XDA android app is not found in market anymore. From market I am notified that there is an update for XDA-Developers but when I go into its market page I get not found. Can someone confirm that problem?
I use SGS I9000 (PDA I9000XWJs5, PHONE I9000XXJPY, CSC I9000XENJS3). Thanks!
PS: Paid version is visible on market
I can only find the paid version now and the last update pretty much ruined the free version for me so I restored an older version.

I got an update ealier today and it downloaded fine... (Free version)
I noticed that the favorites were not working anymore after the update. Deleting them and setting them again solved the problem ...

They are sorting out bugs, check the xda twitter account...
I just went ahead and got the paid version.
Slightly different theme and no adds. Probably not worth it but meh

Also I find (since the upgrade, still on free version) that when now clicking on threads I've participated in, that it goes to the 1st and not the last or previous page I'd viewed before.
Don't know if that's meant to encourage us subliminally to get the paid version
Think I'll just see if I can rollback on the udpate.
On a "specific" app that I'm using that allows me to download stuff, I'm getting thus error when I click the link...
java.io.IOException
It was running good couple of hours ago, curious if anybody encountered or knows about this, thanks.

Way too broad of an exception for any useful information. If it's an unhandled exception, though, it's the app developer's problem to fix.
If you try to report the error, click the Preview button instead of send, and check the Stack Trace. That would tell you the line in code where it's occuring, but unless it's open source, that isn't going to help you.
Thanks.....

Wondering if its just me or what? When i open up youtube it says "this list can't be viewed", I can still search and view videos, it just doesn't show my subscriptions. Anybody else having this problem?

Yea I had the same issue! So I uninstalled the youtube app then downloaded a older version I found here. The current version on the Market seems to be broken! Works great now. Here is the link!

No but the new YouTube update broke my voice actions. When I try and use it this windows pops up and tells me to sign in. I have to re-click it again for it to work. Damn Google framework interfering. Anyone else have this problem?

I was upset because all of my subs were missing and no matter what I tried nothing would show. Checked the Market and pretty much everyone who had either updated or just installed was rating the app 1 star with the same problem. So definitely has to do with their latest update.
I'm running this older version and its working like a charm. Also if you have your apps set to automatically update, you should go in there and check that off so that you don't accidentally run an update that might cause this type of problem in the future.
I've done it in the past where I will allow automatic updating on all apps, and paid the price when an update just seems to be bad. So double check that in your app settings from the market.
I just use the browser and maximize.
Since yesterday, every link I click says the following:
"An error occurred while downloading information from IceFilms"
Using newest version. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Same
Anybody else?
I had a problem once with links saying not found. I was told to install a ad blocker which I did and it fixed it. You could try that

No go. Adaway was installed and up to date already. Uninstalled and had same issue. Installed Adfree and same issue.
Same problem here. Since yesterday, same error message
ok. sorry you have this issue, but glad I'm not alone. I can't believe there isnt anything about this that I can find.
Have you emailed the developer? Could be server issues...could be copyright issues

It's not on the market.. not sure who developer is. The normal site seems to be working fine. I thought it just used that for the app

The app developer now has megastream pro I believe. He is probably not going to develop the icestream anymore as it would cut into any profit he could make. I hope im wrong as I love icestream
from my note 2
Yeah, what happened?
Is IceFilms down or is it the app?
Hope it's temporary, this app was my life!
Try asking Dev on ice films forum.
Edit:
Dev, 20 Oct
Hey Everyone, just wanted to apologize to everyone who's grown to love this app. Unfortunately my day job has been keeping me too busy to devote any real time to updating this app. However, I am still looking for any seasoned Java/Android developers who are willing to help out. If that's you, please drop me a line. In case I don't find anyone willing/able to help out or commit, I am hoping to release parts of this app's code. I'd love to release all the code to this app, however, large parts of it is commercial code that I can't make public. But I am planning on releasing the parts that seem to change constantly (ie: the parts that handle parsing the various file hosts' websites) so that anyone will be able to help out. It's gonna take a bit of time to change the project around to make that possible, but at least there's light at the end of the tunnel
Thanks,
Harry

Haha, thought it was a paid streaming service like Netflix only in the US, will try.
So, could you tell me how to get IceFilms on it, I'm not very familiar with this stuff.

In the second post of that thread there is a link to a list of XBMC repos. One of them is for icefilms. The one you really want is 1channel, way better than icefilms.

I agree 1 channel seems to work better than ice films usually. In addition, there are some android apps that come and go that access the sites 1channel index's. Recently there was one called tv portal that was just pulled and currently there is one called TV Stream
XMBC works well but last time i used it which was about month ago it absolutely kills batteries and loading plugins like 1 channel can take quite a while.
Also here is a good place to get ice stream although as others have said it is not currently working
http://slideme.org/application/ice-stream
XBMC is too advanced for me, and not optimized for touch.
But i found mega stream on 1Mobile Market (great app btw) and it's almost as simple as Ice Stream.
Any fix
same thing happening for me, I think it's a problem server-wise from icefilms, anybody have a fix yet for it though?

Dev has shut down server for app, try Mega Stream (download from 1Mobile Market), XBMC or other website.
Or if you're a dev you could help the dev with the app.
Yeah, using icefilms.info and getting the rapidshare links..then posting them into megastream pro..that's the way i'm doing it.. it takes about 15 seconds longer than the old ice stream app way
Greetings all,
after a long hiatus away... I'm back lurking around XDA ;-P
For a long while I was accessing XDA via Tapatalk app on android.
One day it stopped working, so I stopped coming... I hate using laptop for getting my Forum fix (although, this is how thread is being created).
Anyhow, I've just purchased a sparkly new mobile phone i.e. Asus Rog Phone 3.
So, I'd thought I'd DL the XDA app and get back in the mix.
Issue is when I try and login via app, Chrome and Firefox pop up on bottom of screen!?
I can however browse the forum via app as a guest.
I'm assuming there is an easy fix for this issue, I just cant seem to find it.
Help appreciated and TIA.

The app uses a browser to authorize the login.
There were some problems with Firefox, not sure status of that.
