Hi all, i recently got my HTC desire and am very happy with it..
I am constructing a plain desktop dock (no charging etc, just a holder).
I am unable to find a way to trigger different dock modes that I read about for other devices like:
..Car dock home
..Multimedia dock mode
..Desk clock/dock mode
..Night dock mode etc
>Is there an app which I can use to trigger any of these modes manually?
>Are these dock modes default android functionality or device/manufacturer specific?
>How would I trigger dock modes when I put the phone in my custom dock? (magnet, micro usb pins wiring, etc)
>Is there some reason for the absence of dock pins/connectors/manual triggers etc?
Please advice. I am quite excited by this.
Thanks
bump.. anyone??
Title says it all. It's always unchecked for me, even when I am USB charging.
I'm curious too... anyone?
I can not find where to find USB Settings CyanogenMod 7.03
Now though, I cannot access the device over USB and the USB settings option (Settings -> About Phone -> USB Settings) is no longer present in the device!
I've rebooted the phone but it makes no difference. I get the audible alert when I connect the cable, but nothing on the device or my computer.
Has anyone seen this before and knows how to resolve it?
I guess yoir looking for usb. Plug it in then drag down the nnotifications bar, click on usb then press turn on.

PC recognizes the Nexus, I can see the icon in My Computer however it is empty.
The phone charges, but I have no access to the memory.
I've tried 3 different cables
USB Debugging activated? Fastcharge activated?
What I have noticed is that when you connect your phone with the screen off, the icon is empty. Then, if you just unlock the phone, it shows Internal Storage in the icon.

Click to collapse
I can vouch for this. I was having the same issues before turning the screen on
Or, some builds of Android don't have MTP enabled by default. Go to Settings->Storage->click the overflow button in the bottom right->USB computer connection->make sure MTP is ticked. Give that a try if the above don't work
Is there a way to choose it? I tried in developer options, but even if I choose the MTP stuff, I still get the battery charging when connecting...
Thanks!
