Everyone loves Teeter right? I'm sure there'll be lots of shoddy ports for WP7 on launch, so I decided to do it right and first
Obviously, I'm pretty sure the name is trademarked, so will have to be changed before release...
Here's some screenshots of my progress so far :

(Cant post images or real links as I'm a new user )
I'm looking for designers to come up with a possible alternate style, to diferentiate from the original teeter slightly. Maybe themed worlds?
I'm open to ideas

I wrote an article about this, which should give you some support for your app and maybe a few people who will be willing to help with designs...
Will come out at 3 pm EST today.
thats great news Guess that gives me more motivation to finish it then
And how about a real Metro UI skin? I guess it will look great!
A metro UI skin is a great idea, just not sure about how to pull it off well, will give it a try though

Make everything a blue block? I joke, of course Very nice work, looking forward to see how this comes along, as this is by far my favorite Windows Mobile game.
Nice job, OP! I wouldn't be surprised if HTC have already made a port, but this is still very cool.
My only comment is the 3D view looks a bit strange. There is no real depth, just the 2D Window rotating in 3D space. Look on youtube for "labyrinth 3D".
Keep up the great work!

I forgot to mention, that view is just for the emulator, as I cant really pick up my monitor and tilt it around
As soon as I get a real device to test on, I'll move everything over to the real G-Sensor, and lose the pseudo 3d kinda thing
ALLTHOUGH
I could easily make the 3D view better and have this as an alternate to using the G-Sensor, perhaps as an option from the menu? All input is helpful at this stage
Also, anyone who wants to follow my dev work, my twitter is @lordadamwalker.
Not much stuff about this project yet, but I only started yesterday morning, so It'll be there. Best way to keep updated
I would like a natural Port of the Game most.
Please add a Missionselector after one managed the final level.
If you make a Metro SKin please make it alternative, some people dont like it all the time.
Also I think Stability and low latenzity is more importent the difficult View, you should set your priorities according to that.
looking fwd to see how this game turns out...

A direct port is where I'm starting certainly, any extra features I can add when I finish the engine completely.
There will be a level selector for completed levels.
And there will definitely be a choice of skin to suit all tastes
Performance and reliability are my key focus, so rest assured the engine will be well tested and tuned
Not one to double post, but I now have access to a Windows Phone 7 device, so I should be able to make some real progress. Updates coming very soon
well?
Where is the port?
You might have better luck finding the OP on twitter. He hasn't logged into XDA since May last year.

just randomly checked the sony website, and there are two new panels...
Test CNN panel B10
and
Test Gokivo Navigation B10
http://www.sonyericsson.com/fun/wxh...ntentItemId=36424;ts=1247690304226;phoneId=-1
Don't know how long they've been up, so apologies if this has been posted already (i did quick search before posting and found nothing)
The Test CNN panel has a funky new 'roladex' style front page (3D), and it's generally smoother
The Gokivo is pretty slow to search for places considering I was on Wi-Fi connection, looks like a pretty good panel though, only had a quick look in the menu, and it's got traffic updates too. It's kinda like a cross between TomTom and Googlemaps. Didn't have time to test it, but here's the website link:
http://www.gokivo.com/
So maybe SE haven't quite given up on the xperia just yet....?
they have been out for quite some time, and you know what the good thing about WinMo is: even if developers stop making official stuff, XDA people still make apps that will keep ur phone hip and great for another 5 years
already gone
Found the panels also during a random check and immedatly download the Gokivo panel to try out.
too bad they already disappeared from the SE site. probalby not quite finished yet
I quickly tried Gokivo on my Xperia. it looks good but its very slow in searching and updating maps.
like mentioned in previous post it's in between TomTom and google maps but needs to be a lot faster to be useable.
I hope it gets back on their site soon!

Any chance you can share it? I went to the SE site and thought they might have hidden it from me because I'm not in Nth America or Europe - but now I see it was actually pulled.
well I was thinking.. since they have 2 more xperia phones coming out.. if the panel system isn't being ditched, then perhaps some would be reversely compatible?
just a thought.
Anybody download the cab and care to share the gokivo panel?

You get two games after registering, Texas Hold'em poker and something else.

I'm not going to go into details yet but as you can see the core is quite similar to Sense UI however, it will be a combination of all the things that I wanted on my phone. The speed is surprising very good and I hope it will remain at that as I add more things.
I'll re-open another thread for discussion when this gets a bit further down wt more contents. For now, any inputs are welcome.
BTW, skinners who wants to contribute, pls PM me. Thks.
Nice work!
You are using manila files to do that? I mean, you use manila.exe with your custom manila files? Or is this something similar to wad and nothing to do with manila?
ETA on a release?
Very nice! Please also share stats like memory usage, battery consumption, speed, etc.
Looks promising, keep up the great work!
This is fantastic. I have used HTC Hero Sense UI and found it's awesomely smooth, especially with the animated horizontal tab/page slides, animated apps/windows open and close, vertical notification bar slides, etc just to name a few, which WM based HTC Sense could have implemented and removed the tabs. Unfortunately it just didn't happen.
I think you have found a way to fully exploit the potential of HTC Sense UI which WM alone just couldn't do it. I hope you could add those animated features in as well. It will make our WM-based Sense more sensible
I am looking forward for your new toy, Max. You have done brilliant works on MaxManila! Keep up the good works!
Wow, looks fantastic. And very smooth for an "over night" thing *ggg*
When you need someone for betatesting i would be available.
One Question. Programs like Kalender, SMS, etc... . Do you use the Standard WM or the HTC Sense versions for your UI?
greets
Happy days ahead!
Maxycy !!!
Awesome !!!
Wonderful job and very promising !
( Could you consider adding a CPU usage indicator (CPU%)
good job! So from the screenshot you're planning to go fullscreen?
looking great...
just one suggestion (and I would be very happy if I could see it in your Max Manilla 2.5 app) - could you make so that we could use multiple wallpapers for background (portrait and landscape). I mean so we could specify a folder containing pictures so that the pictures could be changed every minute or so, or everytime we change from portrait to landscape and back...
something as the option that is available at S2U2 app for there wallpapers...
wow wow
prepairing 4 W7
Looks awesome!
This might be a dumb question, but I'm still gonna ask it :
Will this work on the HD2?
Bro this is simply amazing, cant wait for the final release eheheh, it looks beatifull!!!
Very exciting!! Can't wait for a release! You never cease to amaze me with what you do! Keep it up, my friend and please send some pointers to HTC dev. team if you have the time! LOL!
Awesome!!! Can't wait to try it mate!
Awesome, please, when you're done, create a QVGA version. Please! This is the perfect UI! (seriously)
I'm sorry can't refrain to congrate you of what you have done! Funtastic ...hope it will be much lighter and snap UI
Awesome man! Keep up the good work..
Looks great. Will it work on Rhodium?
Amazing job!
WOW! That's looking great! Well done job! Woop Woop ^^
Hi to All and specifically to Singaporeans,
Do you live in Singapore and are quite peeved that you cant read straits times in your Windows Mobile handset?
Well this is the app for you. With UI similar to metro, it allows you to read full articles without the need to visit Straits Times' website on your phone.
Now with offline reading capabilities for your transit needs!
The app needs CF3.5 and is created with the help of the excellent sliderlist by Obelix_A
Current Features
- read full articles available from StraitsTimes.com Free
- view pictures and captions related to the articles
- change font size for articles
- offline syncing
- low-bandwidth mode (by displaying images only when articles are read)
- auto updater
Planned Features
- reading of articles from a specific date
- bookmarking articles
Known Bugs/Issues
- application is known to crash for Omnia2 and OmniaPro devices, upon a selection of a section

i would appreciate feedback and feature-requests.
Your last picture posted here has a grammatical error - 'has been', not 'has be'.
Tried this app. Very smooth.. in fact, a bit too sensitive.. When i scrolled, I keep opened links accidentally.
A ligther background or something more 'relax' would be nice I think. This is a bit too 'dark' to my liking.
hey bro, i tried looking hard, couldnt find the gramatical error.... i might be going blind
as for the over sensitivity, rest assured i would be passing the feedback to obelix, the creator of the slider control; which is used in this app. I have to give him credit for making this awesome control that cuts the development by almost half when designing the UI portion
Would take that as a feature request and put it into my tast list for the next few releases
once again thanks for not only using the app, but providing feedback for it too. There is no point in people just using app without telling us, the developers, what they really want to see. Its after all you the users who end up using it on a daily basis. So thank you!
on a side note, got a nice email from microsoft this morning
Hi
Just wonder - would you consider making this reads the other Singapore e-news intead of just ST? While it's nice to have one app for one news site, I really don't like the idea of filling my screen with few icons for different newspaper.
Just a thought. Of cos', it would have to be a different names then. Ha..
But this programme so far running very smoothly and scrolling is good too. Well done!
hmm, it would increase the complexity of the app, introducing the possibilities of having more bugs. I would avoid that.
moreover i have done up the CNA app as well as the backend of Today app as well... just a matter of time before they become general release items as well
http://www.mobinauts.com/topic/110817-local-app-channel-news-asia/
It seems very cool...but I would like to have this for other newspaper...
the straits time with Windows Phone 7 theme. Nice touch
Definitely gonna try this out. Great development.
looks great! will try it out now

This is great, though wishing there are others like CNA or Newpaper
Also I'm getting this error on my HD2 once in a while after I quit or while using the app (can't take a screenshot for some odd reason)...but other than that, it's working fine. And I notice a 2 second lag when I scroll it way way up or down (till the icons are gone) before they appear again but meh, I could still live with it
Code:
STmobile.exe
ObjectDisposedException
at
System.Windows.Forms.Control.InvokeHelper(Delegate method, Boolean fSynchronous, Object[] rgobjArgs)
at
STmobile.settingsFile.updateSyncState()

as for the CNA app, already done it. a few selected users are now testing it... would be available soon: http://www.mobinauts.com/topic/110817-local-app-channel-news-asia
here is another app i did initially: 4D and Toto http://spoolsmobile.appslah.com/
initally planned to do TNP as well, but i soon found out that TNP is slightly harder and they lack online content.

Awesome! Would be gr8 if you can make one for STOMP news cauz the current one isnt great at all.
One app I would like to see when WP7 comes out is a good, functional, yet nice looking IP calculator. This is the one that I use for my class, but it isn't for WM nor (obviously) for WP7. http://www.radmin.com/products/utilities/ipcalculator.php
I have tried getting someone to port the iPhone version http://www.addressplus.net/iphone/ipcalc/ because it looks pretty, but have gotten no responses either here or over at modaco. If someone could make a great ip calculator for WP7 then you would definitely have at least one buyer when WP7 comes out lol. (a WM 6.5.5 version to tide me over would be great too lol)
Subnet Calculator
I figured I'd give this a shot. Here's a few screenshots of what I've got so far:
{

It's all working pretty well at the moment. Clicking any of the buttons will bring up a popup list of the values to select from and you can drag the sliders to adjust the settings as well.
I'm thinking of setting it up so when you swipe the screen left/right it will go to the previous/next subnet and maybe adding a main page where you can select from a class/classless calculator.
If I have sometime later tonight I'll try to make a video of it running in the emulator.
Not bad, the idea is there. I think you need some more spacing between elements to make it proper touch friendly, but looks like we got a handy app for sys-admins here!
Yeah. There's definitely not much room for fat fingers on there right now :-( I think the lists could use a little more padding between the values, and maybe there could be a little more space between the buttons and the Subnet Bits slider. It's difficult to tell what's too close for sure without playing with it on an actual device, but I should probably take another look at the design guidelines (I remember reading something about the recommended minimum spacing between elements).
Anyways, here's a quick video of it in action. The emulator runs kinda crappy on my laptop because I don't have hardware assisted virtualization, so I apologize if anything looks choppy (could just be my amateur code too, hehe).

Nice work man.
That is totally awesome! I am glad someone decided to give it a go, now I really can't wait for WP7

Yup. I added the main page where you can select the type of calculator. Right now I'm pulling out the code that can be shared between the two calculators into a separate class.
I rearranged the way you select the subnet class and enter the IP address as well. The class selection is now a button with a popup menu like the Subnet Mask, etc, and the IP address is now a single textbox as opposed to the 4 separate textboxes.
I'll post an updated video once I have everything working again.
awesome. This is going to be a huge help to us net-admins. Doing subnetting is annoying as hell without the calculator lol
any updated video or screens?
Yup. Here's a quick screenshot of what it's looking like now. Now that the official pivot controls are out, I'm toying with the idea of making the calculator mode selection a pivot...

looking good can't wait, sadly I have to wait until verizon gets WP7, but when It does (hopefully when the LTE 4G is active) then I will definitely be getting this app . One thing I might put, instead of Classed and Classless, I would put Classful and Classless. I was taught that it was refered to as classful when all the subnets have the same mask. Other than that, looks awesome!!!
Haha, showing my ignorance I suppose :'( names fixed
cool that is awesome. Thanks again for doing this.

I suppose I need to register for MarketPlace first, and then it would be available at the release of WP7.
In regards to WM6.5...I'd need to rewrite the application since WP7 development is a different beast. I'll look into the amount of work that would be required to port it, and if it's not too bad, I'll release it in the WM Development thread as well.

Hello! I'm a designer who loves Metro. I'm tired of seeing the lackluster Metro app design currently plaguing the Windows Store. While there are some fantastic designs, many apps are just boring or don't fit in well with the Metro design language.
I'm here to help. I'm offering my design skills at no cost, all I ask for is one line of credit in the app's About page.
This is my first design. It's a complete GUI for Instapaper. It's very clean, modern, and most certainly Metro. It's extremely simplistic, but still has everything you could want from an Instapaper app. This app rivals even the official Android and iOS Instapaper apps. The design is based around the Bing News app and the People app. If you're interested in developing this app, I feel you could charge at least $3 in the Store, and make a good profit, which I would want no part of.
Below are some images. I have PSDs of every interface from the log in to creating a new folder. If you're seriously interested in developing this app, either send me a message or post below.

Aaaagh... don't quote huge OPs like that, please! Just hit Quick Reply and don't use the "Quote message in reply?" option. It just makes the page really long and makes it hard to find the breaks between posts...
To the OP: looks very nice. I hope you find a dev to work with. A few things to keep in mind:
1) Different resolutions, and scaling between them. What looks great on the Surface's 1366x768 will look pretty bad on my desktop's 2560x1440.
2) Different aspect ratios. Tablets in particular are sometimes used in portrait aspect ratio. It would be great to have a good UI for using the app like that too; not enough Store apps handle that well.
3) Snapping the app to one side or the other. This makes it much thinner and also removes the ability to open the App Bar (right-click or swipe in from top/bottom) and Charms bar for that app, so if it's going to be useful in the snapped view it should offer the most critical controls directly to the user in this interface. Skype, Xbox Music, and even Mail do decent jobs of this, although they aren't necessarily pretty.

I do have designs for every view/position (I haven't done anything about scalability, but I have ideas on how to work with that). I only posted the two main views in dark/light varients to make sure people could get a good solid understand of how it will work and function. I have PSD's for almost everything that's needed. I've found someone who says they'd like to work on it.

You should undertake overhauling a well known open source windows software. Most of them dont have a metro counterpart. Just pick anything, i can see you have a pretty functional design understanding.
