I got the battery, I didn't notice a huge difference but I haven't tracked it at all.
They're are lying to you. basically any battery that's the same size as the stock battery is going to have the same amount of power as the stock battery. The only way to get extra juice is to add extra bulk. However, Seidio makes batteries that don't add extra bulk. Those are rated at 1750 mah. While I still you won't get much more battery life out of these, there at least a reputable company you can trust.
Andida is suppose to be better than a no-name battery. It is a name brand, just a cheaper name-brand and known in China. I bought their 2000mah battery and it seems to be about as good as the stock 1500mah. Then, i found that BatteryBoss tested the Andida 2000mah and it actually tested to be worse than the stock 1500mah Evo battery. I wouldnt want you to waste your money. I guess Seidio would be the only option because Mugen didnt do to good either at BatteryBoss. Sucks too, because they are so expensive, but if you MUST keep the factory battery door and want more juice than thats about your only option. I bought the 3000mah ebay battery with extended battery door and it is just awesome!! Yes, it is bigger. But, its actually VERY nice and looks and feels good with the bigger cover. Oh, and it is hard to kill . I turned on every radio and streamed music over wifi to bluetooth speakers for hours last night trying to run it down and only lost about 7% in the 2 hour span of doing this....
I tried the Andida 2000 and was not better then the OEM battery. Also have the extended 3500 from ebay(10.00) and works well, go a whole day+ with wifi, gps, sync on with mild to moderate use. Switch off and on with the oem and extended.
The 2000mah battery is garbage doesnt last longer than oem bat like others have said. I bought a 1800mah battery from ebay. its been over 24hrs and Im at 22% after 2hrs of calls, 30 txts, 1hr web browsing, & 1hr of pandora, bt is on all day too! I highly recommend, here's the link
http://cgi.ebay.com/2x1800mAh-Battery-Dock-Charger-Sprint-HTC-Evo-4G-/250661324218?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a5c9445ba#ht_3914wt_807
The andida 2000 I purchased was a good battery but I guess I was one of the lucky ones. I currently have a 3500mah battery. I see that there are also 2000mah galiliO batteries now available. I was thinking of getting one and comparing it to the stock battery and the andida 2000. I don't know if the galilieO batteries are 2000mah or just the re-labeled 1800mah batteries that are all over ebay.
@snowplow
you say the only way to add more juice is by adding bulk, but then in the next sentence say seidio is able to do it without adding bulk? not really making sense there! seidios battery i believe tested to be in the 1400s, below the OEM.

Just bought 2 for $16 with a charger... So I'll let you know. Can't see myself being uber angry if it is the same as stock, as having a few spare batteries for mere pittance is great. Gotta love that eBay...
Galilio 2000mah. We'll see.
I actually got the Galileo batteries as well, so far, I'm seeing a little better than usual battery life. which makes me optimistic, considering you don't see the true potential until a few charge cycles, I just got them yesterday.
If you guys are running after market batteries here's a tip.
I have been running my Sedio 1800 mah (I know tested only comes to 1500) and lately my phone has been powering off on it's own. It happened to at the same time as I was running various gingerbread roms so I thought it had something to do with that. After some experimentation I realized that it was happening when I dropped my phone on the desk(ohh, yes I have a tpu case on the phone). I thought great, its a hardware issue and I don't have a warranty. Then after a long day streaming and lots of phone calls I needed to swap batteries and I installed my stock battery. I then noticed that my power off issues went away. I dropped the phone on the desktop 10 more times and no issues. So apparently the Sedio battery doesn't fit quite right in the phone, so wedged some paper at the top of the battery to try to give a little more pressure on the battery pins and that seems to have solved the issue.
the galilios are good batteries for the price, but i believe them to be closer to 1300mah based on my results vs stock.

Just got a "Galilio" 2000mah yesterday. I'll be seeing how it works out over the next few days and report back. It is blatantly for a TP2 but fits VERY snugly in the EVO, (almost too snugly) and is a pain to get in and out. I have to use the corner of my back cover to pry it out...but if it gives me more battery I'll be taking it out less...

I have the exact same thing!. I actually had to rake a razor to one of them and Shane off a little bit of plastic from the top of the battery. Just a tiny bit. Fits perfect now.
There's already a discussion regarding this battery and others at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=925298
That thread is more current than this one that started in Sept '10. Should we use that thread instead of keeping 2 very similar ones? Just a thought.
I have the Andida battery- worked great for a few weeks. Then I started to notice it would lose its charge fast. But this battery stated it was for the TP2- either way it fits the Evo. But when I had it on my TP2- it would hold a good charge.
I love the ebay 3500 batteries- great and still holding a charge (had it for almost a year). I use this one I am going on a long trip or Army training.
I have two of the Galilio 2000mah batteries- made for the TP2- no need to shave any crap- fits perfectly on my Evo. I measured both the OEM and the Galilio batteries- no difference. The Galilio is worth my $9- and I want that OEM look- I also ordered a white OEM Htc back cover. Read somewhere here in XDA- charge your batteries atleast once on a wallcharger- not usb. I find the batteries last longer.
Note, i did buy a generic 2000mah (non Galilio brand)- that was crap.
I have (2) 3500 mAh batteries, (1) 3000 mAh battery, (2) Galilio 2000 mAh batteries, (1) 1750 mAh Seidio battery... and others.

Anyone get anything like this?
Does it give the same results as the seidio battery that goes for $69.99?
Just trying to get some info before I "get what I paid for"
did you try searching first? Theres tons of threads on this battery. I love it and I think its great, I use it every day and it protects the camera lens. defiantly worth the money, forget that sedio ripoff battery unless your rich.

I got my batteries from this guy. They are amazing for the price, not as good as seido but they do hold a charge. I charge mine on the charger it comes with only after I know they are completely dead. I can tell I get about 30-40% more battery life out of them compared to stock, just make sure you cycle them a bunch once you get them. After a few complete drains and full charges they do pretty well. Well worth the money. for 10 more bucks u can get another battery and charger.

I have 2 of these and 2 Seidios. The Seidio's are much better. (I only paid $50 and $45 (one was used from someone with an Incredible on eBay, really is exactly the same battery tho).
The Seidio's have been tested at batteryboss.org to actually be around 2800mAh, which is still about 90% better than stock battery.
After using the 3500mAh Chinese ones, I get the feeling they are actually more around 2100-2150mAh (just my guess, won't know for sure until batteryboss tests them), which is only about 40% better than stock.
Lots of info on the ebay batteries all around. I have the 3000mah and love it. I can finally go all day without charging my phone. I dont even have to think about my battery any more because no matter what it wont be dead before I'm going to bed at night. It would be nearing dead before around lunch time sometimes.
From what I have read though, is that all of these ebay batteries are just 2600mah batteries with different stickers on them....Either way, it last me longer than what I need it to, so I am very happy with it.
Do the 2700, 3000, 3200, and 3500mAH batteries on eBay all seem to come with the same rear cover and make the Evo equally thick, or are the smaller batteries a little bit thinner than the largest ones and sold with slightly lower-profile covers?
Is there a way to buy these for that price without ebay? I got banned over $10. I looked around the cheapest I could find was $50.

This is what the MAH seems around, on ebay this would prob be 10 bucks but since you got banned this was the cheapest i found. I wonder if anyone has tried using these back covers with the seidio battery. I bought the 3500mah ebay battery they just have a higher mah sticker on them but i will post results after 5 or 6 full discharge cycles.

So far, there are two extended battery backs: the Seidio and the "Chinese". I've not seen any others.
I saw those on Amazon, they have a couple of 3500's for 40+shipping. Ill probably just pick up one of those. Thanks.

With the battery conditioned 3 times so far, I am at 72% as we speak. I have been using moderate use with 3g enabled synce full volume and medium brightness. I have been surfing the web and I have sent out about 50 texts. Made around 5 3 minutes calls. These battery's seem to be worth the money if you don't want to spend 60 dollars. I have 2 of these batteries and 1 of them is really good and the other one is so so. The good one is the one I am using now, I am guessing it is around 2100-2500mah not close to seido bat a LOT cheaper with a better back cover. I will post pics when this thing actually dies. I am at 5 hours of awake time and 18 hours of uptime with 18 hours since unplugged. I am also overclocked to 1.2ghz with a live wallpaper running the whole time . I got mine off ebay from feitong2009. Sorry for the wall of text, I just like to help people out a little.
Yea I need one cause I stream radio over 3g alot at work, I get about 3-4 hours on a charge. If I could get at least 8 or more with a fat batt, I'll be happy.
I believe they are only rated at around 2200mah...
I have one, it's alright, I don't use it... makes the phone too far for what it's worth.
Here is the battery life at the end of the day. I turned on the phone before I went to bed and put it into airplane mode. When I woke up I did moderate use through the whole day. Good enough for me.
The ones from feitong are legit. Ice had mine for about a month and a half and I'm getting about 12-18 hrs on medium to heavy usage

Yeah, I ordered one. For $10 - why not? I'll post back my thoughts after I receive and try it out for a bit.
For those who can't but on ebay, gorillagadget has them for $20 and obostore.com has the Yooboa(sp?) 3500mah battery with ebay back for $30. Yooboa is a well known chinese battery brand.
Swyped from my supercharged Evo!
I wonder how the Yoobao stacks up to the seidio. Prob the same as the 10 dollar battery's.
I imagine it is slightly better than the ebay batteries yet still slightly under the Seidio. There is a very small difference in between them all though. All of these batteries should be within $10 of each other. Its just crazy that the Seidio is so much when it just barely out last the ebay batteries....

I have the yoobao battery with the external charger from the obostore. I get 2 days of moderate to heavy use. The most i have got was 83 hours from light to moderate use. I'm running Freshes rom. Theirs a big difference in the battery life if you use the external charger.
Back when the EVO first came out, I jumped on that set of EVO batteries on eBay that was two batteries and a wall charger and the combo proved to be VERY good quality. In fact, I lost my HTC battery and I've been exclusively using these China made batteries for a while now and with my current configuration, I'm getting a day and a half with medium to heavy usage.
Well, I finally lost one of the two China batteries and my wall charger broke because it was stepped on, cough, I need to order another set and I'm wondering who/which set it currently looking the most promising.
I want the two battery charger set again. I'm sure by now someone has made something better. I don't want an over sized battery though,. I want it fit my standard case etc.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Two 1800 mAh batteries with a wall charger. MANY people have ordered this and have nothing but great results. They are indeed 1800 mAh batteries unlike most off brand chinese batteries that end up being a lot less than what they state. Best part is, it fits right in the stock battery cover with no problems! Been using mine for a month or so and battery life has definitely increased a noticeable amount.
Example: Today I have gone 12 hours and 10 minutes since I pulled it off the charger, and the battery is at 54%. That's with moderate usage, and I turned the 3G radio off for about 3 hours because I have basically zero reception in the shop.
Go to ebay and search for evo batteries. There are literally hundreds of listings. They're all virtually the same thing. I bet if you look you'll find essentially the same battery set with charger that you had before, and probably for less than ten bucks (minus shipping).
I just got an official HTC battery (it's black from a different device, Hero I think?) from buy.com for $13 shipped.
Eh.. Yeah I'm not looking to spend $40 dollars on two batteries and a wall charger when I just spent $9.90 SHIPPED for the last set and I'm getting just as good of a charge off those as I did my HTC's. I just asked because I figured there might be something better then what I had before out maybe.
Probably just buy two more of what I already have I guess.
These are the ones that I like the best. I have a few, and I got some for a few of my friends and they agree with me. Doubt they are actually 2000mah but they do last longer than the stock batteries. I also have a few other ebay batteries but these are the best of the bunch.

Hate to say it but you got ripped off big time. These EXACT batteries are all over ebay for under $10 for the same 2 +a charger set you got.
I bought some of those Chinese batteries from a seller named Touch-World or Touch_World or something like that. I tried to find him for you, but it doesn't look like he's selling anymore. I'm not sure it matters, though. The deals look the same. When I bought them it was $8 for two 1500 mAh batteries and a wall charger, all shipped to my house from China for free. Now it looks like you can get 3 of the same batteries with the wall charger for $12.
You are right, though. The batteries are just as good, if not better, than the ones that come with the phone. As I said above, I bought two of them. I used them in my Hero. When I got an Evo, I then had 4 batteries. My girlfriend and I now each have a spare battery.
I have one of thr cheap chinese extended batteries I bought from amazon. I don't feel like I am getting that great of battery life. I get like 12 hours with like 300 texts, moderate surfing, and maybe 2 phone calls. I have 4G off almost all the time but when I turn it on i get maybe 5 hours if I am lucky. I have tried all the calibration tricks and such. Is it worth droping the 50-60 bucks on the Sedio extended battery? Has anyone compared Seidio battery life with battery life on one of these cheap Chinese batteries?
I have about 4 of the Chinese batteries that are 3500mAh supposedly. There was a guy on here selling his 2600mAh Sprint branded extended battery which is made by Seido. When I was using the Chinese batteries I felt the same way you did and I always wondered was it worth it to drop more money for a reputable brand. YES!!! This 2600 battery lasts me 2 days with moderate use. I don't have 4G here so I don't use it. I don't use bluetooth often but I do keep my wifi on at all times. I use my phone texting pretty much most of the day, probably anywhere from 1 to 20 calls per day(I don't like talking on the phone so I don't stay on long usually), I surf the internet and the market regularly and play a few games like Angry Birds Rio and a couple others. I just got a replacement EVO for my stolen one and my replacement will overclock to 1190(haven't gone any higher yet) without causing any problems. My old one I kept on 998 all the time. Ever since overclocking I have seen more battery drain, but I have had my phone unplugged for about 4 hours and have played Angry Birds Rio, surfed the market, Did a Titanium Backup of my apps among other things. The screen was on for about 1 and a half straight while doing these things and my battery dropped from 100% to 93%. Not bad and definitely better than the cheap ones.
IT IS WORTH IT!
So I went out and bought it. The first thing I noticed was that the Platinum battery is quite a bit thicker than the cheap one I got from Amazon. Now I am quite certain that these cheap batteries aren't 3500mAh as advertised. We'll see how this one holds up.

Yeah I tried to get the backplate from the cheap chinese battery to fit over my Sprint branded 2600mah battery and it won't snap on the bottom. It's a shame because I like the Covers from the cheapies better than the ones that came from Sprint. Even my 2600 battery is thicker than the 3500 ones from China.
I was hoping some of the members, devs, and anyone else who uses their phone very heavily like myself could make some recommendations on a replacement battery, possibly an extended battery. I feel like I spend half of the day on the charger cause I use this phone for everything. I am looking to get better overall time off of the charger. I don't have too much cash I can spend but need to do something to get longer life. I've seen several aftermarkets but wanted to know what, if any, experiences people have had with some of these. Thanks for the responses and for your input making my choice.

I have the 3500 battery too, but it didn't give me THAT much better life and they make my phone really bulky.
I just bought three cheap 1500s from Ebay and switch them out. I never have to swap more than once a day, and I consider myself a heavy user. I don't think it's worth spending more than $30 on unless you have the extra cash. I spent $11 and it came with a charger so I could charge them externally. They're definitely cheap, but I've had them a while and never had any issues with them.

Chichitec 1900 mah was what I did, 2 batteries and a charger on amazon 36 dollars. Since I'm keeping my EVO4G for another year I thought it was worth it.

I've had my phone off the charger for 14hrs and had the screen on for 6hrs today. Wifi for 9 hr's and 3g for 4hrs. And I live in a terrible signal area - my battery is at 30%.
I love the feel of the phone with this battery and the added weight. Its a win for me.
