[Q] fake out Device Admins - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a way to fool the Device Admins? Im using work email and they've pushed down a policy that makes me have a pin on my phone, and, well... thats just a pain in the ass..
Is there anyway to fake this out so that it thinks the policy is applied ok but to disable it?

What e-mail client are you trying to use?

Wm 6.1 Issues!

I'm really hating that I downloaded this garbage onto my phone. The keys are a MESS. I've tried to download the fixes but I still can't sync my dash to my pc to even begin to fix it.
I called T-Mobile and their systems are down or something and won't be back up for 24 hours. UGH! I'm never downloaded "the latest" anything ever.
Sorry. I don't mean any disrespect but I can't believe I was foolish enough to blindly ruin my phone.
Does anyone know how I can fix it?
?
What steps did you follow, what ROM did you use?

OH SHOOOT! I'm a jackass!! I disconnected the dash before I did the second install to fix the keyboard.
Is there a way to get that fixed?
not quite sure
what you mean. After you flash the ROM then it goes through a couple of setup stages and reboots. You should then be presented with a working newly flashed rom at your new homescreen. You can then Activesync and copy over the keyboard fix and install it.

I dont think you understand what I mean. I cannot sync my dash at all. I've reseted both my pc and dash and nothing. I believe the computer is not recognizing the dash and I cannot connect online to even send/receive emails.
Again I ask, is there some way to fix this so I can at least sync my dash?

Place it on the memory card, then open up Resco File explorer find the file click on it, intall to phone.
Reboot phone.
If predictive txt is on? Open up messaging in the input text box press FN+space click abc as this will turn off predictive txt.
Glad you got it synced.

Well actually I called to see if there was a way to get my connection back. Because since I did this upgrade, I haven't had access to my email or instant messengers. Any suggestions?

Why is everyone so sarcastic around here? I'm not well educated in this subject, so that's why I joined...to get answers. I think the 6.1 is COOL but I can't access my email and messengers not to mention these weird text messages from 4570 and 4700...

My company sets PIN password policy, any way around this??

My company sets a PIN password policy on anyone that syncs with our exchange servers. Anyone know anyway around this policy?
stay unlock from zenyee.com may be what you're looking for.
Thanks! I installed it and it sounds like it will work wonderfully! Hey do you know if there is a way to find out any other policies they may have set?

ANY CHANCE to activate GPS and DATA by SMS?

I was wondering if is there any chance to make this work by sending an sms.
I need it to be on as i pretend to use a GPS tracking software to track my phone in case of lost or being robbed.
That software can be activated with an sms but if the gps and the data plan is not ative it is not gonna broadcast live positioning and so on
I guess my phone is goona need root permissions but i can't be so complicated if someone has got some development skills
It'd be so much appreciated!
thank you
Try WaveSecure.
it is not about software man, i need to turn on 3g and gps if not enabled, that's the quid!
thx

doesn't support gps at all.
it is possible, there is an app called locservice on the market, as long as it installed in /system/app it can enable the gps triggered by a sms. maybe the dev can help you, or you just use the app to turn it on and then do whatever you like...
Its not possible to do it in code, android removed this in the cupcake update, not sure if thats what your asking but anyway...

why does orange safeguard block xda?

orange (uk) has classified xda as only suitible for people over the age of 18 as it contains adult content ....... i dont understand this, what adult content? its a modding community not a porn site, can anything be done about this?

When I was an Orange customer, I had to ask them to turn off safeguard, PURELY FOR XDA AND NOTHING ELSE .
They did tell me that there's a page on their site where you can add a URL for a site that you believe should not be blocked, and they'll look into it. Since I was getting it turned off on my phone I never looked into it. If you do look into this, make sure you use the forum subdomain (forum.xda-developers.com, not www.xda-developers.com). It'll probably just go off the domain name, but better safe than sorry.
You could be responsible for fixing the issue for ALL xda users on Orange!

yeah im gunna nag them about it lol its stupid tho, my fuse is on vodafone and they dont have any problems with letting me on here lol i can't use my debit card to turn the safeguard off either cuz u need a credit card lol
can i ask whether this is with the phone you are browsing or using a mobile broadband dongle
ok
i had this trouble when i first used xda
the sloution is
for mobile broadband dongle
change the APN
if you can find it it should say orangeinternet, change this to consumerbroadband and voila
xda is unlocked
now for the phone
if you find its once worked but stopped then delete everything from opera
ire cache, cookie and history
then turn off phone and remove sim card
then once it back in it should work if this doesnt then alll i can suggest is going to
sart / settings / connections / connections
then make sure it says orange internet at the top of the screen
click on mange my existing connections
on the next screen , a tab called modem, make sure orange internet is selected from list then click edit
you should then get a screen saying enter a name for the connection, leave this as it is
then press next
this one should say access point name
and ir should say orangeinternet
change this to consumerbroadband
click next then finish
you should now be able to browse xda on you phone

Not much you can do
Bypassing Password could Work.
But without root nor Custom Recovery or any Tools absolutely Impossible.
Android offers more than enough ways to verify the User.
Pretty strange tough
Seems your Buddy doesnt even knows His own phonenumber and Email addy hmmmm...
