I have some questions for all the cm 6 users out there. I tried this a while back and could not get the sprint visual voicemail to work and the camera seemed like it wasn't full resolution. I've done some searching but couldn't find a good answer to either of these so I need some help from all the users. All I want is visual voicemail and the camera to work properly. Thanks in advance.

Just get the Sprint Voicemail apk and the Camera works just fine. Just cuz it doesn't fill the screen doesn't mean its not full resolution. The pics are 8mp if you set it to that setting.
Yeah I would notice the camera didn't necessarily appear to be full res but final pictures looked just as good. As far as VM, I used GVoice so I'm not enitirely sure there.

Yeah sprint voicemail works.. need the apk for it and install. Never had a problem..

What kind of battery life is everybody getting?
How do I set GV in my phone as the primary VM. My phone says that Sprint doesn't support it. Any tips?

As noted the sprint_vvm.apk needs to be found and installed.
The camera app in CM6 doesn't have the widescreen resolution.
Early on I bought Camera360 to see if the photos would come out better. I'm using that now and it supports the widescreen resolution. Has some other nice features like IS.
your 'issues' are old and have been resolved.
battery life depends on how you use your device.
how you device is configured/setup
what kernel you are using
i have run cm6 with my standard usage for over 28hrs w/ the snap kernel. some can't make 14hrs. /shrug same issue as with the Sense ROMs.

I really really love the miui interface but i dont want the problems. Does anyone know a way i can get the miui look/theme with out app drawer, and with out the miui rom bugs.

As a current miui user I say try the rom before u say it has so many "bugs". The only thing I'm missing is 4G but I don't need it

Also it says i have 11 voicemails and i cant dial *86
Go to VM settings and replace *86 with yours tel number

That's been fixed for 2 or 3 weeks for me.
well for me its stayed the same.... i have the latest version of miui (1.4.22) idk how to fix it please help
call sprint and ask them to clear your voicemail. explain that there are voicemails that got caught between phones. you might have to flash a sense rom to enter the codes the give you but they should be able to clear it off their server. worked for me. i promise! i hated it too!

There really aren't bugs in MIUI evo I don't know what you heard..

I was one always afraid to jump onto MIUI. No 4G was the biggest factor against me not switching.
I finally flashed 1.4.15 and what an enjoyable experience. Since I have upgraded to 1.4.22 + Tiamat 3.3.8, it's been the quickest, best battery life, essentially the best rom i've ever used.
I suggest you give it a spin. Just nandroid your current setup, play with MIUI for a few days and if you don't like, you can always switch back.

I just updated, signed in and tried to do a video chat both ways....tried calling someone and had someone call me and NOTHING....still same old thing for us! The UI looks a little bit better then their old one but I'm sure this will be a matter of time before someone disables the device check on this and cracks this sucker wide open for everyone!!
That's what I am hoping for...if we can fool the app into thinking we have a supported phone it could work...

I tried this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1148708 and is a step in the right direction for us because I'm able to receive video calls as well as make them BUT the cameras don't seem to work because I can't see anyone and they can't see me...............NOW I know you're thinking that this is useless but before the video chat feature wouldn't even show up in the regular app so all we have to do is figure out this camera issue and we got ourselves video chat!!!...haha

Know this an old thread but had issues still with the latest and now, Just updated throught the market, am running "Freshhh" from "Flipzmode" 4.0 build 4.54.651.1 and everything works on video chat, both cams and group.
Just like the title say I'm running the newest fresh rom my prl is 22802 I have all the apn settings but still nothing I've search every forums thats out for 4 months and still a no go any help
Oh and I have the data plan with frawg

I have no idea where that is. I can't find any info on "nTelos" under a search for either "mms issues" or "miui" or any combo. Can you just tell me what you did to get your Evo to work on nTelos?
flash ntelos smartphone prl using a flash program qpst or cdma workshop u got to know what they flashed your phone under etc. htc desire use that mms settings to get internet and pics to work

Is it possible to flash it myself? I know they use Houdini at the store to flash it, and I'm quite sure I can flash it, I just needed to know how to get data and MMS working. Can you maybe be a little more specific?
i borked my mms, again. and ended up using app manager off of 4 shared on the market. sending is great, full picture great normal quality, but receiving is really poor. Its a full size picture but really really poor quality. the muiu thread was just a search for mms fix for ntelos and in google that one fix seemed to work, but was just easier downloading app manager. Yeah, its very frustrating, i would pay for an app that works good, but so far nothing is available.
Ok, so once again i'm wrong. went to the guy who flashed my phone and he reinstalled the app again on my phone for free! It took all of 5 min. Got to talking with him and he said that he spent months trying to come up with something that worked with sending and receiving mms, in the way the phone should. And if you live in lynchburg va. or near he works at unlimited wireless on wards rd. great guy his name is cris. thanks Cris! everything i tried would not work, smsgopro, handescent,chomp, change apn manually through voice dialer, ##3282# and changing them there. ya know, all the easy fixes. MMS has been a big problem for alot of phones. But in may the evo4glte comes out, sorry OG....RIP.

I'm going to fall back to stock as my cell signal has not been working well since I moved to custom roms. Also I can't get on at&t's wifi which is helpful at work
Anyway the one thing I will miss the most is the latest version of the messaging app. Is this something I can back up and restore in stock? Latest works so much better at group messaging than gosms

It worked well for me but I don;t use group messaging.
Ask ka dev who has is in their ROM how they did or what walk-through would work best.
does anyone know a camera oriented rom or the best app for camera modes and features, I'm into phone photography and am trying to make the most out of my S4
Your best bet would be to search for the best camera with your preferences and get the apk file for said camera. As for a ROM, with as much time/effort it takes to build a ROM, I dont think there is such a ROM that you are looking for giving that not many people ask about or want one. I could be wrong tho. Find a nice slim custom ROM and set up your phone as you see fit.
