My Desire was working perfectly until I performed the gmail client update which I received from HTC yesterday. I stick with the HTC official ROM since the first day I got it and didnt not perform any mod like install custom ROM , root. After it finished update , it just keep rebooting when it reached 'Quietly Brilliant' screen . I did a hard reset , CLEAR STORAGE . But it didnt help. So I did some google search , and found a solution that use to solve my kind of problem . Reflash the ROM through the HTC sync .

But none of this work , I keep getting errors like 'customer id not match' , 'file no open/found error code:110' ,'BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR‎ ' . I thought I've downloaded corrupted file . But I was getting the same errors even I have downloaded a new RUU .
I'm from Asia , Malaysia. The Desire is Amoled version , current ROM version is 2.10.405.2 , version 2.2 , and I always perform the HTC official update.

I've got an issue with HTC OTA 2.2 upgrade.
My Desire is unbranded but was still running latest HTC 2.1 OTA.
On my scheduled upgrade check new version was discovered so I went for upgrade. Everything seams to went fine. The ROM file was downloaded, installation went fine until device booted for the first time. After reboot I've had spinning wheel and progress in %. Device was rebooting about 20 times as soon as it reached 93-97%. During that process I've received error message: system service error: FC or Wait. Finally after about an hour the system decided to start eventually but it was loading for about 10 minutes. Now system reboots randomly every 5-10 minutes. No network connections available, no bluetooth, no SD card access and still the same error message: Process system is not responding, FC or Wait. What I suppose to do now? Please for step by step guide as I'm quite a newbie.
I see your desire was running 2.1 OTA but was it rooted...??
No it wasn't. Well to be absolutelly honest it was rooted to install custom 2.2 ROM then unrooted to install HTC OTA 2.1. During the update the phone wasn't rooted. To make it even more odd I've tried to install RADIO rom but recovery-windows script is unable to connect to device. And last thing 3G internet is working fine but can't make any calls!

Have u tried a factory reset ?..
poweroff phone
hold volume down and press power
clear data ?
Yeap. I've done that. Still no luck at all.
I've also renamed downloaded ROM to update.zip and run recovery but the phone still acts the same.
I think that it's because I'm still running update not a new installation.
Is it possible to use this ROM to perform full brand new installation?
U need a goldcard and then use an ruu to downgrade ur phone

I'm just about to finish 2.1 OTA ROM download. So you reckon that the upgrade should be possible afterwards?

But I used a base WWE ruu.

Ok, back to 2.1 again. Everything seems to work absolutelly fine. Flashing 2.2 again.
Root first and then flash a rooted ota froyo

Update successful. Hell knows what was wrong. But to anyone who'll meet similar problem the solution is to install fresh 2.1 ROM and then upgrade it.

every thing was ok except the market which started rebooted it is one and twice then worked fine just for browsing and i can't download ,upgrade & even delete my apps .
i decided to downgrade the device again to cyanogenmod 7.0.0 but it's still there .
i did a full wipe and repartition the sd card and flash a new rom ( Oxygen v2.0.3 )
but it's still there !
update : i tried to downland an app over the 3g and it works !
what is wrong with the WiFi

try upgrading radio or at least loading ril which is for your current radio.
where can i find a good one ?

update : i just flashed this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=971904 )and still getting the same issue ( market doesn't work ) and the 3g is not working as well

Hello ,
I flashed a new rom ( CM 7.2 ) few days ago and it worked great .
I installed then the Radio pack to get my GPS working , and then it also went good.
But today I say that my bottom bar ( with menu bar and phone ) disappeared .
So I rebooted the phone . It started well , until it found network signal .
The moment it finds carrier signal , the phone reboots automatically .
If I change it to Airplane mode immediately after boot , the phone stands good . If I change to Airplane mode OFF , then it reboots .
I tried reflashing Cyanogenmod 7.2 again ( wiped dalvik cache , factory reset and wipe cache ) , but nothing . Still the same .
I also changed my SIM to a new one , but no effect .
Anybody can advice me please ?

What program to use ? I used one but forgot the name 8-| .
It does not work using CWM because gives me some writing error about edify.
flash latest radio, which is Radio_13.53.55.24H_3.35.20.10.zip i think.
And you need to install it from CWM v2.5.x
You can install this older recovery from rom manager. Then you can install radio software. And when done, just reinstall whatever CWM version you had from rom manager too

Hi, i was trying to update my htc desire 820 G+ after i removed the root that was on it ..
after i downloaded the update and while it was installing it stopped and said update error !
i tried to re download it like 5 times and i factory reset my phone and it didn't work !

After installing custom rom viper tweaks (version :viperOneM8 5.0.2) my phone have no wifi . in settings-about-phone identity there is no ip address including most of them says unknown . is there any solution for this problem ? for this problem i wiped my rom for few more times and installed few more different roms ,still no result . want a fast solution fast as i have no other phone :crying:
Try flashing marshmallow firmware before installing a marshmallow rom
