Froyo for Desire with SLCD and 0,75

Hello everybody ),
last week, i get a new Desire with Android 2.1 and t-mobile branding. I think it is the SLCD-Version because there are no "AMOLED" on the box and the SN is HT07Z [the end of July 2010].
Now i want to flash the device with froyo but i can´t find any manuals. There are only Manuals for other bootloader - versions.
Is it possible to flash the Device with froyo and rebrand it, if i need it for warranty?
Greets from germany & sorry for bad english x.X
SLCD Screen and Hboot 0.75 .... Are you sure?
I think, in the attach file you can see a picture from the display in cameramode.
greets
Is it possible to check the version of the display with a other method?
Go to bootloader to check waht h boot you have
1. Turn phone off
2. Hold Volume down button and push the power button
3. now a menu come and at the top you will see the h boot version

It's possible that HTC has added the SLCD driver to HBOOT 0.75, though it would be more likely that you have an AMOLED screen.
Either way you can debrand/upgrade to Froyo, as it is the same version for either screen.
h boot is o.75... search for unrevoked 3....also in xda is a thread of it....
if you have flashed unrevoked your phone is rooted and you can acceses the recovery menu from clockwork
if you flash a original rom the recovery (unrevoked) is deleted (for warrenty)
but i´m not sure with the rom´s..but i also think that there was a thread for (if you really have slcd)...search
with kind regards..Alex
In our german-android-forum are a lot of user, who think they have a SLCD with 0.75.
The Question is: will a hboot 0.75 version release, which include SLCD, to rebrand the device :/

Root (Branding) + AuraxTSense rom?

Hey there,
I'm planning to root my Desire.
It is Vodafone Germany Branded (vodafone scene included) and I
updated to 2.2 with the official Vodafone Update (OTA, some weeks ago)
Now I found a tutorial here with unrevoked to root every Desire with any HBOOT.
My HBOOT version is 0.93.0001 !
But i read something like "i need a goldcard to root when my desire is branded"
Is this goldcard needed to root with unrevoked because my desire is branded by vodafone?
When I'm in the Bootloader (Vol. Down + Power ) i get this information:
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.93.0001
MICROP-031d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
RADIO-5.09.05.30_2
HBOOT
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
CLEAR STORAGE
SIMLOCK
My Desire has got an AMOLED Display.
What do I Have to do? Do i have to root with Goldcard+unrevoked or just with unrevoked?
After rooting i want to flash the "AuraxTSense V.7.8.1" Rom.
This won't be a problem right?
Thanks
I have a Softbank branded desire and unrevoked worked fine for me.
Same here with Dutch Vodafone image. I just did the root with Unrevoked using a Linux live CD (SLAX). It reboots a couple of times and now is successfully rooted!!
Use unrevoked , i think it goes fine with 0.93 hboot.
Search the threat that explains how to use unrevoked.
Good luck.
Moved to Q&A. Please don't post question threads in Development.
You need a gold card to use the hboot downgrade utility that will flash an official HTC WWE ROM with the older hboot 0.80..
This can then be rooted by Unrevoked, if you were still on 2.1 Eclair then the gold card wouldn't have been needed

Using UnRevoked http://rootmydroid.co.uk/guides/gen...esire-wildfire-evo-incredible-with-unrevoked/
I just rooted succesfully WITHOUT a gold card. So you don't need it, even if you accepted an official update (OTA)
Thanks to all replies

[Q] Unrooting HTC Desire

Hey Guys,
I've got an HTC Desire, from 3 - it came with all the Three UK stuff on it (like the boot screen etc), but I rooted it, and flashed it with OXYGEN MOD, the latest one...but I'm now sending my phone in for a small repair job, and need to reflash it to stock.
I've made the goldcard etc, and am trying to flash it with an RUU H3G_UK rom, which I downloaded (RUU_Bravo_H3G_UK_1.22.771.1_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_127568_signed.exe). However, when I try to update it using PB99IMG.zip method, it says:
Code:
'Main Version is older!'
'Update Fail!'
'Do you want to reboot device?'
'<VOL UP> Yes'
'<VOL DOWN> No'
Any ideas as to what I should do?
Cheers. Phil.
Oh, and I thought I should post this too:
Code:
BRAVO PVT4 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.93.00001
MICROP-051d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNW0101
RADIO-5.11.05.14

Yep this happens because you will not be able to downgrade the hboot with this official update, and because it is an old 3 rom, it contains an old bootloader.
You will either have to find a newer 3 rom with something like 0.93 bootloader or a newer wwe rom(3/htc won't care).
You might also be able to somehow flash an older bootloader using an s-off bootloader and fastboot, and then run the update afterwards, but that is way too complicated.
Which part of this?:
Code:
RUU_Bravo_H3G_UK_1.22.771.1_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_127568_signed.exe
...contains the HBOOT version?
It doesn't, but the branded official roms are always that old, and as the rom version is 1.xx i know it is an android 2.1 rom, which means hboot 0.75 or 0.80.
Also your error message state the problem quite clearly.
And to clarify my last answer.. No you will not be able to find a 3 branded rom with a 0.93 hboot, so go for a wwe instead.
What about this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=768256
Don't use that - your Desire didn't come on that 3 UK RUU so no idea how it'll behave as you have a PVT4 Desire
There isn't a newer RUU and those old ones are for AMOLED Desire's only - you're kinda stuck
That might and might not work. It depends on the hboot included. The topic you link to uses a hboot version 0.83, because it works with all slcd phones as well. So if the 3 ruu contains 0.83 as well, this should work, and if it doesn't, you wont be able to install it anyway.
Now for gods sake please listen to me when i tell you that neither 3 nor htc will care whether your phone contains a branded rom.. They might not even care if it is rooted. So please just flash the damn wwe 2.2 rom...
My last post in here i think you get what i think you should do and i cant/wont help you risking doing something stupid.
Good news fellows
I flashed it using this:
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.2_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_151783_signed
and it worked no problem, I'm now back running Froyo 2.2 woop. cheers!

[Q] am i able to turn s-off on my wildfire

im a little confused would i be able to turn s-off on my wildfire ?
my phone details...
hboot-0.80.0002
radio-3.35.20.10
microp-0622
android version-2.2.1
baseband 12.55.55.24h_2.35.20.10
kernal 2.6.32.21
if i am able to turn s-off on my phone would you be nice enough to link me to the right page ?
thanks in advance !!
You will have to upgrade to an official Froyo build before you can get S-OFF. AlphaRev X supports only HBoot 1.01x devices. Not the older 0.80x devices. (Yet)
Use the WWE 2.22.405.1 RUU from Shipped ROM's, and after that, you should be good to go.
thanks for your help i shall be doing this shortly
