[Q] Resetting reminder indicator LED? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hi,
I have the indicator light set to blink forever in case of a reminder but last week, as a reminder came up, my TP2 crashed so I had to power cycle it. Now even though the reminder has come and gone, the green indicator light keeps blinking.
I can get the LED to stop blinking if I send myself an email and then read it (since I have the indicator light blink on new emails) but if I power cycle, it starts blinking again.
Is there a way to stop this behavior? Tried googling but didn't come up with anything except some links to FixUnreadCount.exe but that seems to be for email and SMS, not reminders.
Thanks.

Turn it off in your settings, soft reset then turn it back on. If that doesn't work you just have to learn to live with it or hard reset.

I think you might need to do a hard reset. Back up your data first.

Doh. I was afraid of that.
What's a good backup program that will let me backup/restore the contacts & SMS conversations?
Thanks.

Notification LED Playing up?

Morning,
Is anyone else finding their Notification LED for text messages (Possibly E-Mail's too) is flashing for 2-3 Minutes then stopping? Missed several texts now because of this and its annoying me that I have to keep unlocking my phone to check for texts.
Is there an option I have missed? Do I have a dodgy Phone? or is that just the way it is?
KYI
I think mine does this too, that's why I was asking for a Wake on Notification app. Can we change LED from green or orange via software?

'Missed call' for the Market lets you (IIRC) change LED colour Whether is is fully operational on Desire, I'm not sure. Don't think you need root access either.
It's only flashes for about 2-3 mins then goes off - if you've not noticed by then I assume it thinks it'll save power...
makes sense to me to be honest. for example if u miss a text on the iphone, it will only chime once more. i wouldnt want mine staying on.
I Suppose I just miss it for the G1 days. My Phone is on silent all day at work and the continious LED was a bonus for notifications. Surely an single LED doesn't draw that much power? Might have to give Missed call a try again.
nah the desire seems to use different code to light up the notification LED so none of the LED apps on the market work anymore. like LEDtester, the LED just flashes green and cant be changed. and handcent, it just flashes green and cant be changed.

have it on vibrate instead - or just check the screen every now and then...
I did post about this earlier but got zero replies so I wondered if it was only me.
Mine blinks for I think it's exactly 5mins. That's it. And I don't think it has anything to do with saving battery since that one blinkiing LED (mostly blinking when then screen is off) does not take much power at all.
I've emailed HTC to see what they say.
Although not ideal, handcent does allow you to set notification reminders.
I have mine set to re-vibrate 15 mins after receiving a text if I haven't checked it. You can change all the options, so have it chime, vibrate, wake scree, flash LED, all of above, one of above etc. at different intervals and a number of times - I find once vibrating only to be a sufficient reminder if it's in my pocket, however if on a desk would probably have the screen re-awaken.
Might help.

Default Mms app not blinking

Whenever I receive a sms/mms the phone vibrates then blinks only once and doesn't blink for the second time. It should continue to blink and I don't know why it's doing that. What should I do to fix this?
If you notice it blink once...then you shouldnt worry about it blinking twice
well the thing is that if i pick up the phone i always check for the blink..
if there's no blink i wouldn't even bother opening it

[Q] Q: Flaky notification light

Hi,
I've found that the notification light on the front of my desire is quite random as to whether it decides to flash or not when a new message has arrived, or when I have a missed call, etc., sometimes it does, other times it does not. Sometimes the light is not flashing, but when I press the power button to unlock the screen, I see that there are new messages waiting.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it software/hardware problem? Or a user problem in that I haven't switched on some setting? I have everything turned on in settings -> Display -> Notification Flash
It's not random but the light only flashes for something like 10 minutes. There are apps, that can keep the light flashing, in the market.
Its not to do with that, I've had it where I watched a sms arrive, the phone beeps and vibrates, but the notification light doesn't blink at all during or after the arrival of the sms.
I never worked this out, in the end i found an app called "LED me know" on this forum which did the trick.

[Q] Pulse notification light?

I was recently going through the phone's settings menu, and in sound and display there is a section called pulse notification light which according to the description, pulses LED light repeatedly for new notifications. I have this checked to do this, but I have never seen the LED pulse for any notifications, whether it be incoming calls, sms, or email. I have checked and unchecked it, rebooted the phone, but to no avail I see no pulse notification.
Am I missing something here?
My phone is totally stock for the OS, and applications.
The notification LED light only blinks if the screen is off and if the notification LED light setting is enabled within their respective applications.
The screen is off, and I don't see any setting within the default messaging app, or the gmail app that says anything about LED notifications. I don't think that is very smart for a smartphone. I hate the phone vibrating while sitting on my desk, I would rather have the LED flashing to notify me of new messages, and/or email.
I'm sorry, there is no LED notification in the settings, bad memory LOL. The LED should work as long as Notifications is checked, although it may be defective, like blinking 5 times when you first receive an email or message, and then blinks sporadically afterwards. A fix is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11292197&postcount=4
It could very well be the case that your LED light is not working and you should go to a repair center to get it checked out.

[Q] LED notification - delay / timeout !

Hi,
How long should last the LED when it's blinking ? SMS received etc...
In my old HTC, I believe it was 5 min.
I am asking the question as when I receive a sms at 1am...it will blink until 6am in the morning....
No really good for my battery even I know it's only a LED...but....
Thanks for your reply.
Cheers,
I miss that option too.
It seems that there is no way to control led blinking time. Led keeps blinking until the missed event is cleared.
I found that better, LED keeps blinking until I check the notification. Hated the 5 mins notification in BlackBerry.
Anyway, you could use Light Manager app, and set sleep time.
Besides, continuous blinking of LED doesn't drain any battery. I often have a SMS or a missed call for more than 4/5 hours, and I never noticed any drain, at all.
