What will work well? I understand my old plantonics m3000 will not work. Has any form of survey been done?
My last question. If I use GPS with say Copilot 5 am I correct in thinking I can't use speed camera software at the same time? What would be the best option? I like the idea of a good post code search as well as by address.
Thanks in advance for any help and apologies to the seasoned users for any repeats on past items.
Cheers

I know Tom Tom won't let you use an earpiece at the same time. I use TomTom. I believe the term is "gummy drivers" and it won't let any other bluetooth devices function.
However in WM2005 I notice a GPS extension that shares out the GPS to other applications. So perhaps this'll solve the problem! Anyone actually know?

begginers issues
Hi Lewis
Thanks for the reply. From the small amount I have read I thought the wm2005 is not ready for the XDA11s yet. If it is how you do get it and is it something a beginner can install (very simple).
Cheers

Sorry to annoy everybody, I have had my M2000 a while now and there are a few things I would like a hand with.
1) I unlocked the M2000 and am currently using it on O2 pay and go. However I cannot use GPRS, if anybody could help me out by telling me settings and/or how to connect properly I would be very grateful!
2) I am running Windows Mobile SE Version 4.21.1088 (build 14132) are there any upgrades possible at all to be able to use Windows Media Player 10? I don’t mind upgrading operating system as long as it doesn’t cost too much.
3) Is there a way to back up just my text messages from the M2000 so I can have them saved on my computer and/or my 1 GB SD card?
4) Finally (sorry about this) does anybody know why sometimes when I make calls I can’t hear the dial or the person talking but they can hear me? I have checked the volume (I'm not that dumb) but resetting it is the only thing that works, which is pretty annoying.
Thank you very much for your help. I know there are probably a million listings with these answers but if you could direct me to them or give me your own verdict I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks again.
1. do a search in the forum maybe excluded to the networking it forum
search string should be something along these lines "gprs AND payandgo"
or something like that
2
read this

3. again search for something like "SMS AND backup"
Thanks for that Rudegar, if anybody else can help me out on this one too, I would really appreciate it. You gave me a link to download WM5, are you currently using WM5, and would you recommend it? I have no programming experience really and it looks quite complicated to install so much so I don’t know what some of the files are etc. will there be an easier version where all you have to do is click a button and it will auto install? You’re the clever one here so ill do whatever you recommend, ill take your word for it. Thanks again Rudegar, if anybody else can help please do.
Thank you.
I have had my M2000 for about 2 months and for about the last month i have also been have the same problem as number 4, where people i call can hear me but i cant hear them, when i fiddle with the volume slider on the side i can sometimes (only sometimes) hear a split second of sound from the other person, its SO annoying having to reset
could be a radiostack issue
maybe an upgrade of it will fix it
also had some issues with my xda2 when people call it sometimes take awhile before they can hear me
the cause of that is bluetooth tools which seem to be trying to direct my call to my bluetooth headset
dont matter if i have a bluetooth headset though it still try take about 10sec before they hear me then
Hmmm, glad to hear I'm not the only one with that problem. It is really annoying though having to reset it when i need to make a call. I'm worried about using a radio update as I don't have a clue about who has made it and what it will do especially if its a con. Where can i go about getting a trusted Radio update? Talking about updates, is there a ROM update available?
Guys install this cab file it will fix your problem..
Or while you don't hear the other party just turn on the BT then turn it back OFF this will solve..

Big thanks to everybody who has helped me out so far with this and for anybody elce if you can help me, please do.
Thanks.
Anyone know if it is possible to remove a cab file like this after I have installed it? I've loaded it and it seems to have screwed up my pocket pc.
Thanks,
Cian
PHEW!!
I'm so glad i didn't install that cab. I was weary to start with and I'm glad i didn't it appears to be some sort of intruder on a pocket PC which jumbles up the settings. Just for anybody elce who is about to download it, take some advice, DONT PLEASE!!! I'm trying to upgrade my ROM but orange are crappy and dont supply ROM updates yet. Ill try the I-Mate Update. Fingers crossed. Thanks again to everybody who's helped me out!
Hey you trend setters, me just got me an XDA, what a machine, pitty I still don't know to use it. Does anyone know how to make the thing work apart from a phone? I mean, it's an awesome unit, but can't connect to the internet and don't know how to make the maps work I downloaded. So if anyone cares to assits not just a newbie but somewhat of a dummy, man would be very pleased..
Thanks
Jerry
Have you tried using the autoconfig program? Its in the Programs menu. It should set up your phone for GPRS with Vodaphone.
Hi. I have just bought the T-Mobile MDA III, the phone and everything work just great and i have updated it with all the latest files, but i have one problem with it.
Every so often the explorer just keeps popping up as though its trying to access the internet, i have tried to change settings and everything but it still does it. Can anyone please tell me whats causing it? someone said it could be settings but i dont know which ones. Someone else said it could be the explorer button that is fuailty.
Just to add the phone works ok even if the explorer has popped up.
Any advice would be greatful.
Thanks
Can anyone give me some advice thanks
Would just like to say this is a very helpful forums (NOT)
