Has anyone tried making the WP7 lock screen for Android?
A WM 6.5 version has been made over in the HD2 forums here:

I don't particularly like WP7's Metro and its tile start screen, but there's something about the lock screen that I really like.

I thought so too. There is something clean about it that I really like.
I'm not completely sure what quietpopcorn's "really?" is all about though.
Apparently, I'm not the only person that likes parts of MetroUI (See Android Phone 7 Theme on front page).

I'm not too fond of the start screen but I also like some small parts of Metro. The largest being the lockscreen. I'd love it if someone could make a functional one for android. I'd donate some money and I'm sure others would as well.

If someone can get some kind of port or something over from the vibrant, it has basically the same type of lockscreen.

Yeah... here is a video of the Vibrant unlocking for those who haven't seen.
It's the same principal just with the time and date taking up about 1/3 of the real estate of the screen as seen here.
Anyone looking to port this... or develop it?

I too would love to see this ported, if anyone is savvy enough to do so. I am currently using widget locker....iphone look (cleanest look in my book) until I saw this one! It's just simple and has the goods I am looking for in widget locker.

IMO... webos trumps android in every way. it's just the hardware "pre & pixi" that sucks. id love to see a port of this.

no because i want the devs to see it. if we get some big names behind this im sure it could happen. even devs at precentral are onboard. webos 2.0 + the evo = WIN!

If the hardware were better I would probably still be rocking webos but android is pretty good, too. Best multitasking I've seen was webos.

I for one think that webos 2.0 is kinda nice. I prefer my android but webos is cool in its own right.

I find it hard to believe that people still think developers ONLY read posts in the developers section....
I was looking at iphones and windows phones and crap and all of them are smooth and yummy. And the android is just DERP andchanges instantly.

I was wondering the same thing. There is more of an animation to the iphone rotation. I'm curious to know if its possible to have rotation transition animations as well.

Really? Im with Mikeylee on this, if you could make it, please do? I like the way Andy comes in, and kinda bounces and the way the lights shoot across the words ANDROID and then back around underneath it looks good too!

Well after looking at it again, I think it would be too much of a pain to try and change the SUOMI.FI part.
So I will make a list of some other boot animations that I'd be willing to do.

HA! My vote is for the Android Fries Apple one. I've had the red rage one on another ROM before.

Those are some awesome boot-ups... The fry apple one is killer. Buuuuut (always a but when u start off with a compliment lol), we are talking bout the Epic here. With a boot up time like it has, how far u gonna get into the bootup before the phone kicks on. The frys apple one is pretty long!

Yeah there's too much. I'd just like to see the first 10 seconds or so without all the other stuff. Just up to the frying of the apple and then maybe a sweet looking Android logo or something

some people like the launcher of iOS coupled with the versatility of android. nothing wrong with that.
with that being said, this works suprosingly well, just needs options for customization. Menu button does nothing. folders would be dope too but its still in beta stage
This launcher has no settings or any kind of options, just like the regular iPhone, go figure.
They should implement a Launcher menu, but I guess they didn't think it was important to since iPhone users usually stick with stock...EVERYTHING.
oh yeah...it'll be much better. The devs are working on adding alot of recommended customizations

This launcher doesnt have anything better of both worlds. It's dull, boring, and unattractive, then again that's just my opinion
P.S . But I know its a WIP, so it has the potential to get better.
MIUI is identical to the iPhone, you don't see people bashing that ROM now do you? Kills iPhone in every aspect IMO.
