[Q] Server error has occurred - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone else receiving this when going into the downloads section of the market? I can get into the market itself fine...but when I hit menu...downloads... it tries to load the downloads and comes back with that error.
This started approximately 11 pm New York time.
I have a rooted stock 2.2.

I'm having the same problem. I've tried doing a factory reset and reinstalling Virtuous 2.7 and a NANDROID restore but both return the same issue.
Rooted, S-off, Virtuous 2.7 with Adrynalyne undervolt kernel.

Running into the same problem on stock non rooted DINC. Also trying to download new programs is taking forever to get to the point where it instals

This looks to be a problem with the android market and not with our phones. I say just sleep on it and try again in 6 hours.

Same here glad I didn't reset phone

[Q] Intermittent Data

I have never had this issue with any roms before.
I had been running Fresh Rom 3.1.0.2 or whatever, and recently upgraded to Fresh Rom 3.2
I made sure to wipe everything before installing this rom and now i have weird data issues no matter what rom i use
data works randomly no matter what signal strength i have with the market, signing into google, etc. ( i get network error messages loading market things saying i need to retry even though my browser works )
I have cleared everything many times trying different roms and updating my PRL and Profile also.
Most of the time my data arrows only show uploading too.
I am thinking about going and RUU to 2.1 or whatever and re rooting but which do i use? the PC36IMG.zip or RUU something? a little confused here.
i just wanna go back to stock everything to wipe everything and start fresh to make sure everything is fine.
Thanks!!
I've been having the same issue. A hard reset has fixed the problem, for today at least.

as far as hard reset, what are you referring to? powering off and pulling the battery? or what?
thanks!
I have been having the same issues. I just used the newest rooting method for 2.2 the other day. My web browsing and email pushes are fine but anything related to google (market, maps, signing in) fail out. I just tried wiping cache and it seems to work for now. It is extremely annoying.

Can't access Fresh's ROMs in ROM Manager

I'm getting error message: "Error occurred while processing the ROM list!"
I'm using the donate version of ROM Manager and I've already uninstalled it rebooted and installed again. I also tried accessing it over wifi and it's the same issue with that error message. I'm using CM6 Stable release and I'm wanting to go back to Fresh since I'm getting network errors on CM6. Can anyone chime in on this?
You're not alone, I've had the same problem since I started using Rom Manager a few weeks ago. No idea why though.

Yeah I did a couple of google searches and people are having the same issue. I don't know if it has something to do with the servers. What ROM are you using by the way?
I know I can just download the ROM and throw it on my SD card but I like the ability to download on the go and install. Some ROMs show up perfectly in ROM manager but there are a select few that give that error.
Sorry, wasn't keeping up with this thread. I'm using BakedSnack 1.7 (2.6.32.15 HeroMod), and the battery life is killer. I think I'm going to stick with it for a while.
As far as Rom Manager, Fresh's Roms are the only ones that don't show up. Not a big deal, just kinda weird.

[Q] Incredible Constantly Freezing

I just received a new incredible from verizon after rma'ing my first one and it is now constantly freezing while doing anything from browsing the web to texting. I rooted it with unrevoked 3 and then with forever. So I have s-off. I am running Skyraider 3.3.2. I thought that it might be a kernal problem so I have tried the stock htc kernal, kings, and ziggy's but none of them have fixed the problem and i have frozen up on all of them. I have not had it overclocked. Could it be a radio problem? I have my radio updated to 2.15.00.09.01.
Any further information needed?
Did you try another ROM? Did you try the phone with the stock HTC setup before rooting and flashing SkyRaider, and was it acting up then too?
Is there any mention of this on the Skyraider thread?
Abesnt that, go to Settings>Applications and look through each one, see which one(s) have a lot in the cache, and clear it.
Also, how many apps are you syncing, and with what frequency?
Finally, prior the the freeze-ups beginning, did you d/l and install any apps?
Solving for (working backwards) you uninstalling the most recently installed apps, one-by-one, and see whether those impact the freezing.
Didn't try with stock setup. I will try to redownload/reflash SR and if that doesn't work I'll try another rom.
I have glanced over the skyraider thread and there hasn't been any mention of it to my knowledge (the thread has 4500+ posts). The only apps that are syncing are Gmail, Fbook (was 2 hours, now 8), News (4 hours), and Weather.com (not sure). I haven't done dl'd any new apps since I downloaded the apps that I used on my previous phone.
I am with Mark. I would definitely try another ROM / Kernal setup. The Radio could cause slowness but not likely.
Redemptive rEVO 2.1
Hydra Kernal
Switched to Redemptive rEVO and I am still getting the same freezing problems. Thinking that this refurbished phone from verizon is junk and may have to RMA it aswell
Hey what about trying the ROM manager then fix permission. She if that might work.

My rooted EVO can send txts but not receive?

I'm currently using Cm7. I just rooted it tonight and I'm currently not being able to receive txts. I rooted using Revoked and clockwork recovery.
Did I root wrong? I tried wiping and reflashing different wrongs. I also tried downloading different Messaging apps such as: ChompSms and Handcent, still no luck. Please help
Did you update all radio/WiMAX/PRI/NV?
I'm having the same issue. I was running the latest Calukin rom (which has sense) and all of the sudden it stopped, I uninstalled all my apps, nothing, I flashed to mikfroyo, nothing. Updated my prl and profile, nothing.
I experienced a similar issue switching from one CM7 nightly to another, I forget which I was upgrading from/to. To resolve the issue, I restored the nandroid backup of the last working ROM I had, verified things were working again, and reflashed the latest nightly from there. Good luck, hope this helps...

[Q] MIUI rooted Desire randomly restarts

So, I have HTC Desire with rooted MIUI rom for a while.
HTC Desire, GSM, MIUI 2.1.6
It was okay until 5th January. I have about 25 installed apps and anything was fine. Few days ago I noticed strange "Force stop" in apps like Twitter, Foursquare, Internet Browser.
Then the same started to happen with random restarts of the phone. The phone simply started, then restarted and entered into bootscreen loop, so I ejected battery and inserted and so on. Clearing Dalvik Cache doesn't help.
Also when I try to enter Wi-Fi settings it freezes and gives out "Force close application?" That's just ridiculous!
I have lately updated from previous MIUI version 2.1.4 because that problem started there, but with no changes.
Can you please help here?
i have always faced similar issues with MIUI , my phone doesnt like it
so i have simply stopped using it
edit: if you still want to use MIUI id suggest you stick with a stable version for a while rather than weekly updates
Well, it really might be like that. Seems like I fixed those issues by doing a full phone wipe and fresh flash. Which release can you suggest me?
Wich releases did you try before ?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I have MIUI on mine and flash each update. The biggest issue I have is that it tries to update and always fails with an E:\SDCard error in recovery. I just download and then flash the full rom (no wipes) and it works a treat. The one issue I have with 2.16 is that SMS messages disappear below my 'Better Keyboard' where they didn't in the version prior. I've switched to Android keyboard now but have yet to see if the issue persists. That said, it is by far the most stable ROM I've ever used and I'm running 40+ apps on it with zero problems.

As far as it is, it looks fine. No big problems at all. The only issue is that I backed up 5000+ messages back to phone, I like to store them there. Sometimes seems like it is a little hard for android to hold so many sms's.
