No one wants to do a recovery atleadt here
We have a dedicated thread for this already for kernels
And if I'm not mistaken, its 3.14, 3.15 breaks the exploit

I tested out a recovery with ps3 hack on my droid inc, it was nice but it did not work. I think the person doing it said they were starting from scratch again.

Apparently you can read a little if you unrevoked.... try that first, it works....I swear.

You will need a recovery program in order to flash most roms. The two I am aware of are Amon_RA (most popular around these forums), and Clockwork.

Check out OMJ's thread on PPCGeeks. There is a link in the line "YOU MUST BE FULLY ROOTED!", which you can use as your walkthrough. It's easy. Trust me. Just read, and read again. And before you begin, read one more time.

You cannot root it yet.
Dont need root to use the search function.

Well if they say, you can't then you probably can't this time. Also in other threads were updates - people are working on it. It will be on the forums, when root is available.

You have to wait either for HTC to release their boot unlocker or someone else who manage to root it. It's a race. Wonder who will faster.

aren't there rooted stock GB roms in development section? maybe you should ask developers how did they do it?

You do read that its not about rooting an ordenary gingerbread device, right?
After HTC released the official upgrade to 2.3.3 alot of eager smartphone users have left their cooked 2.3.x rooted devices stranded on the upgraded 2.3.3.
As did I. Now I am too looking for a solution to get back to the much better 2.3.x rooted version gingerbread that I had before.
I understand threadstarters frustration. Maybe so should you instead of flaming?

Yes and as we all said there are already multiple threads about this exact subject. I understand that the thread starter is frustrated but there are others with the same problem already. Thats why you're meant to search before posting new threads, because there are already threads covering this topic.

It was quite easy (after finding a guide on google).
I needed to root so I could updated the radio and have 2 way call recording, it's working perfectly. Well happy

To select items use the optical trackpad, not the power putton

Ultimate Droid keeps getting removed from XDA because it violates the ToS here and on Google (they charge for the nightlies). Just install a better AOSP ROM.
i still have it in my dropbox....but its outdated...u can find it on a few other sites if u look hard
I remember being suckered into paying for the nightlies when I first learned to root and flash ROMs... then they stopped updating. Boo-Urns indeed.
Find a better ROM, it hasn't been updated in 3 or 4 months and their site isn't even up and running anymore. It's very outdated and will do nothing but continue to get even more outdated as better ROMs are released.
