so my phone keeps freezing 2 minutes after it boots up. It started while I was trying to delete some texts off handcent, the whole phone just froze. I had to pull the battery and then when i booted the phone back up, it was acting super laggy and froze a minute or two after boot up. So I have to pull the battery again and it just keeps doing this. Havent installed any new apps or anything. I stopped a few programs from starting up with autostarts but they werent critical programs. anyone have any ideas?
Need some more info.
ROM, kernel, radio, what's your setup?
all stock, rooted with s-off.
I ended up doing a factory reset because I used to use launcherpro and after one of the numerous resets the phone went back to sense home and everything was gone.
Im still curious as to what i could have been...

i have been having problems with very frequent reboots lately. it happens about 30 seconds after i turn my evo on, so i decided to start over and unroot. after the full process of unrooting, rerooting, and reflashing ava v9, i realized that the rom was running way smoother than before, and was having no problems. then, i reinstalled my apps i backed up with themepro using adb push app/ (where i have all the apps) /data/app/. i pushed while in recovery. almost instantly after rebooting, i noticed some of the old lag coming back. about a minute into the rom, i reboot. i booted up and down several times without being able to stay up for more than a minute. the apps did install succesfully however. please help. i have attached my apps below in case anybody wants to take a look.
thanks again

Woke up this morning, powered down to swap out batteries, swapped out batteries, booted up, and started off with a nice "Google Apps" FC. Then later on after I managed to stop that, I was using HotSpot with my SGT 10.1, and it decided to random reboot and started FCing everything.
Managed to Titanium backup before doing the 3xWipe and reinstalling the rom just now.
I would put this in the actual Rom thread, but I'm not allowed to post there. So, here we are.
Well, my phone just booted after the reset and nothing has FC'd so far. I will definitely report back if problems persist.
Today I was playing a game on my phone, all of a sudden, starts rebooting, then again, then again...After about four times, I had enough. Went into recovery, wiped all user data, cache, and davlik. Rebooted from there. Phone turned on, then started doing the same thing. At that point I tried a nandroid I made a couple days ago, but it still kept rebooting. Tried reflashing Synergy, of course I wiped everything again, but kept rebooting. Finally I ran a PC36IMG of the stock rom that I kept when I first rooted my Evo. Seems to have worked out because I'm not rebooting anymore. Now for my question, Can somebody explain what may have caused that to happen? I've been running Synergy for about two months and have had no problems. I generally don't overclock, but underclock when screen is off, and other big battery drainers. I was also running Freedom .9
Oh yeah, almost forgot. I've been lurking around your site for months and many of you have helped me out and don't even know it. So...THANK YOU!
Ok. Well I apparently do need help. Was able to run the 4.54 stock OTA rooted. Then tried Synergy, then MikG. Both are restarting non stop. I'm about to throw this thing through the window, go to Sprint, and get a cheapo phone.
As in title really....the error that HTC Sense has stopped.
I'm on Viper 4.07 Rom and turned on phone, it boots up fully, but constantly flashing that message that sense has stopped.
Will not let me access any part of the phone apart from pull status bar down!
Any way to resolve this without doing a restore or fresh install?
It's my mother's phone and aint done a full backup for about 3 weeks and she has got a LOT of app data etc etc that she will lose if I have to reflash or restore back to 3 weeks ago.
Might be worth mentioning, that the battery completely died on her phone, as in 0%.....plugged in charger, booted up ok, but with that htc stopped message...it wont go away.
Any ideas will be HUGELY appreciated :good:
Thanks
Matt
I've recently started having trouble with my N7100 freezing/locking up.
I bought it shortly after launch, so it's a little over 1 1/2 years old. I had flashed one of the first rooted 4.1.2 firmware that was available, and never bothered updating because it was stable and got great battery life and I didn't feel like dealing with ROM stuff. But recently with the official 4.4.2, I decided to finally update, and decided on trying out DN3. So I flashed the latest TWRP, did the usual backing every thing up, flashed the MJ5 bootloader, and flashed it. It kept bootlooping, so I figured something went wrong, so I restored my 4.1.2 backup. This was where the freezing began. It was to the point where I couldn't use it. Tried rebooting a few times, but every time it would freeze as soon as it booted or shortly after. I assumed something just went wrong with the backup, so I tried flashing DN3 again. This time it booted successfully, but would occasionally freeze, most often when loading an app, but sometimes just randomly. After a couple days it seemed to subside. Then I decided to try out OmniRom. Same thing -- it would occasionally freeze up, then after a while would be fine. (Note: these were both clean installs.) Seems like every time I'd flash an updated version of Omni, the freezing issue would flare back up. Just now, I flashed the latest homemade build, and the freezing was really bad again, to the point where I can't even use it. Sometimes it'll freeze the instant it finishes booting, sometimes it'll freeze a few seconds after, sometimes it'll finish booting and will be fine until I load an app, then would freeze, and sometimes it would be fine for a couple minutes and the just freeze randomly. What's odd about it is that the screen is still responding to touch. Every thing's locked up, but when I touch the screen, the capacitive buttons light up as though it's still working fine, but nothing else works. I've even had a couple times where I let it sit for about 10 minutes and then it started responding again.
What's really frustrating is that I can't find a common cause here.Started on 4.1.2 (which had never had any issues beforehand), continues on a clean install of DN3, and continues on a clean install of OmniRom. Disabling Xposed and removing my SD card had no effect. It boots fine into recovery and download modes.
Does anyone know what the issue could be here?
EDIT: And now I've done a complete wipe, again, and reflashed DN3, again, and it appears to be working fine. Go figure.
It's not suddenly death?
