so who recieved his phone yet?

now that they are in stock it should be with some of you by now
1- what are your first impressions of the device.
2- how solid does the build quality seem? is it too plasticy? how solid is the sliding and tilting mechanism ?
3- how good (stablility, speed, software) of the stock rom. seems HTC has started putting some really nice ROM since they released the HD.
4- whos gonna be cooking for this phone. any famous chefs
5- is the speaker phone really a lot better than other phones?
6- any disappointing things about it?
7- can we safely say that there is no GPS lag issues like the ones found in other QC-based phones
8- where did you get the phone and how much did you pay for it

The phones could be ordered in the UK today. So tomorrow for sure someone will have the phone.

the June launch is for Verizon & Sprint USA...looks like it's available now in the UK! yippi

I really want this phone but have to wait till like July 22 or something like that for it to come to T-mobile USA But when someone gets this phone could they please tell how the video performance is, and also the quality of music being played through the speakers

I'm really excited about the Touch Pro2 coming to the US sooner than expected. I've had a Touch pro and Touch HD running at edge speeds for a while now. Finally I can get basically a Touch HD with full Qwerty board and 3G AT&T speed.
The Tg01 is exciting with a 1Ghz processor and 4.2" screen, but I've been missing out on 3G speed and a full qwerty for too long now.

^ agree bro, the TP2 is state of the art with 3G for us in the usa right NOW!
we can check out the TG01, Star, etc. when they come to us later...

Anyone got theirs delivered yet?

you are the first one in xda to receive his tp2. dont feel shy share your experiance

It comes with a case in the retail box. It look like a leather pouch with a magnetic lock, the TP2 slide in from the side.

Good News...Badly waiting for it...Looks like the rates are cheaper than what u get in europe...Not sure what's the catch....

WOW they keep rolling them out to other countries despite that according to htc they 'cant keep up with demand' and that is just demand in the uk. i guess this is the reason for the delays ......
however it is good news for those of you who want to pick one up on contract i guess

-You can buy phone from carriers but still have to pay the unlocked price
Recently they released in germany and checked amazon and other sites...its already out of stock in Germany...so Even the phone is announced in india...only the almighty knows how long it will take to actually feel one in hand

really all sim unlocked sounds better than on contract i always import sim-free and no where usually want to sell new handset sim free unlocked and unbranded which is frustrating otherwise id probably have one in my hands already.
i guess htc must just want to get it out there as a sort of advertisement for the product, to get people stuck on never ending waiting lists lol

@v6kgang - well all i can say is that the phone was supposed to release in Nov thru vodafone not bundled or sumthin may be for the launch of 3G but as vodafone 3G is delayed till next year so i think it will be available from local dealers. Since vodafone guys have no clue i managed to get hold of the official distributor for htc devices in kolkata he is saying that the phone shud be here soon but not willing to give definate dates. but he said one thing for sure the phone is definately coming nd pretty soon. So i have my fingers crossed that the 10th dec date is proper info ...
@Noobdeagle - v6kgang is correct there are jbarely 5% of the phones which are branded but they are mostly low end basic phones.

@Noobdeagle - LOL...was thinking about the same thing...they are not able to keep the promise in europe for timely delivery...They just want to add Asian customers as well to the waiting list i guess...
@gaurav - Knew it mate...u can never trust these guys...i still remember iphone came after 2 years to india on contract and is still being sold at around 30K. If it is sold through retailers the price would be un-imaginable...should well cross the 34K mark...lets keep our fingers crossed

hey guys i got some news from mumbai and trust me its gud news i have just confirmed from Alfa stores in mumbai dat Desire Z is available with dem nd by next week the desire hd will be available tooo .. and Desire z is priced at Alfa for 29,000/- so i hope Desire HD will be priced well above 35,000/-...

I got news that DHD will be launched after December 28. And pricing is the issue for not launching now.

I'm waiting for the mobile to get released officially , even thought the grey market price is 33k in bangalore.. Hope so the wait is worth it..

hey guys got confirmed news from source in kolkata that the phone is coming next week by 22nd or 23rd which means next week. well i think that means the price tussle between the distributors nd htc is over. THANK GOD FOR THAT .. well the price still seems to be 30k+.... but still i have my fingers crossed nd hope htc follows the schedule this time.

Allshare Cast release date?

I thought about posing this question in the Q&A section but since it is an accessory I thought I’d list it here. Has anyone heard of a planned release date for the Allshare Cast dongle? I saw Amazon is taking orders at $100 saying it “usually ships within 1-2 months” but that’s not exactly precise.

Did you ever find out your answer? I need to buy on of these asap. I saw it on amazon too and it says 1-3 months now. Are they not available in the USA yet? Also I called the Official Samsung Accessories department today and the guy was very helpful, but had NEVER heard of this device. Seriously, I sent him a few links of the device on Amazon and the Review of the device off Engadget. He called me back to let me know, no one there had ever heard of it either.....Weird!

From all I've heard it should be last week of August in UK, and I just don't get why we get the high end phones released and announced first over here because we are one of the biggest markets, but Samsung always give us the accessories last and not bother with any firm release dates, I mean a lot of people are already pissed off with lack of Mass storage mode and External App moving so you'd think they'd have enough sense to get the accessories out as quick as possible to divert attention away from everything else they messed up.

Yeah I know what you mean... I mean stupid HTC has there Media Link out already. It does practically the same thing, but from what I have seen, it isnt quite as good. I wonder if it is even compatible with with other android devices. I want the Allshare Dongle because as a teacher I want to use its presentation mode for power point.
Hey guys, one more thing, I also Have a Nexus 7, you think I could install Allshare on the Tab an use the dongle with the tab as well? That would be ideal!

Allshare funcion uses wireless lan (router) to stream only videos, photos and music.
Allshare cast dongle uses Wi-Fi Direct technology to create mirror of the phone on the TV screen (you can also play games). You don't have to be in the area with wi-fi network.
Allshare cast dongle only works with Galaxy S3.

Here in sweden we have had it for about 2weeks now and my two cents in the matter is,,,,as of now the dongle doesn't work very well ,,
No 1080p , problems with connection, picture in picture (popup play) doesn't work,
Overall iam kind of disappointed
Hopefully a fw upgrade will correct some or all of the problems

This great little Android 4.1 smartphone has been released to the German market a week ago. At a price tag of merely 150,00 Euro, it's a steal.
But no fun without root, right ?
Now, Huawei locks and secures the bootloader, which makes flashing a custom recovery impossible without messing with the bootloader code itself.
Luckily, i found out that you can request a bootloader unlock-token on the Chinese Huawei website. After unlocking with
Code:
fastboot oem unlock XXX16-digits-codeXXX
we can flash a china-made (aka chinese-language only) ClockworkMod v6.1, that has been compiled for the Y300. After installing SuperSU from CMW, you GOT ROOT.

For you it would be around 190$ in comparison to 150€. 1€ equals 1,31$ at the moment.
The signal is way better than my SGS+ I used before I got my Y300. And I can recommend it to everyone who is not searching for something too expensive. It runs at an average speed and the OS is nearly up-to-date with 4.1.1. The only thing which is disturbing for me is the EmotionUI 1.0 which Huawei uses. But besides that it's perfect for that price! :victory:

Same goes here, this great handy appeared about a week ago in The Netherlands for only € 119,- it is truly a steal
And yeah, it's really need the rooting because of the whole bunch of bloatware which comes preinstalled and without
the root half of them are not possible to remove. So thank you very much for the solution! My code is on the way, at least i hope so
I hope it's going to have a section here on xda-developers, because there is a lot possibilites in this phone!

Yesterday my Galaxy note broke won't charge anymore.
So i bought this as a replacement till i find something better.
Works good, only gps is acting strange sometimes more then 100meters to the right or left.
but maybe an update wil fix it. was only happening this morning, this afternoon it worked great

There's plenty of gps fix or speedup topic here on xda
After rooting it's possible one of them is going to work

Today it was working just fine
Waiting for my unlock code, they send the email to another department.

There is a new rom posted in the huawei website:

I've received the answer from Huawei yesterday but they sent me back some totally different phone imei, s/n, etc
with a of course wrong unlock code come'on whats going at huawei?!
hope it's going to arrive this week again with the proper code :fingers-crossed:

There's no description about it, maybe just some small fixes.

BTW, my settings menu has changed, I now have to click more settings to get to the normal settings, but it never said it was updated.

Bought the phone 3 days ago. So far absolutely flawless performance unbelievable for that price....
Just the problem with the stock software that`s taking 3 out of the 4 GB internal storage... so should we expect more ROMs to come soon?

Ever tried google? There is exactly what you are asking for
Got a reply from Huawei, but they totaly changed the imei and they couldn't give me an unlock code, does their translation system change the imei number? damn, now i have to mail them again and hope they reply the correct number now.
And since I'm not the first here I'm getting a bad feeling

i know brother what google is for..but on XDA if some one can provide those real images taken by himself that is more reliable...

sorry, only camera I got now is in the phone itself.

Exactly this happened to me few days ago.
EDIT: just received a bunch of mails from Huawei, like 8-9 most of them is with the wrong details, but there is a right one also!!! waiting time was like 1 week and 2 emails

got my phone originally though the orange store SA, but as that's closed up, officially there is no support locally for this phone,
makes trying to find batteries locally a bit of a chore.
and why im asking if there is something else that might also work, like a generic, or compatible?
we do have a representative of STK (who brought out wileyfox) locally, but not sure if they might be able to help?
but first prize, would be a samsung or other battery that would fit perfectly.

Finding batteries anywhere in the world - even in their home UK market - is like searching for hens teeth; Wileyfox lost their way very shortly after their debut a couple of years ago (and long before their collapse and buy-out by STK). Just Google Kazam too.
WF have tried to kill-off the Swift first and foremost amongst their 1st gen range - they hate this phone especially for some reason. They promised a spare battery for general sale but an ongoing supply just never materialised. Indeed a couple of batches at most were brought to market but snapped up very quickly - and that was that. Since then WF maintain radio silence on this subject as is attested to on their Facebook page.
There are some available on eBay or aliexpress, frequently under the part numbers in the previous post. This is because the Swift is a rebadge of an Android One phone hailing from the far east.
