I can't stand the new 3D look in Touch Flo, I recently upgraded to HTC's WM 6.5 rom. Is it possible to get the old, stylish and simple b/w TouchFlo look in combination with WM 6.5?
Dear Cooks, why don't you cook something fresh and finger-friendly like 6.5.X and with memory-friendly and visually attractive shell like new Sense 2.1 ported by Kimi?
There are many good 6.5.X ROMs, but as I see there is no way found to make cabs for Sense 2.1 cause it deeply integrates with the system...
Also there are ROMs wins Sense 2.1 and 2.5, but all of them contains a lot of software that eats memory...
So I think it will be cool for us to have a clean ROM with new interface and new shell. And everyone can install what he needs through cabs.
Any thoughts?
I agree. But Sense 2.1 has only been out for a few days, so I am sure we will see some more ROMs after Christmas
I'm looking forward to Benko's new WM 6.5.3 + Sense 2.1 ROM for example.
Unfortunately yozgatg has abandoned his WM 6.5 project. I think he would be capable of building us a great 6.5 ROM He also released a kitchen in which you can integrate WM 6.5 yourself, but I'm not experienced enough in ROM building

Touch Diamond is out of date, winmo 6.5 is meant for more current and faster devices.

HTCTD runs 6.5 slowly and will be too slow to run 7.0 for sure.
Nope, they're only making it for the Diamond2. Unforuntately the Diamond was designed by HTC to work well (pfft) with Windows Mobile 6.1, so HTC wouldn't want people complaining of 6.5's problems unless hardware is customized exclusively for the operating system.

No, diamond can run well 6.5 (at least in my case). 6.1 provides poor touch sense (tried)

I agree, my Diamond is more useable with WM6.5. Because the touch sense of screen is better and items of ui is more like for touch ui device.
And the WM6.5 is running ok in diamond without htc today plugins.
there 's no official 6.5 rom on the diamond

If you look at memory consumption on 6.5 with SENSE, it is around 80%. HTC wouldn't want people to only be able to run 2 programs at a time, so they don't bother with it.

Any thread # for a good 6.5 cooked rom for Diamond (not Diamond2)? All I find is old (as of beginning of 2009)
i have a phone called the samsung intrepid, it has wm 6.5
what would be the easyist way to get it to 6.5.3 because no1 makes roms for this device... could any1 make this rom? I dont know how hard this could be

I have made such a Hybrid. But the problem is that the battery life is crap. You need to use the new rilphone.dll together with the 4.xx.xx.xx radio and WM6.1. The rilphone and radio doesn't match the WM version and this results in a poor battery.
Check my Oldschool thread in ROM developing, I have put there my WM6.1 + Sense 2.5 ROM (have a look at the last posts), see how the battery live is, if it fits you I'll upload you a WM6.1 Sense 2.1 Hybrid too.
