So I just went from CM6 (missed sense) back to the recent OTA rooted. I'd like to try backed snack 1.8 that is in Rom Manager but am curious on a couple quick questions that I haven't found the answers for on the net:
- Does the stock camera still exist?
- Is the MMS message limit removed that anyone is aware of?
- Does 4g Work? don't care if the widget isnt there, just curious if the widget works.
Also, asume I just do a rom backup in rom manager and app backup with Titanium and am good to go?

Also, if you like BS, you might also want to take a look at Myn's new rom... It takes a lot to pull me from baked snack, but i have had this on my phone for a few days and am REALLY liking it!!!

I noticed that my browser no longer has button graphics for certain clickable links that are actions. For example, the page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_(operating_system)
Would normally have buttons on the "Show" links at the bottom of the page. Now, I just have the text "Show" that I can click on. I have tested this on various roms and various websites. Has anyone else noticed this?

I think it is something that some of the Devs are doing to the ROMs. I tried Virtuous, Uncommon Sense, and Skyraider Vanilla, all with the same issue. Then I flashed my 8/1 leak ROM, and no issues (buttons were there). I proceeded to flash the official Froyo dump from the RUU (deodexed v2) and no problems with it either. On top of that, I installed the same mods I had previously installed on Virtuous (adrynalyne kernel, Smooth Sense Icons, No Location Icon, and REVOlution Font) with no issues. So, I'm thinking some common update or patch is breaking the buttons. Anyone have some insight?
Did you wipe dalvik cache, and do a full wipe before installing each of those roms?

Fellow members I have flashed about every Rom available for the inc and still end up with the same issue. I've tried new kernels and roms including cm, ud, virtuous, all of Lou's, and now miui 12/3.
It all boils down to install Rom. Set all apps up. Finally get around to using the camera and after I take the first pic and close the app, upon opening it again my screen turns colors ranging from pink to white. Only way to fix is reflash. Swell bc its everyday.
Help please.

Try another camera
Have you tried another camera?
In the Virtuous section of ROM manager, Extra Goodies section, there is an Evo Camera - try that.
Absent that working, is there something on the camera lens and/or is it compromised somhow - eg - did it get wet, is it cracked, etc...
I've tried that too. Still same results. It was the phone. Later that day it wouldn't boot and VZW sent me a new phone. Problem solved I guess

I finally got talk/text/data/3g/mms to work on my Epic 4G flashed to Cricket, BUT...
After applying this fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=968582, (which is what got my mms working), the default "messages" icon in the menu bar at the bottom is missing...
Also, the messaging interface is looks nothing like the EB13 one that was on there before...

Any ideas how I get this sms/mms system to work, but look like the default EB13 UI?
Is there a way to merge the two apk's so it provides the working sms/mms functionality from the update, but with the Froyo UI and default messaging icon?

Hello all. I came from a Palm pre and there was a nifty patch that enabled the use of the volume buttons to take a picture.
I was wondering if there was a way to do this with the EVO4G?
There is if youre running cm7, shinzuls camera tweaks were added allowing you to set the volume up or down buttons to take pics. You must be rooted to flash cm7. I don't know if these tweaks exist on a sense rom.

As far as I know its ONLY on aosp. No one has tweaked the htc sense camera. CM7 is the only rom I've seen that feature on man.

The base is from studjuice's Gingerbread for CM 6+
The battery and message symbol is from sisterchick's Minimal Remix
The only thing I made by myself are the data symbols
Theres just a symbol for the data connection icons. No blinking arrows.
I've tested this theme on froyo by lazslo 5.2, but it should work with any other rom based on CM6.
Remember that I will not take responsibilty for any fails on your phone after applying this theme. Also remember to do a backup!

the zip isnt flashable. you have to apply it with metamorph from the market. and for now it is only compatible with cm6 based roms.
