Try clearing the data from the camera app in applications management. Anyways, I had weird camera issues when Fring was installed but none once I uninstalled it. Not sure if this applies in your case.

What is fring

you probably just disabled the app. go into app manager and it should be in there.

So I enabled the camera again. Thank you. But it still force closes. When i open it, it just shows a black screen and after a moment it force closes. Did I burn the sensor somehow?

also, I cannot launch the camera from any app like eBay and etc....and even the flashlight widget doesn't work and force closes

go back into that app manager and clear the data for the camera app. then try the camera again the normal way (i dunno about ebay apps, ect).
I cleared data. Stopped the app. I did all that but didn't fix the problem. I pulled the battery out and let the phone sit for a few and then turned it on and it worked. Very weird. I wanna try to replicate the problem but I'm scared on a 750 dollar phone with no insurance. It was when I was using paper camera and taking a few pictures that this happened...

don't panic. worst case scenario you can just flash the original image that google provides or any custom roms. you can find plenty of information in the dev section

I have same problem with paper camera. When Im close it app crash and camera stop working...
This problem just occured to me, But I was NOT using Paper Camera.
Camera *AND* GTalk both force close on launch.
I was running CM9 with Franco kernel, latest Gapps. it just occurred randomly on a reboot, no flashes or anything in-between...
anyone else have issues with this?
I'm having issues too. If I turn my phone off while in the camera app, and then turn my phone back on, it gives the error that my camera cannot be found. Only way I know how to fix it is to reboot my phone. I'm running stock 4.0.2, rooted.

Works fine for me on Codename. Have not had a single problem with it.
think its a size issue cause it either f/c or says size too small ...
mine will fc whenever I go into the actual picture taking part of the app. The social parts of the app work perfect though. Running the goodness rom

I am having the same issue. When I try to take a pic, it force closes. I am running MIJJAHZ rom. Any ideas?

I have CM9 alpha 2 with the FC02 kernel and I can take the pictures fine. Where I run into problems is if I am listening to music or podcasts and snap a picture, Instagram mutes all audio until I force close it and then all my sound comes back. I'm pretty sure it is muting it for the shutter sound and then won't un-mute so it has to be killed. Anybody else getting this? Any possible fixes or workarounds?

In CM9 alpha 2 you have to keep Advanced Camera on or it will crash after you take a photo and accept it.
I actually just wiped my phone and it works fine now! Made a backup of my important apps first though : )

Sounds like the issue lies with people on ICS? I've been experiencing the same thing with calkulin's 1.3a rom.
Latest update fixed it for me!

Answer phone, auto to speaker

Every time I answer my G2 its automatically put on speaker phone... not a huge problem but sometimes annoying when trying to answer phone quietly or while at work. I can't use search at moment as my bro is using computer for something so I thought is ask here.
And no I don't just have an Atrix, I also have a G2.

you can try clearing data in dialer or look for a setting there that is checked that shouldn't be. sounds rom specific so flashing a new one after a full wipe should cure this fine

Did full wipe and flashed newer CM7 and that did nothing for me. I will trying clearing data in dialer as well as looking through some settings.
Any other suggestions?

Any solutions to GPS freezing in GA10?

Mainly happens with Facebook (have locations disabled but still turns on the GPS and tries to get a lock)
Randomly the GPS will try to get a lock (or even get one) and stay on, even after the application that was using it is closed... Have tried using terminal to stop the location service and doesn't do anything...
Anyone found a workaround for this (besides the normal rebooting)... It started to eat the battery like crazy when it does this

I have this same problem. My solution was to stop using the Facebook app as it is the only one that causes me the problem.

I've had the same problem with the Facebook app, I suggest turning the GPS off from the pull down bar before entering the app all together

Anyone have camera flashlight issues. Mine is not working at all updated 4.4.2

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using XDA Free mobile app
Mine works fine. My phone is pure stock unrooted. I use a free app from the play store called Power Toggles to have access to a flashlight in the drop down notification window.
I've also read in several places where some people had minor issues like this after updating but a factory reset solved the problems.
hope this helps.
