[Q] i suspect the mic doesnt work in phone call

hi,
i have try to boot android to my touch pro2, and seem like every thing work fine. anyhow, i found the mic doesnt work during i make a call or i answer a call. i can hear the voice from the other party, howerer they couldnt hear me.
did anyone have the same problem like me?
how did you solve it? can you share with me??

I swear this problem has been licked. However, on the speakerphone front that does not work yet. There's a patch, but it hasn't been commited yet. However, 'normal' phone calls (no speakerphone) the mic should work just fine.
Please make sure your build is COMPLETELY up to date.
System image (system.ext2), kernel & modules (zImage/modulesxxxxxx.tar.gz), and rootfs (rootfs.img).

If you're asking, if an app installed from the market, yes it can be installed on the sd card. Click settings on the bottom right and choose "sd card"

did u mean "sd card and phone storage"?
i did enter to the menu, but what to do next? because i didnt see any option for me to choose to install the application....

WTF are you talking about...? Everything is already on the SD card, installing it on the SD card does no good. Android is on the SD, that's all it knows. All data is stored there as well, any user apps/changes you make are in the data.img... Which is on the SD.

It's not available yet, sorry... When WisTilt2 gets it committed, everyone can use it.

camera dont save

I have a typical problem, from last week.
Whenever i take picture from camera the photos are not saved there.
Rarely the photos are saved but that too remain there till next reboot.
Also the second thing i noticed is of the old pics i have, if i delete some pics then they re appear after reboot.

I donno but.. MAY b a VIRUS??

now actually the problem is severe not only with the camera but the other apps
I cant download anything on mobile and bluetooth transfer also fails
even i cant copy anything within the mobile itself
After that i did unmount and mount sd card and it worked for 10-15 min and same prob again
so are the problems same??? What to do.
P.S. :- where to ask such queries if this is wrong section. I am new to this forums.

i had this problem before with an old sdcard and this is what i done....
i inserted it on my pc with an sdcard adaptor and low level format it with this tool then i inserted it into my phone and tried to download something from internet and it worked again

Help Write / Copy / Sync Music after ICS update

OK the other week I updated to ICS as I have said in other posts and have not been able to unlock the bootloader because of the kernel version (587).
I use double twist which is a good app to use in a itunes type style app.
Question 1
Has ICS locked my ext mem card somehow so I cannot copy manually? (I doubt it but I have to ask)
Question 2
What can I do to resolve this? (Apart from down grading the kernel etc and the unlocking)

W... what..? As far as I know kernel have nothing to do with bootloader unlocking.
Do these steps and if you've got "yes" then use official method if "no" then google testpoint method and read a lot because I'm not sure if this is safe or will work.

2. Go to Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. Check if Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes in this section.

So if I reformat my sd card I will lose all data on there. Not that bothered about the music and vids etc but I suppose I will have to reinstall any apps I have assigned to sd card.

Just as a note I have resolved this issue with a workaround. I removed my sd card and connected it to my laptop with the Sony E adapter usb dongle
This allowed me to edit the files and then copy / sync across with Double Twist
Once I put the sd card back in the phone it registered and all my tunes were in place.
To me it looks like something on the phone was stopping me editing my folders etc.

Install b117 of chinese. In this firmware u can set sd card as default storage for installations. It does not have Google apps but u can manually download them. :good:

I found two methods that work for me.
The first is to root the device, and then I found an app2sd app in the market that lets me move apps.
The second is to use adb and run:

So, I say there are other ways.

foldermount is the answer guys! finally i can move the huge data from fifa 2012 to the sd card :highfive:!

What firmware do you have? I have C00B114 and foulderMount does not work.

[ROOT] Method to move apps to sd card! (TESTED)
This method tested and work on B111, B114, B117, B118, 119, 122!
-Copy the file to your phone Signed_116.zip.
-Log into the CWM, hit the install zip / choose zip from sdcard on, find the zip file and install it!
-Reboot your phone if all goes well then the settings from "default location" option will appear under the / Hosting option.
-If you do not go after them or gives an error on the dial, [Phone.apk] must be copied into the system / app folder, replace the old one and set permission to rw-r-r.

Install Signed 116 w/ phoneapk.zip !

I have a 02 contract sim catd I could call and text but data is not available and when i gp into phone status the number of thr sim card is unknow. Also when I go into terminal and type in sim card is says not found even though I could make calls but no data.

1: Your carrier could have disabled data at server level (unlikely unless you asked for it, they generally prefer you wasting money ) -- or your APN settings might be wrong. (I assume you already checked the mobile data on/off option, right?)
2: That's for reference only. To edit that field, both the card and the phone must support that operation. As far as I know Android doesn't support this (The iPhone and... uh, the Motorola 8700 do)
3: That's totally not how the terminal works!
