My Desire is now stuck in a force close loop with HTC Sense (launcher) and is essentially useless.
Have to open another program from notification bar then use search button to find and load my apps.
Every time I go back to the home page it gets stuck on its loop again!
this is obviously not ideal - anyone got a fix for me or am I gonna have to take it back to the shop?

for the mean time just use panda home or launcher pro...
What you need to do is to go into your Application Settings, look up HTC Sense and clear the data.
To get there, just keep hitting the Search button and search for "Application"
Thanks ohyeahar - that worked great
Think is because my droid is so low on memory... Grr

Hi -
I've got a rooted Incredible running Skyraider 3.1 Sense RC3, Launcher Pro, with the Incredible Revolution theme and my screen has started freaking out. Nothing I press in the bottom row of the screen works. When I go to the app drawer, it just scrolls up and down the drawer any time I touch any part of the screen.
When I long press widgets on the homescreen, I can feel the Inc vibrate just a little but the trash can doesn't pop up and I can't move the widgets.
Can anyone help? I've tried rebooting but that didn't work.
Thanks.
edit: fixed with a battery pull
The obvious question: If you nandroid back to your previous OS, does the problem go away?

I had bad luck with my nandroids causing my phone to get stuck on the splash screen, so I was hoping to do it without that.
Someone suggested a battery pull and that fixed it. I hadn't realized that a battery pull and an on/off accomplish different things.
The defy has 6. And a home page. Im not using two of them how do i remove them? Tmobile was no help. 2nd question is there something that can rotate my screen upside down. ? Thanks for reading
I'm not sure whether you can do it with the stock launcher (though you should be able to) but I know with LauncherPro you can choose the number of homescreens by pressing Menu, then Preferences > Homescreen Settings.
thanks
I gave it a shot it works well. However i just don't like the home icons. I like the ones that came with it. (3) call. The circle thing and contacts is there any way to get them with launcher pro?
Well, you can change the default icons long-pressing on them. Choose the default ones or find some nice icon online and change it
Thanks

Hi, I am using 2.2 and sometimes my device hangs and reboots itself. When i was in landscape befor then the homescreen is in landscape after auto- reboot. So technically landscape is possible, but how to switch its orientation by yourself is a other question.
Greetings
To make it go to landscape once ur in launcherpro hit the 4 square button then behavior then check auto rotate. U should b good.

Guessing by general knowledge stock ADW.
Have you tried a different launcher or updating ADW from the Play Store?
There was an option in ADW to lock the desktop
I don't remember from where as i have deleted it long time ago (Launcher PRO PLUS FTW !! )
I think if u press the menu button you'll see that option but I'm not sure

Please help because this is getting annoying on my phone. Everytime i leave sense by opening an app or a game and come back to sense (closing the app or pressing home) sense has to redraw with the 'loading' thing and the circle spinning. it also shows that i have 140mb of free memory left.... please help.
Go to settings, phone, developer options, app, "don't keep activities" option must be off. Hope it will help

just checked and it was off
It destroys all activities as soon as user leave it. It means if you are going in an app, you are leaving sense and the process will be killed so when you go back to mainscreen it must restart sense process each time

Yeah, but i think the problem is that there is less than normal memory (130 mb) i've read that android closes the launcher when memory overlaods, but this thing is just new and even if i clear from the sense task manager i still get 140 mb

This works for me=> clear all apps from multi tasking bar => disable fastboot=> and do a cold reset (hold power button, press restart).
I do it once a week. Sense is rubbish - i use apex. its fast and the only thing I miss would be the email and clock widgets, but there's market replacements
some guy once said that if you enable the don't keep activities, reboot, then disable that option (and reboot again i think), it fixes it.
he reckoned that it got stuck kind of halfway between the two settings, wouldn't surprise me if he was right.
Hey guys, I just installed the CM10 custom rom for JB 4.1 on my htc one v. Everything works great, but I just can't stand having that ugly Google search bar on top of the home screen.
I don't want to use GoLauncher or anything like that to remove it, so I was hoping you guys know a mod that'll help.
I've tried installing this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1741038 but it seems I've gotten ahead of myself, and broke something with this mod, so the phone keeps restarting after 5sec of run time. The mod is for 5x4 grid sized phones... and I kinda ignored that thinking it'll work fine :>
Please help me find a working mod, or a solution to end the restarts
Lol easy
Settings
Launcher
Home screen
Deselect the persistent search bar
Now come to ur home screen chick and hold the Google search bar and remove like any other widget
And there ur done
